Dr. Kaurs decision to pursue dentistry was spurred on by a traumatic event. When she was just ten years old, her grandparents were in a fatal car accident. The only one to survive was her grandmother, who suffered great injuries including a broken jaw.
Her grandmother was forced to have her jaw wired shut for over six months. The young Harveer watched helplessly as her grandmother couldnt eat and couldnt smile. Though she missed her grandmothers smile tremendously, it was watching her grandmother suffer which was hardest to take. This experiences ignited a passion for her to help others with their dental needs.
Its that passion along with the belief that her purpose is to imporve peoples lives that bring her to work each day with a positive attitude. She believes in conservative dentistry, which means saving as much tooth structure as possible. Shell never do an unnecessary extraction. Additionally, its important to her for her patients to make informed decisions about their teeth. Shell take as much time as necessary to explain what the issues are and all their options for a positive outcome.
Katie was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona. She comes from a family of seven siblings, with six of them being sisters. Katie went to Highland High School in Gilbert and graduated in 2000. She still lives in Gilbert with her husband of almost 9 years. Between the two of them, they have a family of three girls, with one of them also attending Highland High School.
Katie started in the dental field very shortly after graduation as a Sterile Technician and found her passion. She attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated with a diploma in dental assisting. She worked as a dental assistant for a few years before she was crossed trained in the front office and is now an office manager. If you ask Katie why she loves working in a dental field, she will tell you, She loves to assist patients in making them feel comfortable and knowing they are in good hands. Katies main goal is to see every patient leave with a confident smile.
Jannette was born in Morgan Hill, California, where she grew up with her three brothers. She and her family moved to Maricopa, Arizona where she lives now with her husband. Janette has been in the dental field for five years now, where it gives her great joy when patients gain the confidence they need to enjoy their smiles.
Jannette joined the Kokopelli Family in August of 2020 and she is very excited to grow her career. When Jannette is not at work, she and her husband love to take their RV to the sand dunes in California where she rides around in her Dune Buggy.
Barbara was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. Knowing that she wanted to be an orthodontist, she enrolled in South Mountain Community College. While enrolled she was able to earn two Associates Degrees. Barbara then received her diploma in Dental Assisting in hopes to earn enough money to pay for her Masters Degree.
Growing up in a family of five, Alma was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. She started in the dental field in 2008 as a dental assistant and moved her way to the front office. Alma has now found her place in the dental field as a treatment coordinator, and she feels that is the perfect fit for her. When not at work Alma enjoys all that Arizona has to offer with its amazing sunsets and sunrises. You can always find her enjoying the great outdoors with her husband and dogs.
Janet was born and raised in Mexico. She graduated dental school in 1998 from UAN, where she met her husband. Shortly after dental school, they married. A couple of years later they moved to Virginia and had a daughter. In 2001 her family opened a dental lab that operated until 2010 when they decided to move to Arizona.
When Janet is not at work she enjoys taking part in active sports like karate, kickboxing, tennis, and best of all skating. Though, she finds the most joy in spending time with family and values every second of life and health.
Maevonny (Mae) was born in Augusta, Georgia. When she was five years old, her family moved to Phoenix. Mae attended East Valley Institute of Technology and earned her certificate in Dental Assisting while at Desert Vista High School.
Maevonnys goal is to attend Mesa Community College to start her prerequisites in order to eventually transfer to a University for Dental Hygiene. Mae loves to help others and knows the dental field is the perfect way for her to accomplish that. When Mae is not at work and just wants to have fun and de-stress, you can find her running, listening to music, or even skydiving, which she does yearly.
Amanda is an Arizona native. Shes worked in the dental field since 2008 as both a dental assistant and a dental assisting instructor. However, Amanda prefers being a part of a clinical staff, where she can work directly with patients. She loves all things dental and proudly considers herself a Dental Nerd.
Melissa was born and raised in Arizona and takes great pride in being a member of the Ahwatukee community. She has three boys and a multitude of animals. Her compassion and understanding nature instantly put anxious patients at ease. She will never judge you or make you feel insecure about your dental health. Melissa is passionate about educating patients on their individual care, as well as and providing the best dental care. She is highly skilled and dispenses an energetic, fun-loving service to each patient. With multiple certifications and years of experience, Melissas patients receive the highest level of care. She regularly attends continuing education courses and seminars in order to stay up to date with the latest in dental technology and advances. In her free time, she enjoys participating in nerf gun wars with her boys, sewing outfits for her animals, and going to thrift stores to find vintage treasures.

I am new to the area and was very nervous seeking out a new dentist as embarrassingly, I am a dental phobic patient. Dr. Kaur and her staff, were incredibly patient with me, completely understood my fear and made me feel comfortable (yes comfortable) being in their office. My experience with Dr. Kaur and her assistant Amanda, was quite honestly the best dental experience I have ever had. I would highly recommend this office as the dental care matches the kindness of everyone I have had the chance to meet! Kokopelli, to your entire crew, I thank you!

The absolute best experience I've had in a dental office. Dr. Kaur and her team are second to none, and from the minute you walk in the door you can see why they have returning and loyal patients. A very patient first focused office and you can rest easy knowing they are putting your needs above all else. I needed some extensive work done after moving and changing insurances, and the team was so understanding and accommodating in getting me scheduled asap! Highly recommend Dr. Kaur and her team!

I love this place! They're so sweet and take lots of good care of you. I call the doctor (Dr. Kaur) and Terry (one of the hygienists) my "dentist moms" because of how sweet, gentle, and caring they are. I had to go back several times because I had so many dental issues, and they took off some of the cost as a result, which was so incredibly kind of them. Really helpful when I also called for more help. It feels like they just really, genuinely care for their patients (and this is coming from someone who had some pretty bad experiences with dentists before this)!! :) they also are very educational and helpful in explaining things. Really feels like you are like family to them because of how well they care for you! Thank you Dr. Kaur and friends!

Dr. Kaur is kind, compassionate, empathetic, and loves to deliver a top notch patient experience! As someone who has had some really bad dental experiences, I had anxiety the first few visits, but Dr. Kaur put my fears to rest and made my experience comfortable. Dr. Kaur is honest and trustworthy and doesn't sell patients services they don't need. Melissa is the best hygienist I've ever had! She also embodies the same kindness, compassion, and empathy as Dr. Kaur. She explains everything well, and anticipates the needs of her patients while delivering the best quality service. Knowing my appointment is scheduled with Melissa, I can relax since I'm in her experienced, compassionate care. Katie at the front desk works tirelessly behind the scenes to verify insurance coverage and patient responsibility while also delivering a warm and welcoming greeting to patients. The patient experience at Kokopelli helped tame my anxiety of going to the dentist. I'm always treated with respect and kindness.

I was terrified to have a much needed extraction. Dr. Kaur took the time to explain the procedure and put my nerves at ease with not only her empathy but also her confidence in explaining the details. Procedure was shockingly, completely painless. It was my teen daughters first appointment since moving to the area . She has always had a huge amount of anxiety with any dental visits, which made me drag my feet in getting her in. She needed a deep cleaning, and was just about ready run for the car....but- Dr Kaur and Kristine spent an incredible amount of time walking her slowly through the process, and assuring her they would stop at any time she could do no more more. We were there well over our appointment time, but the staff showed no urgency, only calmly walking us through the appointment. Amanda also assisted on some difficult x rays. The entire staff were so compassionate with my daughters entire appointment. Could not be more thankful that we found this office!

Amazing and such a sweet staff! Dr. Kaur and her team always make my visits so effortless and easy-going. As soon as I walk through the door I am always greeted with such warm welcomes.
