Dr. Ian Healy, a native Houstonian, attended Stratford High School where he played football, baseball and rugby. Dr. Healy then received a full academic scholarship to Tulane University where he graduated in the Honors Program. He was then accepted into the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.
After graduating in the top of his dental class,Dr. Healy was selected to be one of only four residents in the University of Tennessee Orthodontics Department. This three-year orthodontic residency is known for its intensive clinical training and for being one of the oldest orthodontic programs in the South.
Dr. Healy was selected as Chief Resident during his final year at the University of Tennessee and graduated with a Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Dental Science. After graduating, he completed the exams necessary to become a Board Certified Orthodontist, a distinction held by only one in three orthodontists in the United States.
In his free time Dr. Healy still likes to play sports and workout, as well as explore the Houston area, attend church, and spend time with his wife, Cindy, and their son Lucas and daughter Evelyn. Cindy is an OB/GYN at Care for Women here in Kingwood. As they both live and work here in Kingwood, they are fully committed to being a part of the community. You may see them shopping at H-E-B or grabbing lunch at Chelseas, so make sure you say hello (and wear those rubber bands)!
No matter how crazy busy it gets here, Alma stays calm, cool, and collected at the front desk. Her 15 years of experience as a dental office receptionist have taught her how to multitask like a boss while maintaining her Zen mode! Alma moved to Kingwood from Chicago to be closer to her extended family and now she spends most weekends at family get togethers. She has two sons, one daughter, and a giant puppy named Rex. Alma loves warm chocolate chip cookies and Tex Mex, but hates all spicy food including spicy salsa.

As an adult in my 30's on my second round of braces, all I can say is, WOW! After comparing multiple practices (as one does), I couldn't be happier with the fact that I went with Dr. Healy at Kingwood Orthodontics. From the first initial consultation to having my braces removed, everything has been a truly delightful experience. A couple of things to note: 1. My appointments have always been on time. Never once late or rescheduled. This has always been extremely important to me as I work full time downtown. 2. The staff has always answered the phone and I have always been able to speak with someone in the event I needed to. 3. Everyone took time out of their day to get to know me and from what I can tell, every other patient there. It wasn't just your common doctor's office niceties. The genuineness that is shown by everyone there makes you look forward to going. 4. My smile is ten times better than the first time I had braces. Dr. Healy went above and beyond in listening to what I wanted, adjusting strategies and helped me achieve a "Hollywood" smile. :-D Whether you are getting braces for your first time or going on your second round as an adult because you didn't wear your retainers (like me), Dr. Healy and Kingwood Orthodontics is the place where you want to get your orthodontic work done. As I mentioned above, I couldn't be happier with not only the results, but the entire experience.

Kingwood Orthodontics is amazing. Dr. Healy is warm and friendly, yet meticulous. He will ensure everything is lined up perfectly and will do everything in his power to give you a great smile. The staff is also very friendly and kind. We have had three children in braces and couldn't imagine trusting anyone else.

i've been going here for about five years, and i couldn't be happier! every time i went in for an appointment, the staff was so gentle and caring. you can really tell that they all genuinely love their job and their patients. i always felt so loved and taken care of when i went here. walking into the office was like a burst of sunshine. everyone was so upbeat and happy and they will make your day better in an instant. i'm so glad to say that i was a part of their patient list. i couldn't imagine any other place to find my perfect smile. thank you so much kingwood orthodontics. you guys are so special, and i couldn't thank you enough!

I really enjoyed my treatment at kingwood ortho! Today was my last day, after 15 months and I haven't had one bad experience. I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes, everyone is so friendly especially the Dr, and they have taken care of all my needs. So happy I chose them!

The staff is super sweet and gentle. They are so good with my daughter and explain everything they are doing before they start so she feels comfortable. We moved to League City in the middle of her first phase of work and we will continue to go Kingwood Orthodontics because of the staff and Dr. Healy.

We've been proud patients at Kingwood Orthodontics since 2013. All three of my children started at 7yrs old with complimentary X-rays and exam. This continued yearly (all complimentary!) until it was time to start braces. Each of my kids orthodontic path was different...my first started braces in 7th grade. My middle had some teeth extracted in 2nd grade and started braces in 6th. My youngest had an expander, teeth extracted and started phase one braces in 3rd grade. We feel like family at Kingwood Orthodontics.The front desk staff is always so welcoming, patient and very helpful in making appointments. Each of the orthodontic assistants are outstanding. One thing that stands out is the sincere care in wanting to help show my kids how to best clean their teeth while in braces. Instead of just telling them to brush better, they take the time to pull a mirror out and teach them how to properly care for their oral hygiene...each & every time. Dr. Healy is one of a kind! We love his positive personality, he is thorough and detail oriented in planning care for each of my children and so personable whether it be in the office at our visit or when we see him & his family out & about in the community! We feel *immensely blessed* to have "medical center quality of care" here in the suburbs of Kingwood!!

We came here after a terrible experience elsewhere and couldn't be happier. The office staff is amazing, the assistants are amazing, Dr. Blake and Dr. Healy are amazing. The office is very inviting and clean as is everything else. We never have to wait long to be seen, and the drs go above and beyond to make sure we know what is being done that day and kindly answer all my questions. I love that we can also have checkups in Dayton which is close to home. I have absolutely no complaints and look forward to having my other daughter get her braces here as well as myself in the future.

We initially decided on Kingwood Orthodontics because of their proximity to our home/schools. However, over the years (2 sons with braces) we have had a wonderful experience. The staff is so helpful and personable. Most importantly, we are thrilled with the results both of our boys received. Beautiful smiles for sure!

Marissa had her braces removed last week. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to see her sharing that beautiful smile with friends, family and camera. Our experience with Kingwood Orthodontist could not have been better. The entire staff was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful at all times. The office was run very efficiently and never did we have to wait for our scheduled appointment . When I forgot an appointment, they notified me, agreed to see me when I could get there and were very understanding of my mixup.
