Dr. Neal A. Klar started practicing orthodontics in 2000. He is a graduate of the University of Miami, the Medical College of Virginias School of Dentistry, and the University of Detroit Mercy, where he received his orthodontic certificate and Master of Science degree.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Virginia Association of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Marni Voorhees Husson began practicing orthodontics in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2000 and has been in Virginia Beach since 2002. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginias School of Dentistry and the University of Alabama, where she received her orthodontic certificate and Master of Science degree.
Dr. Voorhees Husson is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Virginia Association of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Patrick Holmes is originally from upstate New York, but has called the Southeast his home since 2005. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Holmes received his dental degree from the VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond. While in dental school, his passion for orthodontics led him to pursue an orthodontic fellowship at the University of Florida followed by a three-year orthodontic residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Virginia Association of Orthodontics and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Holmes enjoys treating both pediatric and adult patients. He has published several articles, and is the current president of the Virginia Beach Dental Study Club. Dr. Holmes loves bringing the latest and greatest in orthodontic technology to his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Holmes and his wife Dr. Ashley Holmes enjoy tennis, golf, skiing, cooking, photography, and being out on the water. Together with their sons Hudson and Harrison, as well as their two boxers, they could not be happier to call Virginia Beach their home.
Dr. Sarah Pavon Groy grew up in Virginia Beach, and is thrilled to call Tidewater home again!She graduated from Cape Henry Collegiate School and attended the College of William and Mary for her undergraduate studies. After completing her dental education at Temple University in 2011, she attended the University of Maryland, where she was chief resident. There, she specialized in orthodontics and earned her Masters degree in Biomedical Science. She is trained in the latest orthodontic techniques including temporary anchorage devices, laser dentistry, and Invisalign. Dr. Sarah is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Sarah and her husband Dr. Dave Groy have threebeautiful children under the age of 5 who keep them very busy at home.They love living near the beach and can be found most weekends with their family somewhere by the water.

Ashley did an amazing job with my daughter. She made her feel as if they were friends and helped her with being more positive about having braces. Ashley gave us all the tools to be successful. She also mentioned places to restock the supplies that were cost friendly.

Everything was very efficient. Staff was great explaining what we'd be looking at doing. Dr. Klar was very kind & made us feel at ease. My daughter is super excited to get her braces next month. Thank you so much!

So for my most recent visit, I was helped by Sherry and Dr. Patrick. As normal, the atmosphere was happy and friendly, the music superb, and the the process efficient. But as nice as that all is, what really sets this orthodontist apart is how much they care about their patients. They're easy to confide in, and do everything within their power to make their patient comfortable and relaxed about their teeth. They're happy to answer any question, too, and as a very curious person, I appreciate that. Totally recommend this place for anyone looking for an orthodontist in VA beach, and I look forward to seeing the team again!

My 16 year old son just got his Braces removed after a year and a half. I don't think we could have found a better orthodontist practice. They were so sweet, if you ever had an issue which was maybe twice, they saw him right away to fix the problem. No questions asked. I would highly highly recommend this practice

My son doesn't have braces yet, but we have had two visits to this office on a referral from our dentist. Both visits were excellent, but this past visit was down right enjoyable! Dr. Sarah and the staff were fun and set my son's nerves at ease. I highly recommend!

So thankful for this amazing team at Klar Voorhees Holmes Orthodontics. This was my second time having braces and it was the best experience. The entire staff is so friendly, I feel like I've become part of their family. I highly recommend them, and Dr. Sara Groy so much that my Nephew is now going to Dr. Sara.

I am so thankful Dr. Sarah Groy entered our lives. My son has been through a lot with his teeth in his short 11 years, and I was worried that orthodontic treatment would solidify his negative relationship with dental professionals. Quite to the contrary, my son loves Dr. Groy, and looks forward to his visits with her. I knew I loved her from the moment she started her first sentence in his consultation with "If it were my child..." She's going to do what's necessary, but never "over treat." I can't recommend her enough.

The staff messed up our appointment, however, they call back on the day appointment and offer to make some alter. This is how a good business solve a problem with customer/client. (I used to work in the service business, this was what I did when a staff offended a client/guess. They should have give email confirmation to avoid wrong date appointment.) The staff could improve their tone of voice on the phone when speaking with client. Through the phone, we can't see each other face expression, people rely on how helpful and friendly the staff tone of voice and the way answering questions. This vital to the first impression to clients/customers to build trust in the beginning. It's normal psychological. When I found out the appointment in the wrong date + the way the staff answering my questions, I wanted to cancel the appointment and find another trustable place. However, when another lady called back and willing to work it out, it helped me feel a little better. About Dr. Klar, she is friendly and spent appropriate amount of time to explain and answering. She also care for what is best for my sons over business. It helps build more trust in me. The only thing I didn't like it that The only thing I didn't like with the experience is that I hope they will sensitive to others' feelings avoid labeling others' conditions without.
