The staff at Korel Family Dentistry is friendly and professional. The work performed by Dr. Korel and his team is excellent and affordable. I am 68 years old and have experienced many dentists through the years. I can recommend Korel Family Dentistry without hesitation. Give them a call.

Hey, this office has a very rude front desk lady. No manner whatsoever, she needs to learn how to handle and talk to a customer.

As we all know more than 80 percent of people are afraid of going to the dentist. They come up with reason after reason not to go, such as the appointment not fitting into their schedule, or not knowing any "good" dentists in the area. Some are afraid of being hurt, but most people's fear seems to be based on other people's experiences. Knowing exactly what to do if you do have a dentist who you feel is bad at their craft can help ease your mind and hopefully reduce that fear. First, upon my discussing the problem with the dentist Mr. Yosuf korel seems as a gentlemen and very nice guy , but it hits you hard when you talk to anyone on he's staff specially a lady name Zina or Zena and another one in the front desk oh they are both unprofessional rude and disrespectful they really have no clue about dealing with patients or clients . We all know that mistakes can be made in my case this case it is simple explanation you have to be the judge of whether your issue is actually with the dentist himself or herself, or with some of the clerical staff and my issues was with the dentist clerical staff. Often, a dentist dose not want to lose your business and will rectify the situation immediately but this dentist will prefer to lose a client and have he's client badly treated and lose business and not a member of staff as it seems the lady at the front desk it is he's wife , I really feel bad for this gentlemen. So I will leave it to you to judge and I wish Mr. Korel all the best where we are moving our business to a better dentist and better staff honestly it was waist of time and money and to much headache at this dentist never again ever.

I have been going to Dr.Korel for a while for work done on my teeth. Recently I went in for a check up and they filled 1 cavity. The receptionist at the front charged me for 2 cavities filled, a yearly routine cleaning that is supposed to be covered by the insurance, and a laser cleaning over my teeth which I had not had done. I got home to realize she overcharged me 600.40. I called to ask her to break down my receipt because I did not understand why she charged me so much. She was very rude and impatient once she realized I told her she had overcharged me. She claimed that she printed me a reciept with all the work that needs to be done but later goes back into the computer and alters it when she has time.. So my receipt DID NOT match her receipt in the computer.. She admitted she charged me for all the work I was SUPPOSED to get done so when I come back you don't owe anything.. Never once did the receptionist run any of my procedures through my insurance so everything I paid was out of pocket and after my visit she ran it through the insurance and got DOUBLE PAID. She tried to rush me off the phone and told me that she was not fixing anything. She told me to "do what I had to do because she was not refunding me any money from the overcharge. Several weeks later Dr. Korel called asking what happened because his receptionist did not say anything to him about the situation going on. I explained to him she overcharged me for procedures that I did not get done and that were supposed to be covered by my insurance. He apologized for her mistakes and asked me to sit down with him to talk over the charges. I did not want to sit down with him because I had already filed a complaint through my insurance. He continued to call for weeks asking me where to send the paycheck for being overcharged AFTER the BBB (Better Business Bureau) got involved. The receptionist at the front overcharges and scams people and doesn't tell the doctor but lies saying that she spoke to Dr. Korel and he doesn't want to speak to you. This has happened to my family TWICE now and we will never be going back!

Been coming here for about 5+ years now and always a great experience! Everyone is super nice and accommodating. Teeth cleanings have always been pretty quick and thorough. Had a few root canals and deep cleanings done and never had any issues.

The Korel Family Dentistry has done a wonderful job on my teeth I could not have asked for a better doctor. He treats you like your his family and his supporting crew is the best in El Cajon. There is not a better Dentistry in just El Cajon, but in all of California.

warning to everyone!! I had never experienced anything like this before. At least not in US. Maybe in a third-world country like the one I came from. I just got HMO insurance and picked Korel do to his location. I called them and very condescending (which is ok I taught, people have different personalities) receptionist, Adehlia had answered the phone. To make a very long story short, this lazy woman (I say that because receptionists usually do themselves what she had me do three times) had told me three times ( on different days and different times) that I can't be their new patient because the three times the insurance had tried sending her illegibility forms, she has not received them. Each time she just had me call my insurance and waste my time. Finally, last time I had called my insurance, my insurance agent had asked to do a three way call with her to confirm she got the fax and when I did, receptionist hung up on me. At that point, I wanted to see Dr. Korel, so I drove there. I felt that it was unfair, that this inexperienced person pretty much takes advantage of him by literally making it impossible for him to have new patients. So I came there and told him I wanted to see him. She pretty much laughed at my face and told me that since Iam upset, they don't want me as a patient. Then, an assistant came out who looked like a doctor so I asked him if he was Dr. Korel. He looked at me, laughed in my face and told me they don't want me as their patient. Then she called me again and told me again that she had went in the back and talked to Dr. Korel and that he has also said he doesn't want me as a patient. Now, that I look back, I'm actually so so thankful that this had happened because if they were nice, and I did become their patient, and later something went wrong like an overcharge or a tooth not being treated properly, there is no way that this place would work with you to resolve the problem.. Be careful of positive reviews you read about this place.

I have been seeing Dr. Korel for years and have appreciated and enjoyed his professionalism, gentleness and great professional staff! Very personable as well as knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone. His dental office gives you the small family experience compared to big business dentistry. Blessings!!

I took my mom by Dr. korel for a consultation for veneers because she had short teeth and A lot of gaps between her teeth. He was able to transform her teeth and they look amazing. He's the right Dr. to trust.
