Dr. Hussam Gharraph Graduated from Loma Linda University, California in 2003; He worked for seven years as a General Dentist. He completed his Pediatric Dental residency in 2013 and received his certificate from Lutheran Medical Center Massachusetts.
He received the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award honoring the top three percent scores of the May 2013 Qualifying Examination for Board Certification. He earned his Pediatric Dentist Diplomat, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2014.
He is married to Dr. Noha Gharraph who is also a Pediatric Dentist Diplomat, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He has two Kids; Yusuf 9 years old and Salma 5 years old. He enjoys outdoors activities with his son and daughter through boy and girl scouts. He enjoys traveling, camping, reading, soccer, and swimming.
An admitted science geek, Dr. Issa loves the ever-evolving field of orthodontics and technology that represents the state-of-the-art care that his practice is known for. When hes not chair-side with patients, youll find Dr. Issa still devoted to his orthodontic specialty. Whether hes at his computer reviewing a SureSmile or Invisalign treatment plan, or reviewing the latest journal articles and courses, Dr. Issa believes its his responsibility to stay on top of the latest ways to provide great treatment to his patients.
Dr. Issa was born in Dover New Hampshire, and then lived alternatively between the US and Egypt as he was growing up. After graduating with honors and a BS in Dental Surgery from Cairo University, he completed a General Dentistry Residency at Cairo University Hospital.
Dr. Issa then returned stateside to further his dental education at The University of Minnesota School of Dental Medicine. There he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Master of Science and completed a Graduate Residency in Dentistry before entering and then completing the Orthodontic Residency Program for his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. This educational path that included multiple residencies provides Dr. Issa a strong foundation that he uses daily in his patients orthodontic treatment and gives him particular insight when managing multi-disciplinary cases with general dentists and other specialists. Dr. Issa has completed his certification by the American Board of Orthodontists. He is currently serving as the President of the Texas Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Issa, his wife (whos also a dentist) and their two sons love exploring their new home state, taking advantage of parks, restaurants and sports activities. The wide variety of things to do and places to go are some of the reasons they chose to move to Plano from Minnesota. (Well, it may have had a little bit to do with the weather) Dr. Issa is also an athlete in his down-time; soccer, tennis and squash are all favorite sports that suit his high-energy personality.
Hailing from New York, Dr. Hasan Zia is a board certified dentist anesthesiologist and specializes in providing sedation and anesthesia to pediatric, adult and special needs patients. He is a graduate of University at Buffalo school of dental medicine and after finishing pursued a three-year residency in Anesthesiology at Stony Brook University hospital and Northport VA Medical center treating patients of all ages and complexities both in the hospital and private office setting. During this time, he further developed his skills on a cleft lip surgery mission trip to Sudan, where he provided anesthesia to children of all ages undergoing reparative surgery. He discovered that he was a Texan at heart after marrying his wife, a DFW native, in 2014, and is excited to be part of North Texas community. Dr. Zia is a certified provider of ACLS and PALS and is dedicated to providing safe, quality anesthesia services in the comfort of your outpatient dental/oral surgery office. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, biking, planning road trips and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

Kidzania was the only place to take care of my daughter. My girl is nonverbal and autistic and we have been turned away from several dentists. Ms. Lisa was amazing and so patient with my girl. I very much appreciate the care you gave her. Thank you so much!

The best!..Dr.Sam and his crew are definitely an outstanding group! Thank you all so much for helping my daughter with her dental needs.She had a great experience compared to her dental trip (different Dr)back in February .Oh boy,i didn't think I would or could ever get her back into see another Dentist after that ordeal...Well guess what after the visit here with Dr.Sam and the crew, she wants to make him her Dentist. So any parents looking for a great place to take your children, I would recommend you bringing them to see Dr.Sam! TY...

Absolutely Phenomenal! The staff was so amazing and welcoming! It was my boys first trip to the dentist and I was so nervous. Ms Lisa was awesome! She made both of my boys feel so comfortable. Thank you to the entire staff for the smiles, stickers, and balloons! 5 stars!

The place is well organized with professionals. Customer service is excellent. I will recommend Kidzania to friends. Ms. Aseel, who performed my three kids checkup, was SO NICE and very professional. I will definitely go to this clinic again.

This is how excited we are EVERY time to go to Kidzania we love it so much, and Dr. Sam's staff is on point! Everyone is super patient with my sweet girl! Definitely would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new pediatric dental office!

The Kidzania team is wonderful! The assistants are great with the kids and so patient and caring. You can see how much they care about our tiny humans. Dr. Sam is especially great. When asking questions he goes into detail, such in a way that parents are able to fully understand all treatment, procedures, and diagnosis.

My kids really loved this place, past dentists they have been to did not give them the attention that we had here. My son had 2 crowns put in before this picture and past places had not been able to do any work on my kids before in office. We definitely will be coming back for checkups. Special thanks to Lisa, she made my daughter feel at ease and shes normally a ball of nerves.

The dentist and his staff provide satisfactory dental services. However, I feel the billing policies of the practice place undue burden to the customer. I have dental benefits on my medical insurance which require a copay for exams. However, I also have a separate comprehensive dental plan that covers exams 100% and covers that copay. The office filed claims on both policies and was successfully paid the copay and all fees related to preventive services. However, they are now requiring me to pay the copay upfront for my 3 three children. I explained that I had never had to do that before (in 13 year of having these plans) and also they were paid for that copay by my dental insurance for the last visit. They stated that had issues with some patients insurance and now require all patients to pay it upfront. I even called my insurances and they didn't understand why they insisted on requiring upfront. Ultimately, I've decided to no longer use this practice. I don't want to have the undue burden of paying $90 in copay fees and then have to wait and follow up to get reimbursed after the dentist gets his money from my insurance.

I do not recommend this dental office. We saw Dr. Sam on multiple occasions and he gets visibly frustrated if you ask any questions about your child's treatment plan. We chose this office initially because they indicated they allowed parents to accompany their child during the entire visit but that is not the case. Dr. Sam and his staff do not want to answer questions, do not want to make sure the child is comfortable, and definitely do not want to include the parents in the process. Dr. Sam would prefer to take your child, do whatever he wants to their teeth, and then tell you about it after if he feels like it. The parent policy is also not applied equally: some parents can accompany their child and some cannot. He also double books appointments and tries to multitask visits which probably explains why he barely has time to answer questions or ease concerns. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS OFFICE!
