Dr. Koontz was raised in Enumclaw, Washington. After graduating from Enumclaw High School in 2004, Dr. Koontz attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience. He then attended dental school at the University of Washington, graduating with a doctorate of dental surgery. Upon finishing dental school, Dr. Koontz was excited to return to work in Enumclaw and has been here ever since.
Dr. Koontz enjoys motorbiking, snowmobiling, mountaineering and pretty much any outdoor activity. You can find Dr. Koontz hiking Mt. Peak early in the morning or climbing Mt. Rainier. Dr. Koontz lives in Enumclaw with his wife, Nicole on a small farm.
Courtney, began her dental career in 2006 as an orthodontic assistant, and worked while she attended dental hygiene school in Seattle. She graduated from hygiene school in 2010 and carries her hygiene, anesthetic, and restorative licensures, as well as a school of fluoride endorsement and laser certification. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart and has 2 young children. Her family resides locally, where they spend the majority of their time outdoors on their property. She is a talker and loves having lively conversations with her patients on an array of topics! Down to earth and easy going, Courtney is such a fun asset to our office.
Alisha has been in the dental field for 17 years and is passionate about patient care. She loves getting to know her patients and helping them feel comfortable. Alisha recently moved to Enumclaw with her husband, two children, and dog. In her spare time, she enjoys renovating their family home, weightlifting, and being with her family.
Ashlie graduated from Enumclaw High School and attended college at Eastern Washington University. She joined our team in 2020 as a dental assistant/sterilization tech. She loves the world of dentistry, and would like to continue her education to become a dental hygienist in the future. When Ashlie is not working she enjoys traveling and camping with her friends and family.
Darlene started out as a dental receptionist in 1995. Shortly after she focused on insurance billing and payment for patients. She is our liaison between the patient and insurer, making sure the patient's claims are processed correctly and in a timely manner. She enjoys visiting with patients and giggling with her co-workers. She lives locally with her husband of 37 years. In her time off she enjoys spending time with family, snowmobiling and traveling to the tropics.
Trina has been in the dental field for 25 years. She completed a Dental Assisting program in 1996 and began working in a dental office both as an assistant to the dentist, and as an administrative assistant in the front office. She has enjoyed being an office manager for 8 years, and joined our team in the Spring of 2021. She loves the dental field and helping patients through the process of receiving great dental care. She feels that being compassionate towards patients' care is important clinically as well as in the support from the front office. She will guide you through each step alongside the rest of the Koontz Dental team. She is available to answer any of your questions, especially regarding your dental treatment and any financial assistance. She has lived in the community for 20 years and has enjoyed raising her two boys in Enumclaw. Trina appreciates her time with her family and looks forward to traveling with them when she can. She is her boys' biggest fan when it comes to their activities.

I've used a lot of dentists, not really finding one who balances new age technology and good patient care. Dr Koontz is very personal with each patient and spends the time to get your dental needs completed, correctly and in your best interest. Office staff is amazing and the office is very nice and clean. Worth the drive if you need a dentist!

I love this dentist! I would recommend to anyone! I hated going to the dentist before I came here because I had such bad teeth problems and the dentist always made me scared or hurt my teeth. From the moment you walk in to the office the receptionists are so kind and inviting. Then the assistants and hygienists explain what is happening and make sure you are comfortable and know exactly what is happening and are so kind. Lastly is Doctor Koontz, he is so friendly and funny. He always helps me feel comfortable with what they are working on and makes me love going to the dentist! I would recommend them to everyone!

Wonderful staff and dentist. I was in pain and had to have a old wisdom tooth extracted . I feel so much better now. I recommend going here for all your dental work. I go next moth for a cleaning. Thank you so much !

Dr. Koontz is Great!! He has done a great job repairing my teeth and enhancing my smile. His office staff are very helpful and friendly, his Hygenetists do a great job cleaning and are fun to talk to. I highly recommend Koontz dental!!

The staff is so friendly and helpful. I feel like I can trust them with my teeth. They'll take good care of me and not try to pressure me into procedures I don't really need. I had been pressured at a different Dental Clinic and that is why I decided to try Koontz Dental. I'm happy with the way they welcomed me and treated me.

I've always hated going tonthe dentist. I Recently returned to the area and had to find a new dentist. Dr. Koontz and his staff are amazing! They are friendly, accommodating, thorough and avoid pain for the patient. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
