For over 25 years, Dr. Parris J. Kitt has strived to make it as easy as possible for local families to get the smiles they deserve. In addition to his compassionate approach, he also provides a wide range of services for patients of all ages, meaning you, your children, and even your parents can get everything you need in our state-of-the-art dental office.

When it comes down to it, Dr. Kitt kind of wondered his way into the dental field. He graduated from Baylor University with a business degree and went to work in banking as an analyst. However, he only lasted for about 18 months before coming to the realization that he was in the wrong field. So back to Baylor he went, where he pursued a Masters in Exercise Physiology while completing his premed prerequisites. At the time, he thought he might want to become an orthopedic surgeon, but after a week of shadowing at a hospital, he knew that job and its utter lack of free time wasnt for him either.

Dr. Kitt first became introduced to the possibility of an oral healthcare career when Amies (his then-girlfriend and present-day wife) parents introduced him to two friends of theirs who worked as dentists. They encouraged him to look into the work further, and once he did, he realized that it was a great fit for his strengths and interests. Hed always loved the idea of working with his hands, indulging his meticulous side, experimenting with artistry, and having the ability to be his own boss. And here he still is, decades later!

Dr. Kitt pursued his dental doctorate at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the US Naval Dental Center in Norfolk, VA. He then served as a dentist in the US Navy for three years before settling into private practice. To this day, he regularly pursues continuing education in order to keep his clinical skillset sharp and up to date. This includes time spent at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute, as well as 100+ hours of advanced training through Gerety Orthodontic Seminars. He is currently a member of the following organizations:

Dr. Kitt has a wonderful, beautiful family that is truly his greatest blessing on earth. It all started with his best friend and amazing wife of 30+ years, Amie. Together, they have three incredible children. Their oldest son recently graduated from Western Colorado University, where he was on the winter sports team as a competitive snowboarder. He continues to live his outdoor dreams in Colorado to this day. Their middle son is an honors student at Texas Tech, majoring in construction engineering and serving in leadership with his fraternity and a Christian organization on campus as well. Finally, their daughter is also attending Texas Tech, serving as the captain of their equestrian team.

When he isnt busy at work, Dr. Kitt really enjoys riding/rebuilding Harley motorcycles. Hes currently working on a rebuild of a 2001 Harley Davison Sportster into a custom chopper! He also spends a good amount of time as an avid photographer on the fine art side. His most recent photo project involved a series centered around longhorn cattle and rodeos, which he worked on for about four years. As of late, hes begun to focus on finding interesting angles of flowers. Hes always up for riding his bicycle and drinking a really good cup of coffee too.

Amie was raised in Palestine out in East Texas. She earned her Masters in Speech Pathology from Baylor, and she practiced for 10 years before deciding to take time off to raise her family. Eventually, she chose to work with her husband, Dr. Kitt, as his dental office manager, and their tried-and-true partnership keeps our dental office running smoothly. She spends most of her days presenting treatment plans and helping patients navigate their personal and financial needs in relation to future care. She really enjoys simply listening to people and paying attention to details after all, youre dealing with a whole person, not just a smile!

Amie and Dr. Kitt have three grown children together. Their oldest son lives in Colorado, while their middle son is studying engineering at Texas Tech. Their daughter is also at the same college, pursuing animal science and riding competitively on the equestrian team. Theyre currently enjoying their empty nest along with their two dogs Mike and Cooper. As for personal hobbies, she likes to walk with friends, ride mountain bikes in Faulkner Park, and explore East Texas with her husband on his motorcycle.

A Tyler native, Samantha has been working in the dental world for nearly two full decades so far. She studied at Tyler Junior College and the University of Texas at Tyler. Today, what she likes most about her job is getting to interact with such wonderful patients while helping them navigate their insurance concerns and questions.

Sarah joined our team in July of 2020, but she has over 15 years of experience in the dental world overall! She studied at the UT Health School of Dentistry at Houston, and she also has advanced training in laser dentistry. What she likes most about being a dental hygienist is getting to build relationships with the patients and helping them understand the lifelong importance of oral health.

Originally from Tyler, Sarah married her amazing husband Jason in 2013, and theyve been blessed with two beautiful children named Maverick and Andelize. As a family, they enjoy playing together outdoors, traveling, and hanging out at home. As for personal hobbies, shes a BIG football fan (especially Baylor football) and a Astros fan, attending games whenever possible. She also enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and going on mission trips to help her community on both a local and global scale. In the past, shes traveled to Venezuela, Honduras, Panama, Guatemala, and Belize almost a whole years worth of time!

Julie is from Savannah, GA and studied at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Today, shes been a part of the dental world for well over a decade so far! For her, the best part of this job by far is getting to teach patients all about how their oral health is linked to their total body health.

At home, Julie has two teenage sons. The younger one plays soccer, and both participate in marching band. As for her own personal hobbies, she enjoys doing pretty much anything related to water or the outdoors, attending concerts/sporting events, doing yard work and home improvement projects, diving into a good book or movie, dancing, and traveling. Interestingly enough, shes actually worked with astronauts before for Lockheed Martin, a NASA contractor!

Cassie has been working in the dental field for nearly 10 years, and she loves having a new, wonderful work family here at Kitt Dental! Originally from Bullard, she studied assisting at Tyler Junior College. Today, our patients definitely enjoy her warm personality.

At home, Cassie has two wonderful kids named Carter and Camdyn. As for personal hobbies, you can often find her traveling, listening to live music, enjoying the outdoors, or (of course) spending quality time with her loved ones.
