Switched over to Dr. Kooning's office a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier! Every staff member that has worked on me has been very diligent and they always make sure I'm comfortable (I've had some intense operations!). Fair pricing with flexible payment terms - I'll keep going back!

Very friendly staff, making a typically miserable experience, more than tolerable. Maybe even fun! They're also very thorough and did a magnificent job cleaning my teeth and informing me about what I need to do to keep them looking good. Dr. Kooning also seems like a very down to earth person, on top of being a wonderful dentist. 10/10, would recommend.

Everything about this experience was positive from the clean and welcoming waiting area to the attentive, friendly and courteous staff to the competence ad professionalism of the hygienist and Dr Kooning himself. The "whats" and "whys" of both procedures being done during this visit and restorative procedures recommended were clearly explained. Also welcome was the absence of what I would characterize as "oversell", that is a hyper aggressive pitch to project every dental imperfection into some kind of potential future catastrophe unless some major restorative procedure was done within a few days. No, none of that here. The two recommended restorative procedures, one of which I am having done next week, both seem necessary and the rationale for doing each was clearly explained by Dr Kooning and supported by visual x-ray evidence that even a lay person could understand.

Took my boyfriend to this company. They kept rescheduled his root canal for a later date until it was too late and we had to go to an emergency dentist to get it extracted because he was in excruciating pain. We called to let them know we will no longer be seeing them and they were so awful about him changing dentists, they continued to still charge him for a procedure he never even got even still to this day. Do yourself a favor a find a dentist who actually cares and sticks to the appointed time that was originally scheduled.

UPDATE: I had a really poor experience with office manager, Risa. As mentioned below in my previous 5 star review, I really appreciate accurate insurance coverage information. The office had checked my insurance and told me a procedure was covered before I had it done, and I proceeded with the dental work. After the second time I had this procedure done (6 months later), Risa told me it had not been covered and charged me for both procedures. I was not informed it had not been covered before I proceeded to have it done a second time, which was frustrating. I made two healthcare/financial decisions for myself based on inaccurate information. Risa claimed they had only given me an "estimate", which was completely false. After going back and forth, she agreed to refund me for the procedures, which I had regrettably paid after feeling embarrassed when she confronted me about it in office. Later that week, she called to tell me that they would not be refunding me. She lied multiple times, saying she had to get approval for the refund and that she never agreed to refund me in the first place, even though she took down my current address to cut me a check and stated she'd call when it was in the mail. She said she only took my address to update it in the system since I had moved. In addition, she had agreed to refund me after making me consent to prior authorizations for all future work I have done with them, even routine cleanings (which I said fine, because I don't trust them to give me accurate billing information now anyway). What the heck?? I'm more upset with how this whole customer service situation was handled rather than the $. Risa denied my request to speak to Dr. Kooning or my hygienist. I've had a fine experience otherwise and feel bad for Dr. Kooning if he doesn't know this is how customer service situations are being handled. My family and I have chosen to go elsewhere. 7/2021 Review: Always a great experience at Kooning. I'm especially thankful for Guillermo, who is kind, patient, thorough, and careful every cleaning to make sure I'm comfortable. I also appreciate that the staff makes sure to check my insurance benefits before x-rays etc. without me even asking, so there are no surprises. Thanks, team!

Dr. Kooning and his team have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They've handled quite a few issues for me over years, everything from cleanings and whitening to crowns and implants, and I couldn't be happier with the job they've done restoring my smile. Whether you just need a cleaning or some major restoration work I'd highly recommend giving Dr. Kooning's office a call.

Manager Risa was welcoming and professional. She was very thorough with her work and made sure before and after my visit I understood what was going on and how much my portion would be, so that I wouldn't be surprised. The Dentist himself and hygienist are such a great team and they made sure I was comfortable and they explained each procedure thoroughly and the after care/ after the meds wear out of what I should expect. Thank you!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this practice. Our whole family go here and the service is tailored to each individual without fail. From the minute you walk in you are made welcome and comfortable. We have had expert care ranging from young kids on their first visit, through to adults getting major reconstructive work and feeling embarrassed about getting started on that recovery path. Every question is answered expertly with sincerity, and every opportunity is explored on insurance coverage plans. Kooning dentistry is a scam and they don't care for their patients. I wanted to try a new dentist after not going to see one in a long and was referred by my boss to come to them. They saw me for my first check up and they found I had a cavity. They said they would see me the next month. Before the next month came around they rescheduled another month in advance. Once that month came by my tooth was in extreme pain and the cavity had reached my gums. They had the audacity to "ask" to push my appointment 4 months out. I immediately said no and that I didn't want to see them again, went to a differentdentist and had to getmy tooth extracted. Now half a year later goes by and I receive a letter in the mail stating I owe $150 to kooning! False and disguisted by how impersonal this dentist office is. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends or family and have every right to report them.

Switched to Dr. Kooning after years with a different office- I love him! Very honest and gentle. He has not recommended any additional treatment that wasn't necessary. Staff is great!

This is a wonderful practice I was fortunate enough to discover in LO. Dr. Kooning, through his clear communication, and empathy, and great technical work, earn my highest recommendation. Additionally, I was very impressed by my cleaning as the dental hygienist's attention to detail and time spent was truly exceptional. During a follow up and crown placement, Dr. Kooning's team assured that I was comfortable, and they made every effort to communicate clearly. I highly recommend Dr. Kooning and his practice for its excellent support staff as well as his dental technicians and hygienists.

I recently switched to Dr. Kooning after being with my old dental office for over 15 years. I was so happy with my treatment! I was kindly welcomed when I walked in. The hygienist I had was kind, gentle and he explained everything he was doing. Dr. Kooning took the time to explain my treatment plan and answer all the questions I had. I'm very happy with my new dentist and his staff!

This was literally the best dental experience of my life! From the moment I walked in the door, the entire staff was understanding and sensitive to my needs. I have severe anxiety stemming from past dental experiences, and the staff here went out of their way to help me work through that! Dr Kooning and his staff all worked quickly and efficiently, getting me in and out in possibly world record times. He explained what he wanted to do and why, in a way that was easy to understand. I wholeheartedly recommend this dentist office, and doubt I will ever use another dentist myself!!
