We provide high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services to the people who call Vermonts Northeast Kingdom home and the many who enjoy our scenic, historic, and recreation opportunities year-round.

Our robust rural health system includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multiple primary care clinics, specialty and surgical services, birth center, and a 24-hour, physician-staffed emergency department. Our commitment to a lifetime of health and well-being extends beyond our hospital walls through community health initiatives aimed at keeping you and your loved ones healthy throughout life.

NVRH provides high quality healthcare services focused on community needs at the lowest cost consistent with excellent care. NVRH will cooperate with other organizations to provide medical, educational, preventive, and wellness services.

We value NVRH as a fair and compassionate place in which to work, where all persons are valued by the organization and each other, and where employees have opportunities for personal growth and continuing education.

The Corporators consist of members of not less than 50 and not more than 225 persons nominated by the Board of Trustees and elected by the Corporators, and members of the NVRH medical staff who have served as members of the medical staff for at least six months.

NVRH also gives and gets input on a continual basis by participation from staff in ongoing committee and board meetings, events, and activities of local organizations including Umbrella, Inc., Northeast Kingdom Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, the Community Coordinating Council, Northeast Kingdom Youth Services, Rotary, Area Health Education Center, NEK Chamber of Commerce, Northern Counties Health Care, schools, and many more. Representatives from many of these same organizations also serve on NVRH committees.
