Dr. Kristin Knierim was raised in Knoxville and is excited to be treating her hometown family and friends. Her late father, Dr. Rupert Knierim, was also an orthodontist and practiced in Fountain City for over 30 years. She graduated in 1990 from Knoxville Catholic High School. After graduation, she attended Emory University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and then continued on to attend the University of Tennessee and received her Doctor of Dental Science degree.

She maintains active memberships with the Second District Society, the Tennessee Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Southern Association of Orthodontics and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Knierim has published an article in the American Journal of Orthodontics, and she lectures at local schools. To keep up with the latest technology, Dr. Knierim attends continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Knierim married her husband, Scott, in May 2008. They live in Knoxville and have three children, two dogs and three horses. When she is not in her office creating beautiful smiles, she can be found outdoors, enjoying horseback riding, hiking, skiing or biking.

Dr. Monica Ginart grew up in Miami, Florida. She attended Cornell University and earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in all subjects in 2014, majoring in economics and minoring in biological sciences. She then went on to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine for her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Ginart completed her orthodontics residency training at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, obtaining a Master of Science. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Ginart loves creating beautiful smiles for her patients and is thrilled to become a part of the Knoxville community. She also lectures at local schools. Outside of orthodontics, she enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and traveling with her husband and college sweetheart, Chris. Once upon a time, she also dabbled in musical theater, dance, gymnastics and judo. The Ginart family welcomed a baby boy in early 2020.

Amanda has worked as a dental assistant since 1997, and she joined our team in 2020. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and our awesome team. Amanda has two children, Finlee and Beckett. When not at the office, she enjoys doing arts and crafts.

Andrea (Andi) has been a team member since 2018. She is a registered dental assistant and loves orthodontics. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and cheering on her husband, Chad, from the pit box during NASCAR Xfinity races. She has a German Shepherd named Harley and a cat named Jazmine. She and her family have worked the Souvlakia Greekfest booth every year for as long as she can remember. When asked why she chose the specialty of orthodontics versus other dental specialties, she stated she enjoys watching a smile in process.

Briana graduated from University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree. She joined our team as an administrative assistant in September 2020. Briana loves the welcoming, warm atmosphere of our office and getting to know our wonderful patients. She also enjoys being able to provide for our Latino community. Briana helps with daily office tasks, including insurance, and assists our Spanish-speaking patients.

Briana is originally from West Tennessee. She lives with her longtime boyfriend and college sweetheart, Alex, and their Greyhound, Draco. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading, playing sports and trying new things.

Courtney has been with our team since she began her dental assisting career. She graduated from TCAT in 2017. She is married and spends her spare time with her fur babies, Camper and Loretta. She loves music and anything outdoors, especially camping with her family. She enjoys the process of creating a beautiful smile through orthodontics.

Lee is the scheduling coordinator for Knoxville Orthodontics. She has been married to her husband, Paul, for over 30 years. They have three children, a daughter who lives in Kansas and a son and daughter who live in Washington state. She grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She was a dental assistant in Missouri before moving to Knoxville in 2016. They moved here for her husbands work, and she started working for Dr. Knierim in August of 2017. They have been renovating their 1941 home since they moved in. They enjoy downtown Knoxville and also enjoy exploring the nearby mountains and rivers.

RaAnn has worked in dentistry for over 30 years, and she became part of our team as a treatment coordinator in August 2020. She welcomes all new patients to our practice and works hard to make their visits as easy as possible. RaAnn enjoys working with her great coworkers and patients. She loves introducing patients to great dental care, and she cannot imagine a job she would love more.

RaAnn has been married to her husband, Rick, since 1987, and they have a son, Clay, who is a nurse at the University of Tennessee hospital. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, scrapbooking and watching University of Tennessee sports.

Reagan attended the Dental Staff School in Knoxville, and she joined our team as a dental assistant in May 2021. Her favorite part of being part of our practice is working with her friends and seeing people become happier with their smiles. Reagans family includes her parents and four sisters, and she enjoys hiking, fishing, playing with her dogs, Minnow and Nala, and hanging out with her family

Rhonda, our office manager, oversees all things financial. She has been in orthodontics for 33 years and maintains her licenses as a registered dental assistant and radiographer. Though originally from Cleveland, Tennessee, she moved to Knoxville with her husband and children in 2006. She and her husband, Ashley, have two married daughters and an adult son. They also have three dogs, two miniature schnauzers, Sam and Opie, and a Yorkshire terrier, Bitsy. In her spare time, she likes to bake, have movie and dinner dates with her husband and spoil her fur babies. Her favorite aspect of her job is witnessing patients experience a boost in self-esteem and seeing them leave with a smile.

Stephanie is our administrative coordinator! She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from East Tennessee State University. She enjoys being able to collaborate and work together with her fellow team members. Stephanie is an active birder, and in her free time, she enjoys traveling, crafting and photography.
