Dr. Kim Chapman has owned and operated a private, solo dental practice for 19 years since being granted her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, she completed 2 years of graduate work in Neurobiology and Molecular Biology at the University of Washington. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology, a minor in Chemistry, and a minor in Music Performance. She graduated magna cum laude from Seattle Pacific University, and prior to that attended Graceland University in Lamoni, IA for 3 years in pursuit of her Bachelors of Biology degree. At Graceland, she ran Womens Cross Country and Track, was a Student Senator, a member of the Gadet dance team, and a founding member and co-president of the Graceland Science Club. She was born and raised in Colorado, and loves living in the west.
Since receiving her doctorate, shes continued to stay informed of the latest dental techniques and scientific research through respected continuing education leaders and study clubs such as the Kois Institute, The Pankey Institute, The Seattle Study Club, Academy of General Dentistry, Implants Live Northwest, and others.
My husband Chad Robbs and I have made Big Sky our permanent residence, and were married in 2016 at Big Skys picturesque Soldiers Chapel. We love the ease being able to hop on a bike to get around Big Sky in the warmer months for our commute into the office, Caliber Coffee, or the Hungry Moose, and in the winter only being minutes from a chairlift or cross country trail. I enjoy gardening, travel, music, skiing, biking, healthy cooking and fitness, sewing, and planning the next adventure race or rocking climbing trip.

I saw this dentist years ago. She is very thorough in her approach, which I appreciate. I actually intended to resume care at this practice but was turned off after dealing with scheduling. They declined scheduling my husband and me on the same day because of the potential time lost if we both no-showed (thanks for having faith that we'd just show up). I see the logic, but what happened to customer service? I clarified with "so you won't schedule us the same day because it is inconvenient for you" to which the reply was yes with the same explanation. Unfortunately, as a working mother with limited availability on dental work days, it is very inconvenient for me to take two days off work just so my husband and I can each have separate appts and our child has care. Very disappointed to say the least. I'll be seeking care elsewhere.

Warning: this dental office will try to suck out every last penny from you. Going in for cleanings every 6 months is not enough for Dr Chapman. You will have cleanings every 3 months, need all your fillings replaced, all the crowns replaced, get a mouthguard, and bleach all your teeth while you're at it. It's VERY expensive to go to this dentist but you're not just paying in cost, time, but also in having to get the work redone. It's a beautiful office in a beautiful building but if you can, go anywhere else. She seriously has weird control issues and gets frustrated during procedures VERY EASILY-I don't like tools/cotton thrown on me. She is not an ethical dentist and you'll notice that her staff is turned over ALL THE TIME! I wish I never went there, good luck!
