In 1989, a Gaston County community-based indigent care task force composed of concerned citizens, business leaders, elected local officials, and representatives of Gaston Memorial Hospital, was formed to address the need of the growing uninsured population and the use of episodic emergency department care as an inappropriate substitute for primary care. The group was concerned with providing the right careat the right time, at the right place. The result was the establishment of Gaston Family Health Services (GFHS) with a mission to provide family healthcare to anyone in need, regardless of ability to pay. With technical assistances from the North Carolina Office of Rural Health, GFHS was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1991. GFHS saw its first patients in 1992 at the practice co-located within Gaston County Health Department building on Hudson Blvd. in Gastonia.
Today, our team of family medicine physicians,pediatricians, advanced practice providers,dentists, psychologists and behavioral health providers care for patients atover 25 practices throughout Alexander, Catawba, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Gaston, Iredell and Lincoln counties.
Our services include adult and pediatric primary and dental care, behavioral health counseling, pharmacy services, chronic disease education programs (diabetes, hypertension, weight loss), Medication Assistance Treatment, nutritional counseling,womens screening clinics,vision care,school-based medical, behavioral health and dental programs, HIV/AIDS Case Management and care management services for at-risk pregnant women and children.
2020 marks an exciting time for the organization in the transition to our new identity. In April, GFHS unveiled and began operating under a new brand name. That new identity, Kintegra Health better represents the collective talents of over 500 staff members, and the comprehensive and integrated care we provide through core and enabling support services and special programming.
Kintegra employs an array of ancillary staff members who make up our Advanced Care team. These team members are in addition to your primary care provider. They serve in the role as panel managers, diabetes educators, licensed clinical social workers and pharmacists, and provide additional information and support in managing your health. Our Advanced Care team members at each site are are listed below.

Dr. Newman along with the entire staff are super friendly and great at what they do. Dr Newman fixed a broken tooth as good as it was before it broke. It's going on two years now and no problems. Highly recommend this place.

the rudest staff i've ever talked to on the phone. i've called for months in a row and they've always told me i couldn't get in till the next month. i've had to wait for 30+ minutes almost just to get on the phone with someone

I have had some awful experiences with dentist . So far the 2 dentist @ kintegra have pulled out 5 of my bad teeth and I have 9 more to come out . The 2 dr there and there staff and dental assistants are awesome. I will never go anywhere but here way to go dr Newman and all of the staff . You all rock. So far dr.newman has pulled 11 of my teeth and has not once hurt me dr Newman u and ur staff are awesome . Thank u so much

I just got off the phone with a receptionist not to mention a wait time of an hour even calling at 8:00am and I still waited a whole hour to get someone on the phone I have been calling for months to get a fill appt set up and every time I call on Monday at 8 when they open like they told me to the wait time is ridiculous on top of waiting the hour to get someone on the phone just for her to tell me no they don't have appt and to call back through the week after 1:30 to see if someone else has canceled really need to get it together

I am very pleased with my treatment at Kintegra Dentistry of Statesville. They are very professional and get straight to the business at hand. There is not a long wait time from check-in to when they call me back. I don't wait long in the exam room either! They explain everything they are going to do and I am very happy with their work! I would recommend their services to anyone!

Like pain? No appointment without proof of insurance or income verification if cash! Couldn't care less if you're in agony. I had insurance just no card on me. Printed card, called back and said 2-3 days to verify! It's been 5 and no call back. I've already had a root canal at another office. Scum.

I've been trying to make an appointment for months and every time I call they tell me to call back next week. When I do, once again I'm told to call back. Why accept new patients if you're not going to help them get an appointment???? The first time I went...the ONE time I was able to get an appointment...was when I was registering as a new patient and the receptionist didn't give me my driver license back. Then I had to call them several times about my license and drive there to get it. Not to mention all the times I had to call them back about a referral they gave me for an oral surgeon because they didn't email the surgeon the paperwork. this is the most unprofessional and disorganized dentist office I've been to.

Just went and got four teeth pulled Thursday. September 17. Can't ask for any better place. Really nice people and the dentist was amazing. Never felt any pain or pressure while she was pulling my teeth. I will definitely go back.

I had an emergency as I bit down on some food and broke my tooth. I was in great pain. After being on hold for 55 minutes, someone finally answered the phone. Dr. Newman was nice, but she about killed me. She was rough and while putting pressure on the root to get my tooth pulled, she slipped and bruised the roof of my mouth. Now where the tooth was pulled it doesn't hurt, but the entire right side of my mouth is hurting bad and tingling somewhat. Dr. Newman and the assistant were not focused on my treatment but was concerned about Dr. Newman's earring. I may contact the N.C. Dental bureau.

This place is a joke!!!!! I have an abscessed tooth, top right in the back. They want me to send them a picture of it before they will even see me. They sent me instructions on how to do so, which is a joke to begin with. But due to the location their instructions are useless there is no way to take a picture unless I can put my phone in my mouth which is obviously impossible. I understand with the covid 19 going on everyone wants to be safe but dang come on really I'm going to have to come in to pull it anyways. Then I read all these reviews and after which I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

3rd time there very friendly staff clean short wait time doctors excellent I can amit I was scared at first because I have had some very bad experiences but they made sure my mouth were really numb before they started any work on my mouth.I would recommend anyone to go there keep up the good work guys and Thanks for being Patient and Caring.
