I received my D.D.S. degree from Northwestern University Dental School and have been in private practice in the Central Coast area for over 23 years. I continue my education and keep up-to-date with changes in dentistry by attending continuing education courses in cosmetic and general dentistry and through my membership in the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Monterey Bay Dental Society (MBDS). I have been nominated multiple times for excellence in cosmetic and general dentistry by America 's Top Dentistry consumer 's Research Council of America. In addition, United Concordia Insurance recognized us for 'Outstanding Service' as a participating dental office since 2006.
My office offers comprehensive treatment in all aspects of adult and pediatric general dentistry, including dental hygiene, fillings, crowns, and emergency dentistry. In addition, I specialize in cosmetic dentistry including Dental Implants, Bonding, Veneers, and Whitening. My practice philosophy focuses on excellent dental care utilizing the latest techniques and materials in a comfortable and professional setting. I strive to listen to my patients' concerns and problems while creating an office environment that is both comfortable and professional. I value your time as if it were my own, and you will be seen promptly at your appointed time.
Besides my passion for dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my wife, children, Mochi, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Honey, a Maltipoo. I invite you and your family to come to visit our office and allow us to help you with any of your dental needs.

I cannot say enough awful things about this dentist and office. Your money is their first priority. For my first (and last) visit they cleaned my lower arch only and billed it in full. No periodontal work etc. They expect me to pay for a full cleaning out of pocket for them to clean the upper arch. They refuse to work with me. No thanks, I will never return. Poor bedside manner as well. Highly recommend you visit ANY other dental office. *UPDATE* Of course I got a second opinion. Dentist said I have one small cavity which he would expect following a pregnancy. I mentioned that at my most recent evaluation Dr Kim said I needed 12 cavities filled. New dentist was shocked and said he had three teeth he planned to monitor but had no idea what 12 Dr Kim could possibly be talking about.

THIS is the is the Dental Office I look for every time I move. I move often as my partner is in the Air force. The Office accepts Tricare Prime and has a small town vibe with down to earth, and professional staff. I needed Dr Kim to complete some paperwork for an move overseas. Barbra facilitated a smooth transition from my previous office to their office. I had Jill as a hygienist and was extremely pleased wither her attention to detail and her ability to read that I was interested in what was going on. Mostly, Jill changed my life, for the best, when she managed to clean up some flash from a filling I had received at a different dental office that that had been bothering me for 6 months. Dr Kim himself was pleasant and to the point, which I appreciate. This is my Monterrey Dentist.
