Dr. Clarkson is pleased to be back in Ann Arbor where she has strong ties to the community. She graduated dental school from the University of Michigan and her husband, Jim, has practiced veterinary medicine for 25 years at Westarbor Animal Hospital where he specializes in dentistry. They have 2 grown sons who call their parents 'dental geeks'. When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her 2 grandsons, traveling and refinishing and upholstering furniture.
Dr Clarkson has received extensive training in TMJ disorders and complex cases. She enjoys working with all age groups and believes that being 'the patient' is not easy and understanding each individual and their needs and concerns is paramount. She finds it gratifying the she can impact lives and improve overall health. Her experience includes root canals, extractions, dentures, and partials including implant retained dentures and partials. She does the majority of the lab work on dentures including setting teeth to attain the optimum esthetics and function.

Dr. Karey has retired and Dr. Mallory has taken on her patients at the same location. Dr. Mallory and dental hygienist, Diana, are both very friendly, compassionate, professional and technically expert in the care of their dental patients. Oh, and very gentle!!!!!!

Everyone at Michigan Mainstreet Dentistry - Ann Arbor is friendly and professional! This visit I met Kendra, the new Dental Hygienist, who did a great job cleaning my teeth and assuring gums are healthy/maintained. Dr. Clarkson performed my checkup and took the extra time to check a dental implant to adjust and assure optimum performance. This is the kind of attention to detail everyone at MMD shows in patient care. They're the best!

I was looking for a new dentist and friend recommended Michigan Main Street Dentistry Ann Arbor (specifically, Dr. Clarkson). It is very important to me that my healthcare professionals engage in a dialog with me rather than just telling me what's going to happen. In particular, I'm concerned about mercury in amalgams and the potential health effects they might have. With a broken tooth that had a very large amalgam filling from many years ago, I knew that they would be having to get that stuff out of there. They were very receptive and accommodating of my concerns. The actual removal of the filling and subsequent fitting with a temporary crown was fast, efficient and painless.

I have had several crowns and a bridge done by Dr. Karey and have had periodontal problems as well. I have always felt extremely well cared for, as a person and as a patient. Dr Karey and her complete staff are wonderful to work with and do excellent work. I recommend her highly with no reservations.

Best dentist I've been to! I was a new patient and found them with a Google search. All of the staff were so kind, and they explained everything as they went, answered all questions, and were just generally awesome. Everyone was very personable and did a great job with cleaning, X-rays, and everything else.

I just went here for the first time as a new patient. I needed a new dentist as I moved recently. I was in college and neglected my dental care. It had been a few years since I had seen a dentist. They were very nice to me. There was no pressure to do anything and they didn't bully me about not coming for so long. They were very vocal about what they were doing, next steps and why they were doing things. I think I have slight dental anxiety but I felt rather at ease here. I would recommend to a friend.

Dr. Karey and hygienist Maria are exceptional. They are kind and personable, as well as knowledgeable and conscientious about how me and my daughter's other health issues interact with dental health. I highly recommend this practice.

For 10 years I've been going to this practice, and have gotten wonderful dental care with Dr. Karey and her team, especially hygienests Keisha and Maria and Jennifer at the front desk. I've had regular cleanings, fillings, crowns, you name it. Everyone there is very professional. Dr. Karey really takes the time to listen and help me understand why a procedure is needed and whether it is urgent or can wait. She is great at communicating with her patients and does wonderful dental work. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I have been going to this clinic for years, and I have had A LOT of dental work! They are always wonderful, from the friendly reception desk staff to the hygienists, dental assistants, and dentists. I enjoy an excuse to get right in the thick of downtown for my appointments. They validate your parking, and the parking structure is right across the street. I have always received top notch dental care at this office.
