Smiling giraffe, cackling hyenas, and of course, the majestic African elephant were just a few of Dr. Junes childhood neighbors growing up in Kenyas coastal lowland of Mombasa. Dr. June was born in Mombasa and grew up a farmgirl near the Shimba Hills National Reserve, home to one of Earths last remaining coastal rainforests.
Raised by teachers who instilled the value of education, Dr. June left for the United States at age 19 to pursue her studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During college Dr. June worked as a dental assistant and nanny. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in biology.
After college, Dr. June earned her DMD at Georgia Regents University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia) and later pursued a specialty in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Junes residency specialized in oral health care for infants and children through adolescence. Her rotations at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta focused exclusively on medically compromised patients, including infants and children with cleft lip/palette and life-threatening illnesses. As Chief Resident in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. June founded a chapter of the Students United for American Tooth Fairy (SUAT).
Dr. June is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She is a passionate advocate for preventative dentistry techniques for children 0-5 years old with infant education programs for new parents, daycare providers and at pre-K and elementary schools.
Our kids dental office has the latest state-of-the-art equipment to make sure your child has access to everything he or she needs at their visits. We constantly evaluate our materials and keep current with new technologies to make sure you have the best options available.
We pride ourselves in practicing ethically and honestly, always taking the time to explain our findings. We always consider all appropriate treatment options and try to present the most conservative plans, when possible. It is important for us to be helpful to our patients and answer any questions you might have regarding your childs dental care.
Cell phones can be a tremendous distraction so we politely ask that you keep your cell phones off or in airplane mode. If you must take a call, we ask that you answer the phone outside the treatment and exam areas.
Pictures and camera phones are a great way to document your childs first dental experience. However, there are times when this activity may not be appropriate. Please be courteous to other patients, parents and team members, and ask before taking pictures or filming in our office.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. This includes deductibles and co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards. We also take Care Credit.
We know a visit to the dentist can be frightening for some children especially a first visit but we hope to avoid and conquer most dental fears. Sometimes it is normal for a child to cry at the dentist, especially if it is new experience. If this happens, please do not be disappointed in your child, yourself, or us we will simply respond with care and praise.
At your childs first visit, we will review your childs medical history. Please read your Welcome Letter and bring your child's completed Patient History, Financial Policy and Privacy Statement. We will examine your childs teeth and determine if x-rays and/or a cleaning is indicated. If any further treatment is necessary such as fillings or sealants, this will occur at a follow-up visit.
A pediatric dentist is a general dentist who has received an extra two years of training in school and at a childrens hospital residency. As a pediatric dentist, Dr. June is highly qualified to treat your childrens beautiful smiles. As a pediatric dental specialist, our practice is limited to infants, toddlers, adolescents as well as those with special healthcare needs.
Everyone at Knightsville Pediatric Dentistry uses a lot of positive reinforcement and child friendly descriptions to help your child feel at ease during their dental procedure. We make recommendations depending on the childs age, ability to cooperate, and amount of treatment needed. The treatments provided take the dental needs and behavioral aspects into consideration.

We loved Dr. June and her staff! We traveled almost 3 hours to see her for our baby's tongue tie release and it was well worth it. Dr.June was the best and baby is going great now.

After seeing and hearing nothing but good reviews, we tried to book an appointment with this office. Never mind the fact we have a newborn, and are trying to get a possible tongue tie looked at, the front office immediately starts spitting out costs of services. Fine and dandy, little weird but okay. We had to reschedule the appointment due to having a newborn and two other small children, again fine and dandy. We call the office to let them know we will be late to the appointment, and are met with a horrible attitude and an immediate "well that's gonna be a late charge" on top of all the other costs. To be in pediatrics and not understand the ins and outs of having kids especially a 5 Day old newborn, is off turning, then the rude attitude of the front office was the topping. We cancelled the appointment and will never give them our business.

Dr. June is absolutely fantastic, I can not say enough nice things about her and her office! She is so so kind and patient, even with my very anxious kiddo. The office is chalk full of stuffed animals and toys and decorated so cute, and very clean. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, even greeting my son with a big hug and I couldn't love that more! The office staff/assistants are probably the most friendly & kind group of people I've met in south Carolina yet, I'm so impressed!

When a child loves going to the dentist, you know you're at the right place! We take all four of ours there and they are without a doubt, THE BEST. Dr. June herself will get on the phone if you have a question or concern. Each and every staff member responds as if your child belongs to them. I can't say enough good things about this office and their services.

Took my daughter to the dentist for the first time ever. It was an overall great experience, the staff were all so sweet and engaging. Super informative and easy to talk to. Dr. June was so kind and did her best to keep my daughter happy. I loved it here and plan on using them for as long as I can. Well worth the drive for me.

Dr. June and her staff are so wonderful! The level of comfort my kids had during their visit was such a nice change! We were greeted and seen promptly for our new patient appointment. Dr. June and her whole staff were welcoming and friendly from beginning to end. They greeted us with smiles and my 4 kids all thoroughly enjoyed their experience. More than one of them asked when they could go back as soon as we walked out the door. The facility is beautiful and extremely kid friendly. Dr. June and her staff think of everything! The office is beautiful, calming, and welcoming. The staff is always smiling; they are efficient and sweet. My two boys, 10 & 8, have now been to see Dr June twice. Each visit was awesome. Everyone from check in, hygienist, X-rays to Dr were amazing. Professional, yet also so caring. They were happy to answer any of my questions as well as the boys! They are also a wealth of information about dental health (beyond your basics)! I would recommend Dr. June and her staff to anyone looking for a great pediatric dental experience.

If you're wanting to find a pediatric dental office that is clean, staffed with friendly people and treat your child like the precious gift they are, this is it. From the moment the staff first greets you and your child until the conclusion of the appointment, patient comfort is a priority. No assembly-line mentality here. They take their time and make sure the patient and parent are not rushed. A totally great experience. Highly recommend. All 4 kids go here and have not had any negative issues. Do your child a favor and at least give Dr. June and staff a try. Your child will thank you. It's been some time since originally posting this, but with 4 kids, I've been back several more times. Just as happy now as I was the first time. Quality from start to finish

It was such a pleasant visit! Everyone was very helpful and super nice. Dr. June and the staff were a pleasure to work with. The kids really enjoyed their time at the dentist and even told me that this is the best dentist office ever!

Dr. June and her staff provided a top tier experience. I felt like I was in great hands while under their care. My situation was rather unique but I felt safe and confident in her and her staff.
