I always wanted to be a dentist. As a child I loved science, working with my hands, and building things, especially models of the human body.I worked my way through college and was a Financial Consultant and Stockbroker for eight years before deciding that I need to pursue my childhood dream. I re-enrolled, completed the prerequisite courses, and was blessed to be accepted to dental school. It was the smartest decision Ive ever made!
I love my patients and respect who they are on an individual basis. Each person brings unique experiences, passions, and dreams to our office. I thrive on our conversations and what I learn from patients; I think my patients make me a better dentist and a better person. I look forward to coming to the office each morning, knowing my day will be filled with fascinating exchanges as I help each patient achieve a healthier and happier smile.
Right now is, I think, the best time to be practicing dentistry. Incredible advancements in technique, materials, and technology all mean better experiences and results for patients. I want those in my care to look forward to visits and to have beautifully healthy, confident smiles, so I take many continuing education courses.
Im a member of the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry and am working on my Fellowship with them. Additionally, I take courses locally, regionally, and nationally, learning from leading researchers and practitioners in oral healthcare.
Anita and I share a passion for helping others. She donates a lot of time and effort to feed the homeless in our area and I offer free dental care to those in need through the Southern Baptist Mobile Dental Unit.
This community has supported my family and me so well and I love giving back. A lot of medical professionals travel overseas to help those in need, which is awesome, but I prefer to help people locally. I truly think thats my calling.
Dr. DAiuto graduated from Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1981 and moved to Fort Meyers that same year. After a brief associateship he realized the growth potential in the Orlando area and started his own private practice in 1982 in Longwood Florida. His previous private practice emphasized restorative and cosmetic dentistry which he will bring to our practice at Kilman Dental. He moved to New Smyrna Beach Florida four years ago and enjoys boating and fishing. Dr. DAiuto also has two children and four grandchildren.
Dr. DAiuto has contributed to the growth and leadership of Dentistry as a Health Care Professional throughout his career with long involvements. Dr. DAiuto has received some of Dentistrys highest honors for his contributions including, Dentist of the Year by the Florida Dental Associations, Young Dentist leadership award from the American Dental Association. Dr. DAiuto has served as President of the Florida Dental association and President of the Florida Dental Health Foundation.
Dr. Anja M. Erwin was born and raised in Longwood, Florida. She attended Stetson University, where she received her Bachelors degree in Biology and played on their Division I Womens Tennis Team. After volunteering alongside a dentist on a mission trip in Honduras, Dr. Erwin realized her interest in dentistry and began pursuing her dream. Dr. Erwin earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Erwin was involved with the American Student Dental Association, and she attended and helped organize two mission trips to serve the dental needs of Palin, Guatemala. She was a recipient of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Ethics Award, where she was nominated by peers and faculty to represent the class in professionalism and dental ethics. Dr. Erwin is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the prestigous Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Erwin grew up going to New Smyrna Beach, and she is excited to call it home. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickle ball, disc golf, hiking, biking, and many other outdoor activities. She also enjoys travel, particularly to visit family in Germany.
Our patients are some of the best people in the world. Its a pleasure to get to know each person and learn whats important to them. I am especially passionate about helping people with dental anxiety: when someone realizes a visit here is painless and tells us theyre looking forward to coming back, Im thrilled!
I work in the clinic, making sure patients are comfortable in the chair, preparing them to see the doctor, and explaining what well be doing. I stay chairside, assisting the doctor with the procedure and at the end answer questions and offer homecare instructions.
I love being part of a team that changes peoples lives. Whether were helping people smile confidently, relieving pain, or making it possible to comfortably chew, were improving the persons quality of life. Theres nothing more rewarding than knowing youve touched someones life and made a difference.
I perform a variety of tasks in the clinic, always focused on patient comfort and making sure everything goes smoothly. In addition to assisting the doctors with fillings, crowns, and extractions, I take impressions and X-rays. I also offer patient education and encouragement.
I was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach. I'm privileged to be able to work in the town i grew up in. I followed in my family's foot steps. My grandfather, Dr. Grabiak, was a dentist in New Smyrna Beach. My mother, Brenda,was his hygienist. I knew Ialways wanted to be in a career that help people with their smiles.
As a hygienist Ilove to work with each one of my patients individually to help them keep up with or improve their oral health. Along with the cleanings Ialso focus on diet, nutrition and go over the many dental products and tools available to help my patients. When I'm not working I'm either at the beach, at Crossfit, traveling ,or spending time with my family, friends, and English bulldog, Cora.
I am a native to Florida who wasborn and raised in DeLand. Now living and loving NSB for the last 6 years. I am the newest member of Kilman Dental and it has been a woderful transistion. I am so proud to be a part of such and amazing team.

I have two daughters who live in Philadelphia, and I enjoy visiting them when I can. I moved from New Jersey to Florida about a year ago, mostly because of the outdoors and all the fishing opportunities!
