Dr. Kinoian received an Ivy League education and his Bachelors degree from Columbia College at Columbia University in New York where he majored in music. He has studied classical guitar with many of the worlds most renowned classical guitarists including the great Maestro Andres Segovia. He has performed on the great stages of Carnegie Recital Hall, New Yorks Town Hall and New Yorks Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others.
Dr. Kinoian was recently selected by a vote of his peers, for the 6th consecutive year, to be included in the listings of topDentists. TopDentistsTM listings cannot be purchased and are considered a singular honor.
Dr. Kinoian is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Mid-Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association and the Bergen County Dental Association. He is licensed by the State Board of Dentistry in New Jersey and is proud to be recognized as a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics by New Jersey Specialty Permit #3727.
Additionally, Dr. Kinoian is an active member of theArmenian American Health Professionals Organizationwhere he acts as their unofficial photographer and has given several lectures on orthodontics including at their 2009 World Congress. He has been on the Board of Directors for over ten years for theArmenian Center at Columbia University.

Geita is the first smiling face you see as you walk through our doors. She has been with Dr. Kinoian since 2005 and her main position is making sure everything runs smoothly at the front reception desk. She does a bit of everything but is our insurance expert and she can answer all your scheduling and financial questions. She says I truly enjoy getting to know our patients and their parents so that they feel like they are part of our family.
Geita and her husband, Sami, have 3 beautiful children: Luke, Mark and Rachel and she loves spending time with them and their friends. If you are lucky you may get a taste of her spectacular cooking especially her Middle Eastern treats!
Carmen is fluent in Spanish and loves speaking in her native language with many of our patients. She has been working with Dr. Kinoian for over 10 years starting soon after Dr. Kinoian finished her orthodontic treatment!
Carmens main job is making sure that everything runs smoothly for our patients while they are being seen with Dr. Kinoian. She says that her favorite thing about orthodontics is working with the patients to achieve their perfect smile and that she loves to see the changes in patients as they go through treatment. Its fun to see their excitement and their new smile when they finish.
Helen enjoys her position at the front desk because she gets to know all the patients and their families. She says, Coming to work is fun and I like socializing and making everyone feel comfortable. I love the amazement and delight on patients faces when they get their braces off and they see their new beautiful smile for the first time.
Helen enjoys speaking Armenian with our Armenian patients and her decades of involvement with that community means that she has surprising connections with many families both nearby and in New England.
Outside of our office, she may be found at the gym 6 days a week, and she is a master eBay where you might find her selling antique treasures. She has run her own antiques business for over 50 years and had her own store in Hackensack for 25 of those.

Dr. Kinoian is incredibly generous with his knowledge and time. He had my husband and me in for last-minute, free consultations after a full day of patients and I am very grateful! He is very personable and warm, and takes his time to explain things step-by-step, offer options, and share his honest opinions. He gave me a consult for Invisalign, answered all of my questions honestly and helpfully, and printed out a quote for me to take home. I highly recommend booking a free consultation with Dr. Kinoian if you are on the fence or have questions about orthodontics!

The person that own the place is SOOOO nice, so yesterday, my family's car had some sort of problems, and it was pretty late. So my mom go and asked people for help, and my mom found him, and ask for help. we were so lucky that we found that guy. he said that he did not have it on the car, but he could go and get it, we were so thankful. As i said he is SOOOOOO nice.

I was told I need three teeth pulled. And i wanted to know if there was an orthodontic alternative to getting an implant and I found Dr. Robert V. Kinoian. What a top notch doctor! I'd like to say thank you Dr. Kinoian very much for taking your time with me, for explaining my options to me, and for dissipating my doubts. Thank you for the two referrals (two Prosthodontists). Totally recommended! By the way, nice office and kind receptionist, top notch customer service. I felt special!

Dr. Kinoian, along with his entire staff are outstanding. I've been a patient for the last 10+ years, and I have no complaints at ALL. Dr. Kinoian completely transformed my teeth, and not once did he make me feel rushed or uncomfortable. He makes you feel like you're at home, as he never fails to take his time and really speak to you about what's going on. I was a patient of Dr. Kinoian for almost 10 years, from when i was 9 to 18. He and his office were almost like extended family; they watched me grow up. They were always very loving and committed to my comfort (as much as they could be) and satisfaction, and they sent me and my brother handwritten birthday cards every year. It was that kind of closeness. I'll always have fond memories about that. However, fast forward 8 years from the end of my treatment, and my gums have receded to the point of needing 2 gum grafts (one in 2012, one last week) over almost all my teeth. For the last 8 years, since getting my braces off, I have been flossing daily and brushing 2x a day and such, so the cause of my extensive bone and gum loss is almost certainly not from gingivitis, but from my teeth being moved around so aggressively for 9 years. Basically, I was born with an extreme underbite that probably should have been addressed surgically; however, Dr. Kinoian advised my mother that we should correct my bite non-surgically, which led to 9 years of retainers, headgear, elastic bands, a palate expander, braces, a tooth positioner, all kinds of stuff. I don't know if it was as common knowledge then as it is now that even slight movements of teeth can contribute to bone and gum loss; but here I am today, with great-looking straight teeth and a functional bite, but $3500 poorer after getting two gum grafts just to keep my teeth in my head. Dr. Kinoian is really kind and a pleasure to work with, and I'm grateful for all of his well-intentioned care, but that's my cautionary tale.

Dr. Kinoian has a friendly and welcoming staff. He did wonderful orthodontic work on both my son and daughter and now they both have great smiles which helps build their confidence. Dr. Kinoian was very attentive to their individual needs and did an awesome job. He is a perfectionist and we recommend him highly!!
