Kotula Dental follows the original mission statement established at the offices beginning: We are determined to provide comprehensive quality-oriented oral health care to our family of patients in an environment that promotes mutual respect and comfortable, stress-free dentistry.
Kotula Dental extends well beyond the teeth as well. A healthy mouth requires a sound mind and healthy body as well. We have expanded our horizons to include: community outreach programs, snoring/sleep apnea prevention, mouth guards, quit smoking programs, oral hygiene instruction, diet/habit control instruction, oral head and neck cancer exams, and grief/stress counseling, to name a few.
The Kotula Dental office logo depicts the dual importance of both in-office care performed by quality dental practitioners and diligent at-home care performed by informed knowledgeable dental patients.
Growing up in a small town in New Jersey meant going to the same dental office that his family went to without many choices for change if he wanted. Dr. Ned never liked his family dentist and vowed if ever he was blessed to go into dentistry, he would focus and dedicate his mission to making a difference!Boy has he ever!
He graduated from New Jersey Dental School and moved to Reading to pursue a resident training program at St. Joseph Medical Center and achieved his goal of owning his own office. His training allowed him to be proficient in all aspects of dentistry and his focus was still on the feelings and relationships with his new family of patients. As word of mouth grew throughout the community his office grew quickly and needed to relocate from the city. In 2001, he reopened his office at his now current suburban location and was overwhelmed by the response and welcome of an expanded family of patients. Because of the location and continued growth, Dr. Ned and staff expanded and renovated the office building to create the current footprint that Kotula Dental operates out of today.
No two days are ever the same within the walls of this dental office. There is definitely a very personable feel to Kotula Dental, and his family of patients has appreciated it. He never rests on his laurels and is constantly trying to improve the office with the help of staff and family. Dr. Ned continues to deliver great quality dental care in a clean environment that is upbeat and often fun. He feels that his patients are very important and deserve the very best because they have the ability to choose where their teeth are cared for and serviced. His hope is that patients will encourage their families and friends to grow up in the dental practice that cares and they can all feel comfortable leaving their smiles in the gloved hands of Kotula Dental.

Another great visit at the dentist... anyone who can say that knows if you can say that about a Denist visit, that Denist must be pretty awesome! Also, big thanks to the most fabulous dental hygienist, Tina rocked it today! Thanks for all you guys do :-)

Dr. Ned and his staff are understanding, efficient, concerned, and have taken my fear of dental work away. I get excellent care and suggestions for keeping my teeth healthy. The office is decorated in a way that makes me feel comfortable and welcome, and Dr. Ned likes to celebrate the holidays in his own unique way. I never want to change to any other dental office. Thank you all!

Super friendly. One of the funniest dentists I've ever been too. I have high anxiety, but specially at dentists. He really went above and beyond, explained everything, sang lol, and was a fun and stress free experience. By the end of the appointment o was pretty relaxed, His quality of work was also exemplary, I think i found my forever dentist!

Kristi did a great job cleaning my teeth, and really took her job. Dr. Ned also took did a great exam and caught an issue that my past dentist missed. Very friendly staff and clean office. From the outside, the building looks a little old. But the inside is up to date and clean!

I was told by a different dentist that my four year old son and two year old daughter needed procedures I didn't feel comfortable with at all and that I would not even be allowed in the room during them. I came to Dr. Kotula for a second opinion. He sat with me for a long time last week and discussed in length my desire to solve the underlying issue of my son's weak enamel and an alternative plan to deal with his existing cavities, as well as respecting my wish to postpone any work on my daughter that wasn't absolutely necessary. Today we went in to fill two of the cavities and Dr Kotula was absolutely amazing! He explained everything clearly to my four year old and to me, he made the experience fun, silly and completed the task without any laughing gas or numbing medicine whatsoever. My son was a trooper with only one slight outcry of pain the whole time. I would say he's actually looking forward to going back in three weeks to fill another tooth! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kotula and his team. I'm so thankful I listened to my gut rather than blindly listening to the first dentist we saw, I believe I avoided making the dentist a terrifying place forever for my child by coming to Kotula Dental!

I have been coming to Dr. Ned for many years and I have always had great service. I love his personality and how he always tries to make your dental experience fun. I know all three of my Children appreciate this. I have referred Kotula Dental to many of my friends and family who have also had a very positive experiences. My daughter and I had appointments today and we both received excellent care. Christy was knowledgable and gave good advice to both of us and Dr. Kotula followed up on her advice with more detailed information for my daughter. Always look forward to visiting with Christy. She's polite and friendly and never minds looking up insurance questions. My whole family goes to Kotula Dental. Would recommend to anyone.
