Dr. Komara was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He attended Ashland College on a football scholarship where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1977. Dr. Komara graduated from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He went on to complete his post-doctoral residency at Youngstown Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio from June 1981 - June 1982.
As a practicing dentist in Columbus, Ohio from 1981 - 1990, Dr. Komara was also a restorative dentistry clinical instructor at The Ohio State University. He continued his studies through continuing education courses designed to offer the latest and most effective dental care. Dr. Komara completed a 5 year program in the study of Orthodontics/Orthopedics in 1989 and is trained in Advanced Implant Prosthetics from the Misch International Implant Institute at Temple University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Komara moved to Florida in 1990 and has been in private practice in Dunedin, where he has been providing quality dental care in all phases of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He currently lives in Palm Harbor with his wife Lisa and their two children, Danielle and Ryan.
In addition to his extensive education, Dr. Komara is also treasurer of the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association, and a member of the West Coast, Florida, and American Dental Associations. He is a Legislative Contact Aid, has been on the Dental Peer Review Board for the past 10 years, and is on the finance committeewith his church.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Komara can be found on the Pinellas Trail training for a triathlon, or watching one of his teenage children's sporting events. He and his family love to snow, water ski, and are active members of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

Visited Komara Denistry e few months ago. Very underwhelming. For the price of 308.00 the periodontal portion of the visit was not up to par. She did a quick cleaning. I had better at Florida Dental Center. The proposal for doing a deep cleaning was double what I paid in the past and I didn't think it was even wArranted this time around. I went here due to their 5 star rating. In the end I think they are very over priced for the average care received. The office staff are nice enough. But not worth the overall price in my opinion.

Dr. Komara is an exceptional and excellent dentist. I was in need of an extensive mouth makeover and he has taken great care to restore my dental health and smile. He takes time to explain procedures and I can honestly say that I have never felt any pain while in his chair. The office staff, dental assistants and hygienists are always pleasant and helpful. It is a very professional office that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for top dental care. The best part is I can't stop smiling!

Had my first hygiene appointment there today and it was GREAT! Ms. Joan my hygienist was wonderful and showed me a new way to floss my areas that are hard to reach! The whole staff is so kind and know what they are talking about! 10/10 recommend

Dr. Komara is just the best. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Komara and his staff. We can count on every visit being consistently good. There is little or no waiting. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Dr. Komara is gentle, considerate, and works quickly. My husband, an oral surgeon, has the highest regard for Dr. Komara's skill.
