I'd previously gotten a consultation with Dr. Herman who took x-rays as part of the evaluation and told me he could help me. Unfortunately I didn't follow through because this was right before the pandemic. I decided to try Kirkpatrick and Lai because the reviews were very good, however I did not have a good experience here. With no x-ray the dentist proceeded to tell me that to get the results I wanted I would need to get surgery. I repeatedly explained to him that because of my wisdom teeth coming in my teeth had moved since the last time I had braces and that, while it would have been a relatively small adjustment in comparison to what people normally get, I simply wanted them adjusted to how they looked before. He acted like the only solution was wired braces (not the consultation I received from Dr. Herman who recommended Invisalign) and tried to tell me that Invisalign could only fix alignment and crowding, however I can google Invisalign and gummy smile and read that they can achieve upward force with Invisalign just like they can with wired braces. I know my teeth. I know my smile. I've had braces before. I felt like I was having my teeth mansplained to me. He would not listen to me, and was very clearly wrong about some of the things he said. It was a complete waste of time. It's hard to take time off work and I was so excited to finally fix this issue that has been bothering me for YEARS. Incredible disappointment. Was basically told that they couldn't do anything but surgery. Absolutely ridiculous. It's probably for the best because it doesn't seem like being treated by this dentist would have been helpful or good for me. I have already made an appointment with Dr. Herman and will be going with them to fix my smile.

Very skilled orthodontics dentists! Dr Lai mostly did my braces and he did an awesome job!! However, the dental assistant didn't do a good job to clean the glue after my braces are off. Big chunks of glue were still stuck on my teeth for several months. I thought it was calcium on teeth at first, until my hygienist informed me that it was glue

My Girl Friend had an 8am appointment this morning 7/8/22 when they open. And Dr. Douglas A Kirkpatrick had my Lady sitting for 45mins and Assisted 4 patients before her. Idk if he has something against Black people but allowing 4 white patients to be helped first and not give the same conversational customer service to my lady as he did to the others is completely UNACCEPTABLE. He said "next" and said Bye to the others is completely unprofessional. Why are you in the business of helping PEOPLE if you don't treat people with the same customer service. Why make an appointment if you going to sit 45mins? UNACCEPTABLE & UNPROFESSIONAL.

Dr. Kirkpatrick and Lai did my braces 15 plus years ago and they did my sons braces. They are wonderful, the staff is so patient and kind. Hands down the best!

Just got my braces off and am amazed at the results! Dr. Joe Lai and Dr. Doug Kirkpatrick provided great oversight throughout having my braces on for about a year and a half- All I can say is that everything was worth it!

Dr. Joe and Dr. Doug are amazing as well as their entire office staff. Kind, caring, compassionate... They truly care about each of their patients. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Myself and my 3 children have all been patients of Drs Kirkpatrick and Lai. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about our experience. We have always been treated with kindness and received exceptional care! Amazing results and super efficient appointments, they respect their patients time.
