The staff and dentists are terrific. Quality of care is very very good. This said, every time we come in we are first told we need dental X-rays (me, both daughters, and my mother; I make this statement based on approximately 12 total visits). The ADA recommendation is to evaluate and have X-rays based on that evaluation and the individual circumstances of the patient. The risks of ionizing radiation over a lifetime are real, and, less importantly, the out-of-pocket expenses for semi-annual dental care are substantial. This time, after stating that we don't like to have X-rays if not required based on the dentist's evaluation, we were told by the hygienist that we needed the X-rays because of several spots of decay that needed to be evaluated, a point on which I pushed back again because it was entirely incorrect; my daughter had no decay being followed. We are grateful for the terrific kindness and quality care we consistently receive, but would be grateful if the practice could modify its intake process to not include pushing for X-rays by default, and if the hygienists could make recommendations for care only after evaluating the patients and our records.

Being somewhat of a dental phobiac, I can say I am losing my fear after my decade of going to Konikoff Dental associates on Shore Drive. Dr. Dobson is the best dentist I have ever had and her hygienist Tana is the best at cleaning my teeth as well. All in all they are a great group.

I can't say how appreciative I am of Konikoff. It was my first time to this office and from the minute I walked in.. I was greeted with kindness and respect. The receptionist is was very kind and prompt. I met my dental hygienist, Tana and from the moment I voiced my concerns.. she helped me feel better and feel so reassured. My dentist Dr. Dobson was so kind and thorough. And finally when I checked out to discuss my treatment plan, I met Sheila and she was so understanding and helpful. I recommend this location to anyone. Thank you.

My dental hygienists name is Heidi. She was very thorough since I had a lot of plaque accumulated on my teeth. Heidi was very pleasant during the cleaning.

My follow-up appointment was for September 1st but the dentist canceled it the day before. This was an inconvenience to me, and if it'd been the other way around, I might have paid a penalty as a no-show. During my initial appointment, she informed me that she could adjust my oral device on the follow-up visit and provide me with some sort of plastic caps to go on the side of my appliance when I returned. When I returned on September 7th, I never received the plastic caps that she said she would have for me. She also didn't adjust my oral device, stating I needed to bring the tool for it. No mention was ever made in the initial visit that I needed to bring any tool--something I didn't have. I have been to a dentist who had this tool in their office for cases such as mine. I asked how much it would be to have a different appliance made but she stated she had no idea. How can you be a dentist advertising yourself as a sleep device office and have no clue as to the prices of the measly 2 appliances that you offer??????? I left the dentist's office feeling like I wasted my time, gas, and money ($150) seeing her, especially since I live way across town. I will never ever return to their dental office. They asked how they can improve their score. How can they improve their score? Refund my doggone money.

Dr. Joy Cocchiola and her gentleman assistant made my initial appointment at Konikoff an excellent experience. They are Professional without being robotic. Demonstrated exceptional subject knowledge without the usual superciliousness I've experienced with previous dental teams. They listened to me attentively and a dialogue was created between the three of us. I am very thankful for your help!

Awesome people! I have never had such great care from a Dentist Office like I have gotten from Konikoff Dental! I'm so very glad that my daughter recommended them.
