Dr. Kotis received a bachelors degree in 2001 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in psychology and African studies. She then went on to pursue a masters degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and graduated in 2004. Later, she attended the University of Kentucky to acquire her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2009.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Kotis worked at several different dental practices before coming to Kotis Dentistry. From July 2009 to July 2010, she worked as a general practice resident at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She then worked at two separate dental practices in Ithaca, New York.
Dr. Kotis is also a part of several different dental associations and has received many different awards throughout her undergraduate, graduate and dental studies. Furthermore, she has been published in both academic and professional peer-reviewed journal publications.

I know it's my responsibility to find out if in network or not but was in such pain I just needed some relief. Sitting there waiting and hoping so bad that the relief was soon to come. Until they told me how much it was going to be to get that relief. I believe, and there are some who don't believe, that a doctor should Inform you about in network or not! So I left in tears! And in bad pain! Amanda would have not let that happen!

They do great with getting you in. For someone with no insurance at that. But don't go if you have an infection. They charge an additional $150 to "drain" it. Along without a prescription for pain medicine. But they got the job done. Sweet staff. Just pricey.

I will never go back to this place I don't like the way they are they don't try and help you they try and make money there are two different Dentistry people there a man and a woman I seen the woman first six months later I seen the man they both gave me two different quote and told me two different things that were wrong with my teeth and I'm like are you serious I know somebody else who went there they take out their client denture plate went to go clean it didn't rinse the stuff off of it put it back in their mouth and now they have blisters all on the upside of their guns they have no idea what they're doing a talk like it they act like it but really they're just trying to get money out of you I do not recommend this place to anyone

I'm a current work in progress and healing from 3 extractions today. Dr. Kotis is a great person. She's very kind, patient and understanding. She had no problem with accommodating MY wishes and has been very patient with my financial circumstances. Continuing to pay loads of money for my smile to be treated like some sort of patchwork quilt while my teeth fall apart all around is a thing of the past. I went through 5 different dentists to find her. She's not in my insurance plan network, but I wouldn't trade her or her staff for the world. She is worth the 10% loss from insurace.

Loved my experience at Kotis Family Dentistry...They go above and beyond for their patients..I highly recommend this office to anyone that needs any dental work. I will also like to include that the dental assistant Teyaja did an awesome job as well...

I have to say my experience here has been the best I've ever had! I have very high anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they used sedation to help me and it really helped me a lot and they are very nice people!! Dr Kotis is the best and she is very gentle!! I would refer anyone to her and they get 5 stars from me!! Keep up the good work y'all!!
