Originally from Michigan, Dr. Kott received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 1999. As a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service, Dr. Kott has completed several tours of duty as Senior Dental Officer in the United States Coast Guard and as Deputy Chief Clinic Administrator with the Indian Health Service, all stationed in Alaska.

After gaining a variety of valuable experiences in general dentistry, Dr. Kott felt compelled to specialize in treating children. He completed his Postgraduate Residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2009.

Dr. Kott is the best pediatric dentist I have ever known. He fixed my 6 yr old daughters abscesses, a previous Dr. wanted to pull 4 and cap 6, Dr. Kott managed to pull only 2, cap 2, and fill the rest. He has a great demeanor with the kids and my daughter likes him. I wish he also worked on adults! (Review on ratemds.com)

Dr Kott is amazing, our kids are actually excited to go to the dentist. Dr Kott is lightning fast and organized which makes the visit move quickly, and super knowledgeable so his advice and guidance is valuable. Awesome experience every time.

We are in Boulder and have three kids who have seen Dr. Kott for nearly ten years now. He is a wonderful pediatric dentist and an excellent communicator. The staff are also very friendly.

Dr Kott and his whole team are AMAZING. Our girls (4YO) have had a great time every time they go - including when they needed a filling. It's fun and super clean in the office. The team is so great with kids. They take the time to make sure kids are comfortable and know what's happening. And they have great treats at the end. Can't recommend them highly enough. For the really littles, suggest showing them the Daniel Tiger "Goes to the Dentist" episode beforehand. It worked like a charm for us.

THE best pediatric dentistry practice my kiddos have ever been to. While the office can be difficult to find without navigation assistance, I have found that there's usually plenty of parking. The office is allergy-free so please don't bring in food. You're happily greeted by their warm and welcoming receptionist. She's professional and accommodating when processing insurance, billing and scheduling. Love her. A play area flanks the waiting area; magazines available for adults and kids. When it's their turn, the dental techs greet the kids and then bring them back to the x-ray room (if they are due). They then perform their cleanings in the kid-friendly chairs; reassuring and informative the entire time. And then finally Dr. Kott examines the kiddos. He's so energetic and interactive with them. They really feel like they are important and are never afraid to ask questions or voice themselves. Unless we are visiting for a specific concern, I really like that the majority of the appointment is focused on the kids and then I am updated at the end. I appreciate that children are prioritized and inturn learn to self-advocate. Parents are always welcome through the process but I have found that over the years, the kids and I have both become more comfortable and I no longer need to be present for every step. Wonderful practice. Couldn't be happier.

Dr. Kott is an incredible dentist for kids. My kids don't like going to the dentist, but he's patient and understanding with their crying, and tries hard not to push anything on them. Yesterday evening, my son broke his front tooth in half. I called Dr. Kott after hours, and he texted me right back with a couple of questions. Then he said he could see my son the next day, on his day off! My son is not quite two years old, and the tooth had to be extracted. My son screamed and screamed at the nitrous mask, but magically, Dr. Kott got him to calm down enough to breathe in, and then, he sang to him throughout the procedure to keep him calm as he removed the tooth. My son kept saying, "again!" whenever he would finish a song. In short, Dr. Kott is a miracle worker, he's reliable and there in an emergency, and I would trust him with my child's life. If he has openings for clients, no question you should try to get your child in with him.

Dr Kott, and everyone else who works there for that matter, have been a joy to work with. They keep cleanings quick and entertaining for the little ones. The office is clean and modern.
