This morning when I came for my appointment I never new that I had some liability to honor. When the front desk to me about it and my procedure should not go on I was so mad because I never new about and I also said to Jewel that the Doctors office should have told me what the insurance is honoring and what I should pay. Jewel spoke to me so calm that at the end I appreciated her the way she handles the whole situation

My teenage (college student) daughter saw Dr James Appiah (oral surgeon ) for teeth extractions here. He was pleasant knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained the plan of care in detail. He made her feel very comfortable and she was very pleased at his nonjudgmental attitude as she needs a comprehensive dental plan for many serious dental problems. I would highly recommend him if you need oral surgery!

UPDATE: if you report this to BBB, ADA, and your insurance, anything that they over charge you can be refunded. My insurance has able to get the extra charges refunded to me. ADA was great at facilitating everything for me and even adviced me on how I could take them to court if I needed to as well. The front desk staff is a nightmare to deal with. I have been dealing with rudeness and unprofessionalism for the last month. I have been hung up on because the lady didn't like me calling to cancel an appointment. Then when I called back no one picked up and it went straight to voicemail. Anytime I call to speak with the billing department I have been told they will call me back but 1 month later and no one still has called me back. I had gone into the office to get my invoice paperwork and again the front desk lady had a problem with me for that. She had an attitude and demanded who told me to come in. When I called them out on their lack of communication and inability to get my account straighten out, I was told they are short staffed. Which doesn't make sense when you are not short staffed to overcharge the patient and then still bill the same amount to the insurance company and cash out both times. Real kicker is that they aren't even taking the calls from my insurance company either. Initially, the payment/billing account issue was a concern at their other branches. But I guess being one entity it didn't take long for it to become an issue at this location. Overall, I would say my experience has been the same as others who are complaining about their account and being billed inaccurately. I would say if you were someone who has had issues with your account, create a formal complaint with the ADA and your insurance company. If it's reported enough times, the insurance company and ADA can hold the office accountable. Overall, they only are in the business to con you into paying extra and pocketing money from you and the insurance company. Best form of double dipping.

The team at the KK dental is professional, polite and caring. I always felt welcome and expected. No one likes dentists, but this office makes you want to come back. The procedures are done quickly and always pain free. Highly recommended!
