John Barnett Jr., Arlene Barnett, Arthur Williams, Melissa Fitzwater and their team are dedicated to providing high-quality pediatric dental care in a loving, caring manner at an affordable price. Our Dallas Fort Worth area pediatric dental practice uses the latest advances in dental technology, like in-office and out-patient sedation, to give patients the smile they deserve.
Dr. John L. Barnett, Jr. began his practice of Pediatric Dentistry in 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana. While in New Orleans, Dr. Barnett was very active in organized dentistry: A member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association and the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Barnett has served as President of the Pelican State Dental Association, President of the Louisiana Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Chairman of the Medicaid Task Force for the Louisiana Dental Association. Dr. Barnett also worked at the LSU School of Dentistry, for over ten years, as an Associate Professor.
After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005, Dr. Barnett moved back to his childhood home of Fort Worth, Texas and opened Kids Stop Dental Care in 2007. Dr. Barnetts love of art and music can be seen and heard throughout the colorful new dental facility. Dr. Barnett is committed to his health through jogging, weight training, nutrition and yoga. Dr. Barnett has completed six marathons in his running career.

Very unprofessional. Scheduled both childrens appointments in August for November. Receive a call October 5th they left a voicemail stating they wanted to offer an earlier date. Said nothing about having to reschedule due to the dentist not being there. So I guess we were just going to show up on the appointment date with no appointment . If you choose to use this facility make sure YOU call to confirm. I did call and you all didn't offer anything except we called to reschedule and that didn't happen. So why call now ? I did call! You didn't make anything right. I have the voice mail... coach your front desk people better.

I had used this dentist from the time my kids started getting teeth till about the age of 3 and 4. I stopped going because their mom had graduated from TCU. found a place closer to home. 1st new dentist always just flossed their teeth and sent them on their way. 2 dentist brushed their teeth and sent them on their way. 3rd dentist flossed and brushed threw on some fluoride. This was a 6 year gap from leaving kids stop. I should have never left kids stop. I'll tell you the dentist is surgical when inspecting their teeth. He is the only one that truly cares about these kids teeth. He has done wonderful work. I couldn't be more pleased. For those that get frustrated just talk to him and stay patient. Trust me when I say this is the best place to bring your kids. And the very best place out there for the cost also. 5 stars

My daughter has been going to Kidstop Dental since she were 2 and now she is 14...we were referred to Dr. Barnett's office by another office and it was the best thing they could have done..when my niece was old enough to go we brought her here as well..I will tell anyone that this office is the best..The whole Staff(Dr's and Assistants) are very professional and friendly...they treat everyone with the utmost respect..regardless of how many questions you may ask them... they answer each of them with a smile every time..When its your child's turn to see the dentist..the doctor always approaches your child with joy in his voice and a smile on his face to do away with any fear your child may and talks with your making him/her feel just as important..because its about your child not about you and this office lets your child know that.. and I love that about Kidstop Dental. I will continue to tell everyone about this office even after my daughter is not old enough to come anymore ..

My daughter has been coming to this doctor's office and she was about 1 years old now she is 14 and my other children fell into place they also this office has so much culture and love I just love it it's a great atmosphere

Took my nephew to see what was going on with his mouth because he had been complaining that it hurt. They claimed they did and x-ray and they didn't see an cavity or anything wrong. Took him to another dentist three days later because he was still complaining and he had an abscess on his gum from a filing that they had done incorrectly. Don't waste your time going.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. They help my kids feel comfortable. The dentist always helps my children understand what is happening and explains good dental hygiene on a level they can understand.

My daughter had a procedure scheduled back in April which was rescheduled due to Covid. This office always has appointments more than 30 days out. They rescheduled her for July. I received a call that day saying the Doctor had an emergency and they would have to reschedule again. Here we are on the day of surgery and I receive a call 10 minutes before the appointment saying the Doctor had an emergency. How ironic that they would use the same excuse from July. This was so unprofessional and not good for business especially when you're dealing with children. The receptionist offered to reschedule again and I told her that wouldn't be necessary because I'll just find a more professional dentist.

My kids and I love it here. The staff is always friendly and professional! Everyone, especially Dr. Williams, makes my boys feel at ease and like family. We've been going for almost 10 years and and each encounter has always been perfect!

My two boys have been coming to Kids Stop for a while now, and I absolutely love the Dr's. and the staff. The staff are very friendly and so nice. Dr. Barnett is amazing he listens to all my concerns and answers any question that I may have. I highly recommend kids stop. Very kid friendly. The Best choice that I could have ever made bringing my children to Kids Stop.

I honestly don't understand how this business has so many good reviews. I guess if you're not outspoken and just agree to everything and don't ask questions, than this is the place for you. Well, that is not me. Not only is bedside manner horrible but the doctor seems to have no clue how to deal with children. Please do your research and go elsewhere.
