Dr. Lisa Kochis is a unique kind of orthodontist. Her warm, fun personality and focus on clinical excellence will help both children and adults truly enjoy their orthodontic experience. Dr. Kochis feels that it is her professional obligation to stay at the forefront in her specialty of orthodontics both with clinical and technological advancements.
Dr. Kochis earned her doctorate at the University of Oklahoma and completed her residency specializing in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Her continuing participation in advanced post-doctoral education ensures that every patients orthodontic treatment is held to the most exacting standards of modern care. Dr. Kochis even assists with education of the future pediatric dentistry residents at the University of Kentucky.
Yet, despite her clinical expertise, Dr. Kochis most compelling feature is something all too rare in todays rushed world: she takes the time to relate to every single patient. Children and adults all find that Dr. Kochis is able to make their individual care a top priority.
Dr. Kochis is a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Bluegrass Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Ryan Garbarino was born in New York but grew up in Coral Springs, FL where she attended the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and graduated Summa Cum Laude of her class. She then attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Ryan has now just finished obtaining her Master of Science from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry Orthodontic Residency.
She met her husband, Matt, while she was attending the University of Miami. They married two years ago in Raleigh, North Carolina, they have a chocolate Lab/Australian Shepherd mix named Clowey, and just welcomed their daughter, Elliot! During her free time, Dr. Ryan enjoys playing sports, watching movies, building 3D puzzles, and exploring new things with her husband, Matt.
Our friendly staff is eager to help your orthodontic visit be as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Each team member is highly trained and has advanced continuing education in their field. I text the Dr at 10:30 on a Saturday night with my child having a total meltdown and they immediately text me back with a new appointment to fix the problem that we were having! I will not take my child to any other dentist! They are awesome!

Everyone of the staff is amazing! I have a very dramatic 10 year old that can be some what challenging and they are very patient with him. They have also kept me updated 100% and explained everything very well so that not only I understand but also my son.

The experience I have had at Dr. Kochis office has been exceptional. I'd recommend anyone & their families. The staff is so kind and welcoming. I loved how during my exam every single one of my questions was answered. Can't wait to get started with my Invisalign!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Kochis & staff are great! They are all very patient, kind & personable! My daughter loves the fact that she can play video games out in the waiting room before she gets called back. I would highly recommend Kochis Orthodontics!
