Dr. Audra Kiefer is a Board Certified Orthodontist and Pennsylvania native who became fascinated with wearing braces as a young orthodontic patient. She knew that pursuing a career in orthodontics would allow her to fulfill her dream of creating healthy smiles. It is her genuine care and concern for her patients and their families that makes her special.

Dr. Kiefer is a 1994 graduate of Pittston Area High School where she was the Valedictorian of her graduating class and the Drum Major of the awarding winning Marching Patriots. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Villanova University, where she met her future husband, Mark who was a four-year starting placekicker on the football team, an Academic All-American, and graduated as Villanovas all time leading scorer. While in college, Dr. Kiefer was active in many campus and nationwide volunteer projects, played in the University Band and had the opportunity to perform in venues like Radio City Music Hall, the NCAA March Madness basketball tournaments and countless campus events.

After graduating from Villanova, Dr. Kiefer completed her dental school education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia where she finished in the top 3% in her class and earned a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2002. She graduated summa cum laude and was also inducted into the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the Matthew Cryer Honor Society and was honored with the American Association of Women Dentists Award.

Dr. Kiefer strengthened her professional education by completing a yearlong residency in general dentistry at Abington Memorial Hospital where she was exposed to dentistry in a private practice setting, trauma and emergent dental care and operating room dentistry, including corrective jaw surgery. Private practice was her home for several years after general practice residency in Delaware County, PA.

After a rigorous application process, Dr. Kiefer interviewed and was accepted to the Orthodontic Residency Program at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. For three years, Dr. Kiefer was trained at Einstein, the first hospital based orthodontic program in the country, where she served as Chief Resident in her second year and represented the hospital in the Charley Schultz Resident Scholars Program at the national orthodontic meeting in 2007.

Dr. Kiefer seeks continuing educational opportunities that will allow her to make the best clinical decisions for her patents and to create success in even the most challenging situations. She routinely studies peer reviewed journals that pertain directly to the specialty of orthodontics, attends local and national orthodontic meetings to keep current with emerging techniques, and interacts with colleagues in their respective specialties of dentistry to explore her understanding of complex, multi-disciplinary orthodontic problems.

Dr. Kiefer is an attending faculty member at the Alan J. Borislow Division of Orthodontics at theAlbert Einstein Medical CenterinPhiladelphia where she spends educational time with dentists who are training to become orthodontists. Dr. Kiefer focuses her teaching time on clinical case review, practicing the preparation of cases for the American Board of Orthodontics Board Certification program, and evaluating professional opportunities for the residents as they prepare for graduation. She considers this time to be of paramount importance to the future of the specialty of orthodontics.

Growing up in the northeastern region of the state, Dr. Kiefer has lived in Pennsylvania her entire life and currently makes Lehigh Valley her home. Dr. Kiefer is very family oriented, loves to go for long walks on the trails near her home and enjoys creative writing. When she has a few moments to herself, she loves settling in with a good book, exercising, and learning new things. Dr. Kiefer and her husband live in the Lehigh Valley with their two young children, Anderson and Cole.

Because having braces was so rewarding for Dr. Kiefer as a child, she considers orthodontic treatment extremely valuable to overall dental health as well as self-esteem. She looks forward to meeting you and is devoted to making your orthodontic experience a positive one.

Annie studies at Lehigh University and plans to continue her education when she graduates. She wants to become an orthodontist! You will find Annie seating patients, performing sterilization throughout the office, and smiling wherever she goes.

Dayanne joined Kiefer Family Orthodontics with nearly seven years of experience as a chairside assistant. As a patient, she has experienced treatment with braces and Invisalign clear aligners and loves to provide help from a patient point of view! She enjoys developing relationships with patients and helping them gain confidence in themselves as throughout their orthodontic journey.

When Kates not in the office, shes working on a marketing degree and enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her husband and two daughters. One day, Kate dreams of becoming a Disney Princess, and we are all very ready for that!

Kayla welcomes everyone with a smile. Shes often the cheerful voice you hear on the phone when you call to schedule or update insurance information. She is a graduate of The Lehigh School of Dental Assisting. Kayla also helps to create the beautiful decorations and KFO Creation Station Activities for families to enjoy.

When Kayla is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her hubby, Stephen, their son, Dean, being with family, and going to the beach. Kayla is thrilled to be a part of our team and to be a part of your smile story!

Melissa loves to help patients have a successful orthodontic journey from the day they walk through our doors until the day their treatment is complete. She is always eager to help with coordinating care as part of her work as a chairside assistant. She even uses her natural tech savvy to keep our office workflows efficient and more importantly, fun!

As a patient, Melissa uses her past experiences wearing braces and Invisalign clear aligners to answer many questions patients have about their own treatment, a nice personal touch. When Melissa is not in the office, she loves spending time with her family, and volunteering in a Bible educational work focusing on those who communicate with American Sign Language.

Reillys favorite thing is to make people smile. Thats why she loves working at Kiefer Family Orthodontics so much! Having experienced braces and Invisalign treatment herself, she is always ready to answer questions or offer personal insight from a patients perspective. You can find Reilly greeting patients at the front desk, taking records, and performing sterilization in the office.

Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys cooking, baking, working out, going to concerts, and being with family and friends. Her favorite job is being a mom and getting to spend free time with her daughter and her husband.

Sue started her career in the dental field in 1985, spending the majority of her time as a registered dental hygienist. She is also a registered public health dental hygiene practitioner where she spent 10 years with the Greater Lehigh Valley Oral Health Partnership working in a school-based sealant program. Her devotion to oral health is admirable and her extensive experience makes her a true asset to our practice.

You will notice right away how warm and friendly Sue is. She always has a smile on her face. You will feel completely comfortable talking with her about your orthodontic treatment and she will help guide you in your journey with great care. In fact, Sue and her husband Randy, have two grown children, her daughter Serena lives in Hawaii and her son Clint is married and lives in Philadelphia. Both of their children completed orthodontic treatment and this experience gives Sue the ability to empathize with you as a parent of children who had braces.

Tina joins Dr. Kiefer with twenty years of orthodontic experience in many aspects of orthodontic practice. A graduate of The Lehigh Valley School of Dental Assisting, you will find her big smile, calm confidence, and eager personality refreshing. She works side by side with Dr. Kiefer as a chairside assistant and especially loves watching her patients transform as they finish their orthodontic care.

When not in the office, you will find Tina spending time with her family including her husband, son, and three young grandchildren who she absolutely adores. She also loves to travel and cant wait to go back to Disney World.
