Dr Simonian moved to Pasadenain 1981 and is a graduate of Pasadena High School. He attended the University of Southern California majoring in Biology and Philosophy. He was accepted to the prestigious Dental School of the University of Southern California, which he graduated in 1990 with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr Simonian practiced as a general dentist for 11 years, during which time he held a faculty position at the USC School of Dentistry. He then completed a 3 year full time residency at the Advanced Periodontology Program of the USC School of Dentistry.

In addition to his practice limited to Periodontics and Dental Implants, Dr Simonian is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the USC School of Dentistry's Advanced Periodontology Program, where he is co-director of the surgical seminars.

Dr Simonian has lectured nationally. His scientific articles on dental implants, bone grafting, sinus augmentation and periodontal diseasehave been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including: Journal of Periodontology,The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, Journal of the California Dental Association, Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research andJournal of the Western Society of Periodontology.

Dr Simonian is an active member of the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society.
