Dr. Kimia grew up in Montreal, Canada where he attended Dental School at the tender age of 17 and received his DMD degree in 2004 at the age of 23. He served as an Alpha Omega president, as well as theDental Student Body President for two years.
After 15 yeas of brutal winters, he started his southwestern journey with a rather small move to Rochester, NY where he completed his AEGD residency. He remained and practiced in upstate New York till 2008 before moving to Scottsdale, AZ. After 5 years spent in the heat of the desert, and constant petitioning from family members, he finally surrendered and moved to Southern California in 2013.
He has diverse interests, first and foremost he is a huge sports fan and played baseball and hockey his whole life until the burden of dental school forced him into early retirement. Having grown up in Montreal, naturally he is a die hard Canadiens fan, as many of you know by now.
He speaks several languages and is fascinated by history, foreign cultures, politics and financial markets. As far as dentistry goes, as he says, he has been very fortunate over the years to work alongside great mentors who conveyed to him their knowledge and expertise in different disciplines. He truly enjoys all aspects of the dental field but excels in full mouth rehabilitation cases, smile design and surgery. His philosophy has always been to educate his patients, present them with all possible options as well as the pros and cons that go alongside them.
In our society today, there are very few dental offices remaining such as this one, a family oriented environment where patients truly come first. Our office always believes in giving back; on a yearly basis,Dr. Kimia and Cristina accompany UCLA students on avolunteer dental tripto remote, underprivileged and disaster stricken areas around the world in order to educate and provide access to care. This year's trip was to remote villages of the Dominican Republic closer to the Haitian border.

This is a great place that takes great care of the patients, explains procedures well and that I recommend to everyone Dr Kimia is very patient and is great especially with patients with anxiety on the chair They are also very respectful of Covid guidelines so you can feel safe there

Dr. Kimia and his staff are a pleasure to visit... everyone is so nice and Dr. Kimia is an excellent dentist. He literally explains everything as he does it and truly cares about the patient's comfort. I can honestly say they make a typically less than enjoyable experience, easy and non stressful. I highly recommend Dr. Kimia, and everyone that supports him in his office. They are simply great!

Everybody at this dentistry is absolutely fantastic. You are welcomed with a friendly staff that are determined to help you get your teeth where they need to be . If you are having issues financially ask about their "CareCredit" Their Financial plans are great.

A dental experience that is second to none! Dr. Kimia is professional, caring, and explains every thing he does step by step. I had a few cavities that needed filling (probably because I love donuts), and he made sure to take care of me and walk me through everything step by step. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

I've been coming here ever since I was a kid, and it has always been the best place to go. Their number one priority is making you feel comfortable, and they're the only dentist I know who doesn't try to get more money out of you by offering unnecessary procedures. They care about the health of your mouth and I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I want to start this review that by saying that I rarely take the time to write reviews, and only do so when I feel that my experience was truly magnificent and worth sharing with others. I am (or rather, used to be) terrified of going to the dentist, and haven't been to one in five years for that reason. I have gone to countless dentists who have tried to console this fear in the past, but none have been successful. That was until I made the decision to come to Dr. Kimia's office. Never have I felt so at ease in any professional care setting. Everyone in this office is focused on providing the best experience possible. Christina was kind enough to explain every step of what she was doing, and made sure that every X-Ray was taken in absolute comfort. She was very friendly and made it obvious how she truly enjoyed her work and patients. I continued to get a cleaning with Loretta, which was equally amazing. She was extremely gentle, yet made sure to make my teeth sparkle, getting every last piece of tartar and plaque out. I have never felt my teeth so clean and refreshed. I'm even excited for my next cleaning! Finally, I was seen my Dr. Kimia- who is without a single doubt the best doctor or dentist I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. He made sure to explain everything in detail and made me comfortable every step of the way. He educated me on any topic that I was unsure about, using models and other methods throughout our conversation. He made it clear that his priority was my wellbeing, even taking the time to discuss many things I can do at home to keep my oral hygiene at its best. All I can say is that I'm never going anywhere else for my dental needs, the team at Kimia Family Dentistry has me covered!

I love this dentist office. As a kid I hated going to the dentist office but not because of pain but because of the service being a pain. Because of that experience I never went to the dentist office again. Finally though after having benefits as an adult I decided it was time to go just to make sure everything is alright. I had a read. nothing but great reviews for this office, and let me tell you the reviews live up to the expectation and service was phenomenal.

I have been a patient for 29 years, referred by a friend who is in the industry when he learned I was a dentalphobic. He assured me I would like Dr. Lipp. Well, he was wrong. I did not like him. I LOVED HIM. I felt at ease, was always cared for well by him and all the staff. More recently another dentist has come to provide the same outstanding care I have known for years. He is Dr. Kimia. He also has a warm, kind approach and cared for me when I had a dental emergency. I was pretty scared and he got me through it, along with Dr. Lorenz, their periodontist, who even called me the night of my oral surgery to check up on me. You can't ask for more than that.
