Dr. Hamlet Garabedian is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended dental school at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts from where he graduated with the highest academic honors. He then went on to attend medical school at UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at what is now the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where he also served as chief resident.
After completing his training, Dr. Garabedian moved to New Jersey where he practiced the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for seven years with an emphasis on complex implant reconstructive surgery, bone grafting, facial trauma, wisdom teeth extraction and office anesthesia. Dr. Garabedian and his family then moved back to Southern California where he joined his longtime friend and colleague to establish their new state-of-the-art practice in Glendale, California. Dr. Garabedian is on staff at Glendale Adventist Medical Center and St. Joseph Providence Hospital in Burbank California. When not working, He likes to spend time with his wife and two children and enjoys biking, swimming and playing tennis.
Dr. Kotikian is a dual degree(meaning he completed both dental school and medical school) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who completed his dental school at UCLA, then went on and did a one year Hospital Dentistry Residency at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital where he dealt with medically complex patients. Following his one year residency at the Long Beach VA he moved to Michigan where he completed his medical degree at Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, did two years of general surgery and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Dr. Kotikian is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon whospecializes in oral and maxillofacial trauma, infections, oral pathology resection and reconstruction, treatmemt of obstructive sleep apnea patients(surgical and non-surgical), and craniofacial anomalies (orthognathic surgery/corrective jaw surgery). In theclinic setting, he routinely performs IV sedations for complex cases including impacted wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone graftingand tumor excisions.
Dr. Kotikian is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Southern California Orofacial Academy. He routinely lectures on subjects related to his field at both the local and national level. Dr. Kotikian has been featured in the LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Glendale Newspressand many other local newspapers for his work in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Kotikian has also been featured on CNN Headline News local edition and the Diane Sawyer nightly news on ABC.

I got my wisdom teeth removed about two weeks ago and it went great! Dr. Kotikian and his team did an amazing job with the surgery and my recovery process was very smooth! I had little to no swelling with no bruising at all! He even takes the time to call his patients to follow up after the surgery. The nurses were absolutely amazing as well! I 100% recommend his practice to anyone who needs oral procedures. Thank you so much for taking such good care of your patience Dr. Kotikian! Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

would literally never go back here or to the dentist who referred me here bc it was such a bad experience i don't want to go back to anyone who would even work with them charged me $1800 out of pocket bc my insurance needed time to process the dental surgery approval and never reimbursed me when my insurance paid. i literally had to get my credit card company involved to have them cancel the charge and refund me bc this dentist office refused to refund me and continually dodged answering me abt my money.

Honestly, nothing against this office but I was just unhappy with my own decision to have my gums cut into. Didn't realize it would cause me to have uncontrollable bleeding and other gum problems. I am grateful this office did as I asked, although I do wish I would have gone through my molar removal differently. Sending love to the hardworking Drs. Kotikian and Garabedian.

I was able to get into see Dr. Kotikian right away and he performed the surgery I needed that day. It was very efficient and helpful as I was in pain and was having trouble getting the issue resolved elsewhere. The office staff let me know right away what the charges would be (my portion and my insurance coverage)-- no surprises. He called me personally when he received the test results which relieved my concerns and kept me from worrying for two weeks until the follow up appointment. He was very straightforward, helpful and skilled. I would definitely go back and/or recommend the office to anyone.

My experience with Dr. Kotikian and his entire team was absolutely amazing. I had my wisdom teeth removal procedure about two weeks ago and the surgery itself went very smoothly. I was throughly informed about the surgery and felt very comfortable the entire time. Dr. Kotikian truly cares about his patients and it shows in his work. The healing process was very easy from minimal swelling and absolutely no bruising. A job well done!

Dr. Kotikian and his staff are amazing! I had a set appt for my wisdom teeth and was a little nervous coming in, but he & his staff made me feel so comfortable and they walked through the process with me. It went smoothly and I would def recommend Dr. Kotikian.

I had to take 4 wisdom teeth out at the same time, it got me scared. But during the surgery I didn't feel anything and just fell asleep. Once I woke up, it wasn't as scary as I would've thought. Dr. Kotikian did a really great job!

I was recommended to Dr. Kotikian by my girlfriend and I'm very glad I was. Overall, my experience with him and the office was very quick, easy and painless. First, I'll start by saying Dr. Kotikian is extremely friendly and professional. I was uneasy about having 5 teeth pulled and being put under with anesthesia, but Dr. Kotikian made me feel a lot more comfortable after one conversation. Second, the staff are all nice and efficient as well. My surgery must have taken less than an hour and everyone was super helpful through the entire process. The location is safe and the office is very clean which is especially important. They made everything super easy!

Tnx so much for getting me in so quickly. Able to work before (on pain meds) and return to work right after as he removed wisdom tooth with a local. My insurance took care of everything. No pain after and I didn't even need to take any pain med, not even a plain tylenol although they gave me scrip for pain med as well as antibiotic. I did put ice on my cheek with a charcoal poultice, but not as much as I would because it's hard to see patients at the hospital holding an ice bag. Wow. Tnx so much again for getting me taken care of quickly. Another dentist was asked to do this first but made it a long drawn out affair with no promise when I would get tooth removed. Also with that dentist I would have had to take 2 days off work. It's the next morning after, still no pain. Thanks be to God and to His partner Dr Garabedian and office staff. All staff were great too!! Uodate 5 days late, still no pain. Started eating bread yesterday. Healing well. Follow all directions!
