Born and raised in Sinton, Texas, Dr. Charles Kolb graduated from Sinton High School before continuing on to Abilene Christian University for his undergraduate degree. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas, and has practiced in Taft, Texassince 1970.
Dr. Kolb has been very active professionally at the local, state, and national levels. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, and is also a member of both the American and International College of Dentists. Dr. Kolb was the first dentist in the nation to receive the Mentor Award from the American Student Dental Association. He also received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Texas Dental School.
Dr. Kolb currently resides in Portland, Texas, with his wife, Sherry, who is the Past President of theAlliance to theTexas Dental Association. Both his children, Dr. Jonathan Kolb and Dr. LeAnn Kolb-Snody followed in their fathers footsteps to become dentists. Dr. Kolb is exceedingly proud that they have joined him in practice.
Dr. LeAnn, a native of Portland,TX, graduated from Texas A&M university with a degree in Biomedical Science and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston in 2002. After graduation, she returned to South Texas to practice dentistry with her family. LeAnn is a member of the Nueces Valley DistrictDentalSociety, Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. LeAnn and her husband Troy have 3 children. They keep busy with their children activities and enjoy spending time with family at their ranch.
Although my title says Business Manager, and I do like working in the financial end of our practice, what I really enjoy is visiting with and getting to know our patients. Each of them is so interesting, and I love hearing about their experiences, passions, and families. We develop real friendships and I look forward to their visits as a time to catch up on whats been happening in their lives. I handle all business-related activity for our Taft and Corpus Christi offices, including the accounts payable and our payroll.
My life is good, whether Im in the office or at home. I love to go dancing, am very active in my church and on the vestry, and spend as much time as I can with friends and family. I have three adult children and seven grandchildren who are the lights of my life.
In other words, I tend to be busy, whether here in the office or one my days off, when Im often helping at Immaculate Conception Church, going shopping, or playing volleyball or basketball. My husband Herman and I have been married for 20 years and we have two children away at college. We are also the proud owners of a Lab named Bello.
I find dentistry fascinating and love the challenges associated with it. Each day offers new things to learn, new patients we get to care for, and seeing established patients, too, so I come into the office looking forward to whats before us. Every day is different and that keeps us all on our toes, in a very good way. My duties involve getting our patients ready to be seen by our doctors, and charting patients medical histories, medications, and why they are visiting us. In doing so, I really get to know our patients and many become friends, which is another benefit of my work.
During my days off, youll find me spending a lot of time with my husband of 38 years. We share our lives with a wonderful dog who has been with us for 12 years, now. We also care for 12 cats, all spayed or neutered. I love gardening and taking camping trips. An interesting tidbit of information: I have a twin sister and yes, we do look alike!
I am proud to be a part of a team that changes patients lives in a positive way. Our team and doctors all work towards a common goal of providing the best dental care to our patients. Our patients will always walk into a caring and friendly environment.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 20 years. We have threewonderful boys. I am very proud of them. During the week after work, I am involved in a ladys bible study group. On the weekends, my husband and I enjoy going to the beach. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and keeping up with current events. During football season, I enjoy cheering for the New Orleans Saints.
Being a dental assistant helps me learn new things every day and fulfill our patients needs. This is very rewarding for me. My duties require me to seat our patients in the operatory, ready to be seen by the Doctor. I chart patients medical history, clean and sterilize instruments and answer questions our patients might have. I also assist the Doctor during treatment. I really enjoy meeting new patients and learning new procedures.
As a dental assistant, I work one-on-one with each patient to help improve their oral health and provide a comfortable dental experience. It is very gratifying to see the end results of a completed treatment, as well as the satisfaction of our patients with the care theyve received. One of the best parts of working here is that its truly a family atmosphere. Our doctors and team work very well together to meet our patients dental needs.

Called here to schedule an appointment but they didn't accept my specific insurance but they referred me to a dentist that does. After calling around place after place, I'm grateful the receptionist here was kind and polite enough to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

So far so good...I need extensive dental work. I was mildly surprised that the cost isn't as high as I thought. The dentist was patient and has a good chair side manner as it were. The dental assistant was helpful and listened to my accidents to myself in life. I was happy to have found this dentist. Would recommend them to everyone.

My daughter was a patient of Dr.Kolbs a few years back so when it was time for me to have dental work I decided to see the Kolb family as well..and that is what it feels like there...Family! Everyone there is so friendly and courteous . I highly recommend Kolb Dentestry. i am 100% satisfied and glad we made this choice.

BEST DENTAL OFFICE IN TOWN!! Kolb Dentistry saw me on an emergency basis when my regular dentist was out of town! They took me in immediately (despite not being a patient) and took care of my issue and my pain. They handled all the insurance problems that arose from the emergency care as well. Dr. Kolb's staff is SUPERB and he is simply the BEST!!! Needless to say, I switched care providers and KOLB DENTISTRY is my new home for all my dental needs!!

I'M 100% PLEASED WITH KOLB DENTISTRY INC!!! KOLB DENISTRY WAS SO EASY TO FIND, THE SERVICE WAS SUPERB , THE DENTIST & STAFF WE'RE ALL POLITE, HELPFUL, ATTENTIVE TO MY NEED'S !!! THE DENTIST DR.KOLB HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR,HE & HIS ASSISTANT MADE ME FEEL RIGHT AT HOME, HE & HIS ASSISTANT'S WE'RE PROMPT, THE DOCTOR REMOVED 3 OF MY TEETH!!! Dr. Kolb and all of his staff are very welcoming and friendly. I've been going here for years now and they always help me in any emergency situation I might have had. I recently took my daughter there to one of her first appointments and they showed her all of the tools and what they were used for, making sure she was comfortable the entire time. Definitely recommend!

i saw dr. kolb for a new patient exam with his hygenist michelle this morning. immediately upon entering the office i was welcomed into a warm atmosphere where everybody was smiling. i also noticed a lot of newer up to date equipment which tells me they care about staying current. ive had many painful dental cleanings in the past but michelle was very gentle as well as efficient. i would highly recommend this office, and dr. kolb's staff to everyone in corpus!
