Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Jeffrey Kleinheinz, also known as Dr. K, now enjoys living in Charlotte, North Carolina with his family and treating patients at Kleinheinz Dentistry. The devoted Packers fan, married his high school sweetheart, Patti, and is a father to three sons.
Dr. Kleinheinz went to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where he was a walk-on quarterback, while studying biology.He later attended Marquette University School of Dentistry where he graduated cum laude and was ranked seventh in his class. Dr. Kleinheinz was also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society.
Dr. Kleinheinz knows the importance of learning and continues to stay educated when it comes to keeping up with the latest treatment options for his patients. Dr. Kleinheinz participates in many continuing education classes and even completed another residency in 2011 focusing on dental implants. Currently, Dr. Kleinheinz is a member oftheAmerican Dental Association,NC Dental SocietyandCharlotte Dental Societyand is a preferred provider of Invisalign.
In his spare time, Dr. Kleinheinz enjoys riding his bicycle, participates in management study clubs, and is active at St. Matthews Church where he is a third degree knight in the Knight of Chambers. He also donates his time and talent to the Mission of Mercy Clinic which services the underprivileged residents in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Katrina Ashlin is a Charlotte native with a passion for serving patients in her hometown community. After attending Charlotte Catholic High School (go Cougars!), Dr. Ashlin graduated from Davidson College with Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude distinctions.
Dr. Ashlin earned her D.D.S. from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry (ranked the #2 dental school in the world!). In dental school, Dr. Ashlin served as the President of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association and won the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, allowing her to create a project to improve oral health for the underserved Special Needs population.
Valuing the importance of life-long learning, Dr. Ashlin stays up to date on advances in dentistry. She loves practicing dentistry as it allows her to combine her passion for science, art, and relationships. Dr. Ashlin enjoys partnering with her patients to create healthy, beautiful smiles. Currently, Dr. Ashlin is a member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, and Charlotte Dental Society.
As a former ballerina, Dr. Ashlin enjoys dancing and staying active. She enjoys reading, the performing arts, and spending time outdoors with her family and dogs. She is an active member at St. Gabriels Church and enjoys volunteering for the Missions of Mercy Clinic which serves the underprivileged residents in Charlotte, NC.
Lisa enjoys two roles in our practice she serves as both the Office Manager and Lead Hygienist. She graduated from Alleghany College in 2001 before relocating to Charlotte in 2008. Lisa has two fur children (Pitbull dogs) who love to snuggle. When not laughing with our patients at the office, Lisa works as a personal trainer helping clients lead healthy lives.
Amanda graduated from Central Piedmont Community Colleges dental assisting program. She has dreamed of working in the dental field since she was in middle school! She loves working with our digital technology and is an expert scanner. Amanda is also passionate about her family. She and her husband have their hands full with young twin boys!
Amber, one of our fabulous dental assistants, graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community Colleges dental assisting program. She most enjoys the relationships shes formed throughout her dental journey. She is especially creative and has a talent for forming quick friendships. Amber lives in a small town 30 minutes from Charlotte. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two boys.
Lauren graduated from The Dental Assistant Academy of Charlotte before joining our team as a fabulous dental assistant. Lauren has a gentle manner and enjoys helping patients feel at ease in the office and helping them achieve their dream smile. After growing up in Ohio, Lauren moved to Charlotte with her family in 2012. She is one of five kids and loves being a part of a large family. Lauren and her husband welcomed their first child into the world in January of 2021. Lauren also enjoys cooking and watching movies with her family.
Heather is one of our dental hygienists. She was born and raised in Long Island, New York but has lived in the Charlotte area for the past 10 years. She graduated from the Central Piedmont Community College dental hygiene program and enjoys educating and encouraging her patients with their oral health. When she is not working she enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her pets.
Jessi graduated from Central Piedmont Community Colleges dental hygiene program before joining our team as a dental hygienist. She is originally from South Florida, but she has lived in Charlotte since 2005. She loves to educate her patients on the importance of maintaining good oral health to help improve overall health. In her spare time she loves spending time out doors with her husband, two kids, and dog Cody.

Dr. Kleinheinz isn't just a great dentist, he's a good listener and communicator who understands and treats accordingly to what you need (not 'what can we sell you'). As a child my front teeth got knocked, and its been challenging to keep my smile. Dr. Kleinheinz layed-out a restoration plan that will hopefully last a good long while into the future.

I have been a patient of Dr Kleinheinz for about 24 years and I can't imagine going to another dentist as I don't believe I could ever find a better dentist! He is gentle, kind, nice, compassionate and a highly skilled dentist!!

Wow!!! I can't begin to tell anyone how wonderful this entire experience has been for me...a new patient and feel like I won't go anywhere else...EVER!!! Just had another wonderful experience with the folks at Kleinheinz Dentistry. Been going to Kleinheinz for years and they never disappoint. For many, going to the dentist is like "pulling teeth"...(pardon the pun)...but the atmosphere at Kleinheinz is always so relaxing and the entire staff goes above and beyond to provide a relaxing experience. They truly make you forget where you are and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Hats off to all the folks at Kleinheinz....happy chewing!!!

I have gotten many crowns over the last 48 years from three other dentists. Dr. Ashlin said my tooth was cracked under a huge old filling. She said I needed a crown. I procrastinated for a year because the tooth did not hurt. As all of us know, it is a lengthy, very painful procedure. My jaw surgery 40 years ago has made it very difficult to open my moth for extended periods of time. Dr. Ashlin was patient and asked me frequently if I needed a break and told me to raise my hand at any time and she would stop. She did a fantastic job numbing the area, she worked very efficiently and the new way of doing crowns in one sitting was so easy. Usually I am sore for days. I even planned a soft dinner. Last night I forgot I even had the procedure. I was just so amazed at the painless, quick and positive experience.

I've been a patient of Kleinheinz Dentistry for about about 15 years. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. They take the time to get to know you. They make you feel like you're part of their family! Dr. K and his staff are professional, thorough and caring. I highly recommend this practice- plus- they moved to brand new beautiful office about a year ago!

This is the best dental office I've ever been to. They have the most state-of-the-art technology and the friendliest staff! The hygienists were so gentle and my cleanings were very thorough. I arrived early morning at Kleinheinz Dentistry. I wasn't thrilled about being up and out so early. I walked in Dr. Kleinheinz's office and Jennie and Lauren welcomed me like I was family. It made me feel so good and relaxed. Great, great customer service. Then Heather, my hygienist greeted me as if I was the most important person to her. This is why I have been with this practice for over 15 years. Amanda was friendly to me as well. Kleinheinz Dentistry is truly the best and I would put them as number one in Dentistry. Dr. Kleinheinz is truly one of a kind!!! He always takes the time to say hi and see how I'm doing even if he is not doing my exam. I arrive and leave happy EVERY time.

6 month checkup found a tiny discoloration on a tooth. Bummed me out. Went in for early fix. Everything went smoothly. Glad they caught early. Get your 6 month check ups.

I chose Dr. Jeffrey Kleinheinz as my dentist many years ago after relocating to Charlotte, NC. I came from a small town where doctors know your history and are aware of the fears and apprehensions of medical procedures and thus acquire a different type of patience and caring. Recently, I had to have a problem tooth extracted and was more than apprehensive from my old school perception of what was going to happen. Dr. Kleinheinz was amazing and guided me through the procedure with patience, caring, and expertise. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and the painful recovery that I dreaded never happened. I am not only grateful that he is my dentist, you will never find a more dedicated and caring staff. They make you feel like family.

Feels like a family. I am a new patient and was referred to Kleinheinz Dentistry by a friend. I immediately felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. Dr.Ashlin is great, easy to talk to and takes time to explain things. Honestly the entire vibe and environment of the office is what has made me decide to make this my permanent dentistry.
