Dr. Kousournas has been practicing dentistry for the entire family for 26 years. His office, located in East Hartford, is centrally located and was built solely by 'word of mouth'. Through mutual respect and dedication to the doctor-patient bond, combined with excellent care, all of his patients attest to the family-like relationship with Doctor Steve and his staff.
Dr. Steve was born in Rhodes, Greece and immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 8. He grew up in East Hartford, and because of that childhood bond, he returned here after his studies to practice his passion and gift: dentistry.
Dr. Steve received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Fairfield University in 1983. In 1987, Dr. Kousournas graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.at the top of his class. He was recognized for his 'superior clinical excellence' by the school 's departments of endodontics and complete denture prosthesis. He also received the Maury Massler Award for 'demonstrating outstanding ability academically, clinically and professionally in the clinical phases of restorative dentistry,' along with the Dentsply International Merit Award 'in recognition of having completed with distinction, the undergraduate studies of removable denture prosthodontics.'
