OUR FACILITY is designed for children, not adults. Most dental offices look likedental offices. When you come through our front door, you will know right away that this is not your typical dental office. This is a place kids want to come to because its a fun place to visit! Our waiting area has a fun and interactive play area for little ones, along with video games for the bigger kids. Check out our facility.

OUR TEAM is amazing! We specifically choose each of our staff members for their friendliness and ability to build relationships with children. Not every person was born to interact with children all day but we were!

Dr. Helderman has been a resident of Morristown since 2012 when she bought Morristown Pediatric Dentistry and started her journey providing care for the children in the Lakeway area. She was born and raised in Oxford, North Carolina. Dr. Helderman graduated from NC State University in 2002 with a degree in Biology, then attended the University of Louisville where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2008. In 2010 Dr. Helderman completed her Pediatric Dental Residency certificate and a Masters degree at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Helderman is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry which ensures that she stays up-to-date on the best techniques and materials to serve our community.

She and her husband Jared have a daughter, Bellamy, and three labradoodle furbabies Lexi, Lily, and Layla. When shes not educating patients and parents on having a healthy smile, shes spending time with her daughter. You may see Dr. Helderman out in the community as she serves on the Board of Morristown Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Helping Young Professionals Excel (HYPE) Board, and has assisted Hamblen County Foundation for Educational Excellence and Achievement (HC*EXCELL) on their Ready by 6 Health Equity Committee.

Dr. Stone received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1979 and his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio (University of Toledo) in 1982. He completed his residency in anesthesia at the University of Florida in 1985, where he received advanced training in pediatric anesthesia. He was initially certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1987 and has twice recertified. He was certified in pediatric anesthesiology in 2015.

Dr. Stone has been a long-time ambulatory surgery center director (16 years) with extensive experience in the care of children. Dr. Stone has been involved in dental office anesthesia since 2003. In addition, he was the director of anesthesia education for the MAHEC dental general practice residency.

Dr. Jason Pollack grew up in New York, in the suburbs of Manhattan. He went on to graduate from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in biology, where he focused on plant genetic engineering. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 2012 with honors in bioethics and professionalism. He then went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. After his residency, he moved to Nashville to complete his fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital where he remained on faculty. Dr. Pollack is board certified in both adult and pediatric anesthesiology and has a special interest in anesthesia for complex pediatric neurosurgical and spine procedures. His volunteer work is centered on high-quality care of children in both Guatemala and Kijabe, Kenya.

Dr. Pollack is passionate about providing safe and comfortable anesthetics for children and their families. On his days off he enjoys the lake with his family. He is excited as he joins PDAA and looks forward to providing safe and effective anesthesia services to our pediatric dental patients and their families.

Charity has been a registered dental assistant for 22 years. Shes a graduate of Cherokee High School and Walters State. Shes from both Tennessee and Michiganbut she says Tennessee is home! She loves making friendships with coworkers (including Lexi!) and getting to know our patients. She especially enjoys our birthday lunches! She and her husband, Bryan, have been married for 15 years, and they have a 10-year-old son, Carson. When shes not at work, Charity enjoys traveling, camping, and watching her son play soccer and basketball. Shes a member of Persia Baptist Church in Rogersville. Her favorite color is purple, and the holiday she most looks forward to is Thanksgiving. And if you want to know her favorite restaurant, its Chop House!

Dawn is one of our registered dental assistants and works in the front office as well. She grew up in a military family and enjoyed traveling the world. When shes not at work, shes relaxing by the pool, reading, or hanging out with her husband, three children, grandson, dog, and cat. Her favorite color is blue, and she likes Mexican food, Auburn football, and Halloween.

Our office manager Debbie has worked at Morristown Pediatric Dentistry since 1991. She is a registered dental hygienist and graduated from East Tennessee State University. She is from Bean Station and has four children and one granddaughter. She loves doing anything outsidesports, running, playing golf, being at the lake or beach, and loves being with her granddaughter. Since summer is her favorite time of year, July 4th is her favorite holiday. She cheers on the Tennessee Vols and sometimes Alabama when they arent playing Tennessee, of course.

Heather, one of our registered dental hygienists, graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2015 and began working at Kingsport Pediatric Dentistry in 2017. She loves the atmosphere, working with kids, and working at community events. She is married, has a daughter, a son, and a dog. She likes lime green, Mexican food, the store Francescas, the restaurant Cranberries, Thanksgiving, and cheering on Clemson!

Lois has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1994. She says that her favorite thing about working at Kingsport Pediatric Dentistry is belonging to a compassionate work team, whose members are committed to helping children with their dental needs. Lois grew up in Rogersville but currently lives in Surgoinsville. She has one child, Jamey, and enjoys hiking outdoors, kayaking, camping, and yard work.

A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Megan started at Kingsport Pediatric Dentistry in November 2017. She loves working with all the kids as well as Lexi the dog and also enjoys the work outings the employees take. Megan is married and has three dogs. When shes not working, she is shopping, hiking, traveling, or spending time with friends and family. Her favorite color is purple, her favorite food is pasta, her favorite restaurant is Olive Garden, and her favorite holiday is Christmas.

Sherry is the first smiling face you see when you arrive. A graduate of Sullivan South High School, she calls Kingsport her home. She loves her coworkers and the family-like environment here. Sherry is married to David and the couple has three children, five grandchildren, and a dog named Bella. Sherry enjoys cooking, camping, reading, and watching sports. She is active in Oak Glen Union Church and her daughters school. Sherry loves the color blue, the Tennessee Volunteers, spinach artichoke dip, Mountain View Restaurant, and antiquing. Her favorite holiday is Christmas.

Sarah graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Indiana University Northwest and has been working in the dental field for over 6 years. Her favorite part about her job at Kingsport Pediatric Dentistry is the kids she gets to meet and talk with on a daily basis! When shes not working, Sarah and her husband, Philip, love being outside camping, hiking, at the lake, or walking their Cockapoo, Murphy. Sarahs favorite color is purple, Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday, and she loves rooting for the Chicago Cubs & Bears.

A Jefferson County High School graduate, Taylor calls this area home. She has a part of the Kingsport Pediatric Dentistry family since 2017. She has two daughters and loves spending time with her girls and her family. Her favorite color is pink, and she loves Thanksgiving and the Tennessee Vols.

Lexi is an Australian Labradoodle. She has joined our family as a therapy dog for our patients. Lexi is still a puppy and learning, but her presence helps calm and relax the children. She is a hypoallergenic dog, which means no shedding and in MOST cases people with allergies are not affected by her. If for any reason you or your child do not want Lexi out and about while you are in the office, please let us know and we will be happy to put her in her bed!
