Kentucky native Dr. L. Douglas Knight has been practicing orthodontics since 1995. After receiving his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Kentucky, he joined the Army Dental Corps, where he served for 7 years in several military assignments.

He practiced General Dentistry for seven years before attending a two-year orthodontic residency program at New York University, where he earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Knight has completed a one-year advanced education program in general dentistry and a comprehensive two-year clinical continuing education program in Occlusion and Orthodontics at the Roth Williams Center for Functional Occlusion.

Now a board-certified member of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Knight lectures frequently on topics such as skeletal anchorage plates and dentoalveolar distraction osteogenesis (DDO). He is a recipient of the Pacesetter Award from the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists (RWISO) and recently was named one of the nations top dentists by Woodward/White, a highly respected publishing firm.

Locally, Dr. Knight is active in The East End Study Club, Kentucky Orthodontic Association, and serves as an Elder at Beargrass Christian Church. He has been a member of the Radcliff Rotary for over twenty years. He and his wife, Donna, have two children, Connor and Kendall.

Ive always loved kids, whether my own, or the kindergarten kiddos that I taught at church. The best part of my twenty years at Knight Orthodontics has been the relationships Ive developed with the families, kids and parents alike. When they come here for straight teeth and an awesome bite, they not only leave with a beautiful smile, but also a new friend. In my free time I enjoy ballooning and boating with my husband.

I have worked at Knight Orthodontics for over 25 years helping our patients with their insuranceand financial needs. Away from the office, I enjoy experiencing new restaurants, family trips with the kids, spending time outdoors, and following the Kentucky Wildcats.

I have been in the orthodontic field for 9 years and have worked for Dr. Knight for 6 years. I am the records tech, lab tech, and 3D printing wizard. While not at work, I love to spend time with my 3 children and going to the gym.

I am a Kentucky native and live in Louisville with my husband and our golden retriever. Ive had the pleasure of working in orthodontics for the past 3 years. I love to make people laugh and feel at ease, and I most enjoy working with children and caring for patients with special needs. My primary interest is in complex and surgical treatment cases, and I plan to further my education in the dental field. Outside of the office, I can usually be found outdoors hiking and traveling as much as possible!
