For several years, Dr. Michael Kirchner has been transforming smiles in Jeffersonville, IN and the surrounding communities. As an experienced dentist, he understands that his education did not end after he graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and went on to complete a general practice residency at the University of Toledo. In its Division of Hospital Dentistry, he learned sedation dentistry techniques to help anxious patients and performed complex dental surgery.
He continued his training at the internationally-renowned Dawson Academy, where he received The Concept of Complete Dentistry Award, and also studied at Spear Education. Dr. Kirchner also completed advanced sedation training from DOCS and advanced denture training from Massad and the Geneva Dental Institute of Sacramento.
He hasnt stopped learning, either. Dr. Kirchner routinely takes 10 times the amount of continuing education required of dentists in Indiana. He is passionate about staying up-to-date on the latest advancements that make oral care easier for his patients. He has taken courses in anesthesia, CAD/CAM, esthetic dentistry, facial pain, occlusion, prosthetics, rehabilitative dentistry, TMD, and more.
In 2013, Dr. Kirchner received the Rising Star Award from One Southern Indiana Chamber of Commerce for top business less than five years old. That same year, he also won the Business Source Top 20 Under 40 for business professionals. In 2015, the News and Tribune recognized him as the Readers Choice Best Dentist in Clark County.
Dr. Kirchner is making a difference in the community. He serves on the board of the Clark County Youth Shelter and has completed Leadership Southern Indiana. His office gives significant dental services to people in need by partnering with local organizations, including Donated Dental and various charitable organizations.
Dr. Kirchner was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He still enjoys a good Orioles game despite their performance over the years. He was drawn to Indiana for dental school after seeing the movie Hoosiers. Dr. Kirchner now lives in New Albany with his wife and two sons. They are active members of Graceland Church. They enjoy camping, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors.
Dr. Nick English was born and raised in Louisville and attended Trinity High School. He majored in chemistry and minored in biological sciences at the University of Kentucky, where he graduated summa cum laude. While at UK, he shadowed a dentist and fell in love with that aspect of dentistry.
As a result of his experience, he pursued dentistry as a vocation. He went to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree, graduating in 2021 summa cum laude and a member of the Phi Delta Society (representing the top 10 percent of the class). Dr. English was also a 2020 Hinman Scholar and was featured in U of Ls Profiles in Leadership in 2020.
The best part of dentistry for Dr. English is bringing confidence back to his patients through a beautiful smile. His patients love his treatment because of how much he cares. He tries to provide a stress-free, pain-free dental experience for everyone. Dr. English strives to be a calming, reassuring, and cheerful provider.
Outside of work, Dr. English loves to cook and try new restaurants. He also enjoys many outdoor activities, including running, hiking, fishing, golfing, going to the lake, and walking with Claire and Opie.
She was raised in the small town of Cynthiana, KY. She attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2012. She went on to the UK College of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry in 2019.
She loves every aspect of her profession because it is creative, challenging, beautiful, and fun. However, Dr. Switzers favorite areas of practice are oral surgery and endodontics. She enjoys that the learning never ends with dentistry. Dr. Switzer is certified in Botox, Kybella, and advanced dermal fillers. She is an active member of the Louisville Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
She also is excited to be part of the team at Kirchner Dental. She enjoys getting to know her patients and working with them to formulate personalized and comprehensive treatment plans for their smiles.
Outside the office, Dr. Switzer enjoys traveling with her husband Sami, hosting dinner parties for friends, traveling home to spend time with family, and cuddling up with a book and her two cats, Clementine and Ferguson.

Needed a new dentist since mine retired. Called yesterday with a broken tooth. Got a crown today. One visit. Friendly and helpful staff. Impressive office.

Always had a great experience with this group! All the dental hygienists and dentists were so knowledgeable and helpful if I had questions, and gave me the best cleaning tools to help my take care of my teeth! I loved that at your first appointment you are able to express what services you actually want from them whether it be functionality, cosmetics, or just long lasting teeth! They also did my daughters first "teeth cleaning" when she was one year old, and let her chose toy from their treasure chest. She has always looked forward to dentists visits since then! Not sure I'll find another office so invested in its clients!

Allison (Insurance Billing Specialist) exceeds and excels fighting insurance claims. I've never experienced anyone "going to the mattress" has she continues to do. I loved my experience with Kirchner Dental! I have been a patient since December and have had several things done. Dr. Switzer preformed an extraction on my wisdom tooth that went great and healed perfectly. I also saw Dr. English who not only has a great smile but does great dental work! I love the staff and can't wait for my next appointment!!!!

I've never felt better after going to a dentist office! I was a first time patient since I had just moved to Louisville so I was nervous how the experience was going to go. I walked in and immediately was greeted with smiles from everyone. I felt like all of the staff actually cared and I was able to trust them with information with no judgement in return. 10/10 recommend!!

Have been coming to the Jeffersonville location for a nearly 2 years and have never had a complaint. All the work I've had done has held up nicely and they're always willing to go the extra mile to keep me happy. Very satisfied with Kirchner Dental group and happy to continue coming back.

Was not happy with the service I got from the dentist , she wasted my time and money , they care only for themselves and money and not their patients. This place is a total mess, it's like -Too many cooks spoils the soup. Will not recommend for people who are really needing good care and attention.

Kirchner Dental is great. I had some pain and needed to get checked out quickly. I was able to schedule online, pick a date and time that worked for me and even got to choose my location from their three different offices. The staff was friendly and efficient and their equipment is state of the art making the dental visit as comfortable as possibly as much as it is possible when it comes to dental work. One of the reasons I chose Kirchner Dental is that they claimed on their website that they try to make it as comfortable as possible and work with patients that have "dental anxiety". I can confirm that this is true. Thanks to the Kirchner staff for their excellent care.
