Megan is a Colorado native but has traveled around a lot. She started out in dentistry as a volunteer dental assistant on Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. When shes not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter Susie, going hiking, antiquing, and doing house projects.
Lisa has worked in dentistry for over 12 years. As a dental hygienist she takes pride in providing excellent patient care by keeping her patients informed and prioritizing patient comfort. In her free time she likes to spend time with family and friends, collect plants, travel, and try out new and exciting foods, she considers herself a foodie at heart.
Jen is a hard worker and takes great pride in all that she does. Jen moved to Colorado in 2017 from Belvidere, IL with her husband and 2 children, Luis and Jaliya. She is a huge Chicago Bears fan! In her free time, she enjoys photography, and spending time with her children and dog Desmond.
Amelia was born and raised in Alaska and moved to Colorado in 2019 with her sister. In her spare time Amelia enjoys baking and sharing them with the office. She also enjoys reading and watching sports and practicing MMA. Amelia has a dog named Deno living in Alaska with her parents.
Taylor was born in California, but raised in Colorado for the majority of her life where she considers the mountains to be her home. She loves having the opportunity to work in the medical field. Outside of work, Taylor loves to be on constant adventures with either her dog
Kimberly has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2012 and loves working in the dental field! She is originally from Texas and moved to Colorado in 2014. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and son, traveling, camping, going to concerts and hiking with her dogs Yeti and Maverick.
Katie was born and raised in small town Iowa and moved to Colorado Springs in 2021. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in business marketing. In her free time she likes to hike, cook spicy foods, spend time with her friends, and thrift shop.
Pete is a Colorado native. Being in dentistry since 2009, it has allowed Pete time to master all aspects of running a successful, patient centric clinic. During his free time, Pete likes to take in all that Colorado has to offer from all of its great outdoors to trying the latest restaurants with his family and friends.
Beautiful baby girl, Henley Jeanine Boals, arrived 8 weeks early. She was born on Sunday, October 24th 2021 at 4:19 pm 3 lbs 8 oz 16 in long. You may see her from time to time in the office bringing joy to all with her adorable coos and smiles.
Mila is a Catahoula Leopard/Aussie mix. She was found on the street in Tennessee. Dr. Boals adopted Mila in Illinois. She is a sweet girl who loves to talk. With the softest fur, if you ever see here, make sure to give her a pet! Mila loves hiking/fishing with her family and rolling in the snow.
Rey is a Catahoula Leopard/Hound mix. She was born in Louisiana and then Dr. Boals adopted her in Colorado Springs. She is a wild pup who loves snuggling! Rey loves playing with her sister Mila, as well as going on hiking/fishing adventures.

I needed a temporary crown replaced after I cracked it. I called and got an appointment on the day and time I needed. I got here an hour early, yet I was seen immediately. Jackie made me a new temporary crown and took the time necessary to make it perfect. The dentists and staff are awesome. We are so thankful that we found the perfect dentist for us.

I have never been excited to visit a dentist office as it's been my most feared doctor to go to until today when I found the right office and the best dentist office I've ever visited here at Kissing Camels Family Dentistry. Just from my first visit here they took the time to listen to my concerns about what was going on with my mouth and addressed it so fast and gave me options on what to do next instead of giving me excuses like I've gotten from my 3 previous dentists. I've only seen Doctor Effinger, and he was absolutely outstanding. I really look forward to my future visits with this office to get the answers I've been waiting for so long to address my mouth problems. If your looking for a great doctors give this office a visit because they are mind blowing how good they are. My first visit I will never forget. Every single staff member was so nice, welcoming, and willing to share the knowledge of what's going on.

I called Kissing Camels Family Dentistry this morning because I had a broken molar and was causing me pain. They were able to get me in within a few hours and I have to tell you, everyone in the office and dental staff were absolutely wonderful and caring to my situation. I've had teeth issues my entire life and really hate going to the dentist. They made me feel very welcome and comfortable and my procedure was painless. Thank you very much Kissing Camls Family Dentistry for treating me like family!

I absolutely love kissing camels dentistry everyone there is very professional and very informational. I love going there and geting my botox my filler and get my teeth cleaned all in one place. this is one of the best dentistries I've been to in a long time. Doctor Johnson is absolutely wonderful she takes time to explain procedures and the benefits. I love the way that she handled my introduction to botox. I highly recommend kissing camels dentistry if you're new to town.

I took my adult handicap child to this dentistry in need of sleep dentistry and all of her special issues. I couldn't give this office enough stars they treated my daughter very well unlike our previous experience. The anesthesiologist was extremely compassionate and empathetic. The dentist was equally as good. The office staff is very hospitable. If you have a special-needs adult child that needs compassionate care I highly recommend this office. The most incredible dentist office! I traveled from Texas to Colorado for my sons wedding. On the way my temporary teeth retainer broke leaving me toothless for wedding pictures. I called them and they got me in that afternoon and had me a new retainer made within an hour! Thank you to the sweetest most caring dentist office ever!

I had a great first visit at Kissing Camels Family Dentistry today. I want to thank Lisa, the hygienist that I saw. I appreciated how knowledgeable, informative, and thorough she was. I know that I received excellent care at my visit. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, and I was very impressed at how clean and state of the art the entire office was. It is very apparent that the practice truly cares about the patient, and most of all the patient experience. Thank you to the entire team.

12 Oct 2022 Once again an excellent experience (at a Dental Office!!!!). Today was a tooth extraction and a bone graph (preparation for a dental implant). Everything explained; I was made comfortable, and the process was pain free (a favorite for me). What can I say, "I love these guys". (Dec 2021) Well, I've been back seveal times; Deep cleaning and subsequent follow-up cleanings (Megan my hygienist) and I must say: "I have never in my 60+ years of visiting "The Dentist" been comfortable, --- Until Now ---". Somehow they have managed to present an atmosphere/practice/activity that puts you at ease. In the simplest of terms, I am happy/pleased with all aspects of their practice. (April 2021) Too bad I cannot double 5 to 10. This "Team" of professionals are wonderful; communication is fluid between them; not only are they knowledgeable, but efficient. You are the most important person alive while there. If you want the best, this is where you need to be!
