Dr. Munson is a native of the Pacific Northwest and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University. After completing a residency at Brigham and Womens Hospital and Fellowship at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, he earned a certificate in Endodontics from the University of Washington School of Dentistry.

Dr. Munson has practiced full-time Endodontics in Kirkland since 1991 and was selected one of Americas Top Dentists by the Consumers Research Council of America. He has also been voted among top Dentists by his professional peers in the field of Endodontics as reported by Seattle Met Magazine for many years running. He has been Clinical Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Washington since 1991, and served as former Chairman, department of Dentistry for Evergreen Hospital Medical Center. He is a member in good standing of the American Association of Endodontists as well as the American Dental Association.

Dr. Munson is married with two sons and enjoys traveling with his family. His hobbies include hiking, biking, skiing, photography, astronomy and drumming. He and his wife are outdoor enthusiasts whose adventures have taken them to the summit of Yosemites Half Dome and Californias Mt Whitney as well as hiking The Grand Canyon.

This was my first trip to this office. I was so nervous when I got there but the staff was amazing and welcomed me. They took me to my room and then the doctor came in(Dr Munson)I got so nervous again but he took the time to explain the procedure, which made me more comfortable. And boy let me tell you he can give good shots. I never even felt him give me the shots(and 1 was in the roof of my mouth). So I have to give kudos and I would definitely go back here again.Sherri R. Dr. Tom Rude joined our endodontic practice in 1998. He is a native of the Tri-Cities area of Washington State. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington Dental School in 1994.

Following dental school, Dr. Rude finished a General Practice Residency at the UW Medical Center and practiced general dentistry as an associate in Monroe and Cottage Lake. He went on to complete his post-graduate Endodontic training at the University of Washington in the summer of 1998. Continuing his passion for the specialty for endodontics, Dr. Rude has been an associate affiliate professor at the University of Washington Endodontic Program for 17 years and remains on staff.

He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and Washington State Association of Endodontics. He also belongs to the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association and the King County Dental Society. He was recognized by his dental colleagues in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine as a Top Dentist for the past ten years. In his free time, Dr. Rude enjoys snowboarding, running and tennis.

Last month I had a root canal done by Dr. Rude. It was fun from the moment of checking in until I was out the door. Friendly staff and Dr. Rude was the consummate professional, talking through every step. Im a needle-phobe and he explained the process, having me look away before he started. Dr. Rude and his assistant Alex were fantastic. Going into this procedure I was expecting there was going to be little pain. There was none. The only part that was a little bit painful, were the novocaine shots. The one thing that amazed me was that there was very little conversation between Alex and Dr. Rude. Alex seemed to know exactly what instrument Dr. Rude needed ahead of time. This helped the procedure move along quickly. Dr. Rude and his staff was so professional when I came into get my root canal done. It was my third root canal so I wasnt worried about the procedure. The other dentists who did my first two root canals didnt do as good as a job as Dr. Rude. Dr. Rude used a large microscope to do the root canal & he explained to me that he could see other roots & cracks in the tooth, so that there would be less problems later. I love the laughing gas. My mom was referred to Dr Rude two weeks ago for an emergency root canal. The dental assistant Stacey was very kind and gentle with mom who was in a wheelchair.My mom was very nervous but Dr Rude explained everything very well to her that she felt a lot more comfortable with the root canal.They were very fast and were done in an hour. With over 17 years here, Kellie is a primary force in keeping things running well. Kellie graduated from the University of Washington with a double major in Sociology and Psychology.She just loves that we are in the job of getting people out of pain and preserving natural teeth. I believe in top-notch service and making our patients and referring doctors feel special.When not working she spends time with her husband Peter, three horses, two dogs, and two cats. She teaches dressage (a style of horse riding and jumping) does Pilates and loves hanging out with friends. She is also an avid reader and likes to travel specially to horse related vacations.

Mikie has been with Kirkland Endodontics for 17 years. Shes been in the dental field for 31 years starting as a dental assistant. A rare native of the area, Mikie graduated from Redmond High School and then Western Washington U.She loves being able to help patients get out of pain and feeling good. I love working with people and I always have a smile when working with patients.Her three kids are moving up in life with one still in college. She loves living in Snohomish with her chihuahua named Milo, and travels with her husband, relaxes, and reads whenever she can.

Alex attended Charter College and is a registered dental assistant and CPR certified. Shes been doing endodontic assisting with us for a year and a half. She loves treating every patient with TLC. Each patient is investing in their health, and deserves to have each concern listened to and cared aboutShe lives in Monroe with her husband, two kids, two cats, and one dog. When shes not working, she likes to hike, paint and hang out with her family.

We have been thrilled to have Stacey with Kirkland Endodontics for 11 years. She is a true local, graduating from Mt. Si High School and then attending Lake Washington Institute of Technology.She lives in Monroe with her daughter, two dogs (Clyde and Ruby) and her cat Norman. For fun she enjoys wine tasting and camping.

Sarai was lucky to grow up in Hawaii on Oahu. She received endodontic job training in 1997 and has been working in the profession for twenty-two years as an Endodontic Assistant.She truly enjoys her job as she gets to help people out of dental pain. Patient care and well being is my #1 priority and I just love seeing how happy people get once a root canal is completed and they are out of pain.She lives in downtown Bellevue with her husband who she has been married to for 20 years, and her 11-year-old daughter Gabriella and her puppy Tinkerbell. For entertainment she dances, has game nights with her family, and travels to warm tropical places whenever she can. Her unique life perspective comes from being the youngest daughter in her 10-children family.

At Kirkland Endodontics since 2006, Susan graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Math and Numerical Analysis.She enjoys meeting new patients and helping their experience at the practice go smoothly.Susan lives in Woodinville with her rescue dog Emoji ( a long-haired chihuahua ) two horses, an Andalusian named Sami and a Dutch Harness Horse named Nieko. When shes not training her horses in dressage she likes to read and do gardening.

Susan has been working at Kirkland Endodontics on and off over the last 10 years and has been full-time since 2016. She graduated from Bellevue Community College with an Associated Degree.Her home is in Redmond where she lives with her husband Jason and two daughters Laila & Maddy. Running around her house are three rescued animals a bulldog named Ollie, and two cats, Penny and Purrey.Gardening and hanging out with family and friends are few of the fun things she enjoys.
