Dr. Scott A. Koplon earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and performed a one year residency at the Veterans Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. A graduate from The Dental Implant Institute of Las Vegas, he is a certified member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Alabama Dental Association (ALDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Institute of Implant Dentistry (AIID). Dr. Koplon is also a member of Cerinates Lumineer Preferred Dental program for the state of Alabama.
Dr. Koplon consistently develops his cosmetic and surgical practice with an aesthetic approach, helping patients achieve the smile theyve always wanted while continued to expand his practice and capabilities. Through continued education courses, on-going skill set enhancement and regularly updating office technology, Dr. Koplons dual mindset of strengthening his knowledge and abilities in order to better all aspects of our patient care reflects in his devotion to provide patients quality oral healthcare in a reassuring atmosphere.
Dr. Koplon has been a resident of Birmingham for more than 45 years and has been practicing dentistry in his Leeds office for more than 28 years. He is married to his lovely wife Amy and has three children: Adam, Joshua and Jordan. When he is not at the office, he enjoys time with his family and running with his dog, Buddy.
Dr. Adam Koplon is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and is the son of Dr. Scott Koplon. Throughout his life, Dr. Adam looked forward to joining the family practice and loves serving the offices patients.
Dr. Adam is an avid golfer, college football fan and loves to fish. He and his wife Savannah reside in Birmingham and look forward to being a part of the community and serving those looking to achieve their best smile yet.
Dr. Adam has completed an implant externship program in conjunction with Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, has completed Alabama Implant Education courses and training, is DOCS Oral Conscious Sedation certified. He is certified in BOTOX administration, CEREC Same-Day Crowns, and Invisalign.

It was my first time visit and all the staff and doctors greeted me either in the room or in the waiting room everybody was so nice and so helpful I am proud to become one of their patients it went so smooth and so easy I was amazed I would recommend everyone for this dentist

Very friendly staff, everyone says hello to you from the time you enter until the time you leave. They definitely important person at that time. I just had the rest of my teeth extracted and fitted with my temporary dentures. AMAZING work doctor Adam! Can't wait for my implants! I highly recommend this dentistry to all.

Original review related to treatment: I am TERRIFIED of dental instruments in my mouth...like IRRATIONALLY fearful. I was unable to have sedation, because of cost and the fact that I didn't want to ask anyone to drive me to and from my appointment. I had not been to the dentist in over 10years, due to all of the above. I had to go, because I had an infection under an old filling, that was causing pain. I was given an antibiotic and an appointment for a cleaning, to be followed by an appointment for the needed root canal. I have panicked many days waiting for each appointment. My first follow up was a cleaning and full exam. I was excruciatingly nervous...but tried not to seem that way on the outside... I did verbalize my irrational fears, and from the first moment I was greeted, until I left, the hygienist cleaning my teeth was so very compassionate and gentle with me. Today, I went for my root canal and temporary bridge. I was up all night with anxiety awaiting this appointment. Dr. Koplon and his staff were incredible. I could feel my heart nearly beating out of my chest and although I tried my best not to panic, I could feel my body taking over the role...they had also given me headphones prior to starting to keep me distracted, and were very reassuring the entire time. Dr. Koplon gave me plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and was very responsive to my concerns. I'm over 40, and I've never had a good experience at the dentist...EVER. But Dr. Koplon's office are 2-0 this season. ;) I feel like they might win the Super Bowl at this rate. I still have anxiety about upcoming appointments...I know it's irrational...BUT I know and trust that they will take very good care of me while in their care.

I have always been a little scared of the dentists, but this was a good experience. From the receptionist as I entered, to the technician cleaning my teeth. Everyone was professional while providing a calm atmosphere. That was much needed to call my nerves.

Worst and most money hungry dishonest dentist ever. He should be out of business. He caused me a lot of pain and expense trying still to correct the mess he made in my mouth. Somehow he hides his bad reviews towards the end. Be sure to thoroughly look and read about how much he lies, and takes peoples money.

Thank u so much to Dr.Scott an his assistant Krisstin, for taken me in Tuesday, October 11th, when they were ready to close. I had just left the ER, with an Absesis in the roof of my mouth, an one on the gum, from a tooth, that had been bad for sometime. The ER gave me an IV, biotics. Was going to admitt me, but plans changed. I went to Koplons they were still there. They took me into a room. An said if u wait to see an oral surgeon it can take days. This needs to be fixed now. I had numbing Jel, couple of shots. An never felt any of it. Maybe a little pressure here an there. Removed three teeth, cleaned inside the gum an bone. They saved my life, that nite. Cause it had done started moving to my jaw, an sinus cavity. I have always taken care of my teeth, but , D.V. an sickness had destroyed the roots. They were so concerned, he keot telling me, I was a strong woman. To have to dealt with this so long. Prayers are with everyone there. For who u are an what you,ll do. You can just feel the care, around you. They acted fast. It didn,t hurt when they did it. An I haven,t hurt afterwards. The office is gorgeous. Sanitized. 100%. Clean. It doesn,t just smell clean, it's clean. Thank u for acting quick. Saving my Life. My gums an bone. I can,t say enough. To thank ya,ll. Huggs

I absolutely love Koplon's dentist office. My first visit there I had a toothache and they squeezed me in to see me that same day . I called several other places and they could not see me . I was so thankful for them getting me in and out of pain. Thank you Drs.

The best dentist office I have ever been to. Today we started the process for my implants, needless to say I was a bit nervous, but that ended real soon , Dr Adam and Jami made me very comfortable and assured me I was going to be fine. They were absolutely wonderful, I calmed down they did there work and treated me great . The work was done and I had no problems never knew really they were working in my mouth, 7 teeth pulled implants procedure started and Im at home with very minimal pain. Thanks Dr Adam & Jamie , y'all are my hero's . If you are one that fears the dentist like I did , I promise they will take that fear away. 10+
