We provide professional, wide-ranging pediatric dental care including diagnostic examinations, cleanings, fluoride treatments, restoration of decayed teeth, therapeutic pulp treatments, extractions, and treatment of oral trauma. We enjoy educating our child patients and their parents about proper oral hygiene and diet in hopes that they can help prevent future problems.
We use age-appropriate behavior management techniques. We also have the options of nitrous oxide and oral sedation, if needed. General anesthesia provided by an anesthesiologist is another option available in our office.
Because we understand that accidents happen. We commit to being there for our families during the most stressful moments, even if it is outside of normal work hours. While emergency rooms serve as a resource to families, we know that relying on the provider that you have a relationship with is often the best way to work through these stressful moments
We believe that those early dental visits shape a childs future attitude towards dentistry. If we can provide positive experiences in the beginning, and present dentistry to children in ways that are easy to understand, we can reduce or eliminate any dental anxiety. We know we have done our job well when we hear kids say theyre excited to come back!
We have received special training in pediatrics to be able to give you insight into what to anticipate for your childs oral growth and development. Additionally, our training in behavior management and sedation gives us the tools to treat children with special behavioral or medical conditions. This means we are able to tailor our treatment approach specifically to what your child needs.
Dental education and prevention is our passion. As we cultivate good oral hygiene in one child, an amazing phenomenon happens as awareness spreads to the whole family, resulting in better oral health for everyone! When a child is taught and empowered to take proper care of the teeth and gums, being cavity-free for a lifetime is actually possible.

Dr. Aimee was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. At the age of 14, she moved to Washington and attended Kings High School in Shoreline. Dr. Aimee entered University of the Pacifics accelerated honors program for both undergraduate and dental school in California, earning her D.D.S. degree in 2006. To broaden her experience and further her education, Dr. Aimee completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Denver Health Medical Center in Colorado. She then worked in a private family practice before specializing in Pediatric Dentistry at UCLA. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
After seeing much of the West Coast, Dr. Aimee decided it was time to come home in 2010. She and her husband have 2 children, and are happy to grow roots in the Kirkland community. On her off days, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, going on easy hikes, and eating as much ice cream as she can!
Raised in Puyallup, Washington and a Husky faithful (Go Dawgs!), Dr. Kevin McCoy is excited to be serving families in the Pacific Northwest. He has a passion for working with children while having fun and providing the best dental care possible.
After finishing dental school at the University of Washington, Dr. McCoy followed his passion for childrens dentistry by completing two years of specialty training in Dallas, Texas at Baylor College of Dentistry, earning a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters in Oral Biology. He also gained extensive clinical and emergency experience at Dallas Childrens Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
In his spare time, Dr. McCoy loves to stay active with sports and outdoors activities. You can find him shooting hoops at the park, hiking trails around the great Northwest, or cheering in his purple and gold at Husky Stadium.

Everything at this office is top notch! Everyone is friendly, professional and knowledgeable! From the front desk staff to the hygienists who are very thorough and professional to Dr Aimee and McCoy always giving me peace of mind, excellent information and reassurance about my kids' teeth as well as a plan/next steps. Additionally, the seats and set up are "kid friendly" and to top it off, kids get their little toy prize which always makes them look forward to seeing their dentist yay! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!!!

We moved out of Kirkland a few years ago but continue to take the longer drive in order to stay with Dr. Aimee and all the wonderful staff. My daughter feels heard and they make her feel like her comfort is key. They talk through every step and make sure to take the time to address any concerns from both of us. On top of that, they make the experience fun with cool props for the kids, prizes, and their interest in every child's life and preferred activities.

Our boys love going to the dentist. Thank you, Dr. McCoy and your team. Our oldest son told his brother the morning of, "Sage, we get to go to the dentist. You are going to love it!! " thinking the first time his brother went, he may have forgotten, lol. Dr. Mcoy and his staff have made every visit fun, from the way they speak to you to the kind, caring, energetic and loving spirits they have. I can't thank you all enough for the ease of taking our children to something we do for our life and health. I have professionally worked with Dr. Aimee and Dr. McCoy in the past through a referring doctor and knew they were masters of their craft. Still, the experience of being a patient at their practice confirmed and exceeded everything I already thought I knew. The staff hold very high standards when it comes to safety and sterility! Great people who work and love this Dentist office! Both my boys have been clients since 2016 and they are superb! Both my boys have High Functioning Autism and I noticed immediately that they explain everything to the client before they do any procedure. My 5 year old would not sit in a dental chair before bringing him to this Dentist. Now, they both go in by themselves and are comfortable, confident, and safe. Highly recommended! Thank you for being such outstanding community members who show they care with every interaction!

The entire team at Kirkland Children's Dentistry was helpful and kind. The environment is calming and comfortable (my son called it cozy), and they really go out of their way to ensure their patients feel happy and safe. We had such a positive experience, and we're grateful to have found them.

We love Dr. Aimee and Dr. McCoy. We've seen both and are very happy. The hygienists are great and efficient as well. We've been going here for years with both of our kids. They still take COVID precautions seriously, which makes me very happy and feel comfortable. Thank you!

The staff and hygienist are very friendly and really know how to work with kids. I'm always amazed at how patient they're with each child. I was really nervous that my kid would be clingy and not listen/cooperate, but the hygienist engaged her in conversation and slowly explained all the tools. My four year old daughter was super happy and bouncy after the appointment. The movies and toys in the waiting area are also really helpful, except when I'm trying to get her to leave :). Hands down Dr. Aimee is the best Pediatric dentist.

Super responsive and efficient. My little had a nasty fall and they checked her out in a really gentle and child friendly way. They even managed to get a cleaning in and she had a great time!
