Dr. Sierra is a Tampa native who graduated from The University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Natural Sciences and Master of Science in Public Health. He earned Doctor of Dental Medicine from The University of Florida College of Dentistry with awards in pediatrics. Following dental school, he completed residency training in pediatric dentistry at University of FloridaShands Hospital. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sierra is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, International Affiliation of Tongue-Tie Professionals, and American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. He has served as President of Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Florida Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association.
Dr. Sierra is on the clinical faculty at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. He is an author and has made national presentations in the dental care of the child with facial differences. He has been involved in family-centered care and oral health care for children with special needs for over 20 years.
Dr. Mia Kwon is originally from Seoul, South Korea. When she was 14, she moved to California to study abroad by herself. After high school, she decided to continue her education in the U.S. because she enjoyed being here so much. In 2011, she received her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of WisconsinMadison. In 2015, she received her D.M.D. degree with cum laude from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. In dental school, she was actively involved in community based dental volunteer clinics, health fairs, and school based oral hygiene education programs. During this time, she found her passion for interacting and treating young children and decided to devote her career to pediatrics. She received her certificate of advanced education in pediatric dentistry from NYU Langone Hospitals Florida in June 2018. During her time in residency, she fell in love with the sunshine state and after she graduated she decided to make Florida her permanent home. Dr. Kwon is a board certified pediatric dentist.
Outside of work, Dr. Kwon enjoys cooking and baking, which allows her to continue to express the same creativity and dexterity she uses in her dental practice. She is also passionate about music. She enjoys playing the piano and violin, as she has done since ages 5 and 12, respectively. Her favorite part of the day is singing Disney songs with her patients.

Dr. Sierra do the lip and tongue tie on both of my kids, it was perfect. Currently I drive almost an hour and a half for my kids appointment on Tampa office. I will never change it. Highly recommend.

Our newborn had a tongue tie and after searching around and hearing so many amazing things about this practice for tongue tie revisions, we decided to move forward. When we called the first time there was a 5 minute wait for the phone to be answered. I had to call back a couple times before getting through. Once I got through, the scheduling process was pretty flawless. Once coming in for the procedure, we waited 1.5 hours to be seen. Being in the dental field, I was trying to be understanding. One of the girls up front offered for us to be seen with only mom because they didn't have a room available for us. Really? We didn't walk in. We drove two hours for a scheduled appointment. I kindly declined, explaining that my husband took off work to be here too. 1 minute later they found a room for us. They took us back into a room that looked like someone's office. Waited another 30 mins. The lady that came in and asked us questions about what was going on was professional. After that Dr. Sierra came in and did a quick consultation. He was warm and friendly but didn't go into depth of pros or cons. He seemed a bit rushed. It's a good thing we did our own research before coming in. The Awesome part is they offer same day treatment. Downside is the financial presentation part needs work. The lady came looking very unprofessional. She didn't introduce herself and just flopped down in a chair and said "this procedure is $500 and we don't do payment plans (we didn't ask for one), how do you wanna pay? We take credit card or cash only." After payment they took our newborn baby back. Thankfully, that part was very quick. All in all, I wouldn't say this was the best office I've been to (after hearing exceptional reviews quite disappointing).

Very kind and patient kids pediatric dentistry! Liz and Sammie were truly wonderful, very gentle, friendly, and calm. Dr. Sierra was fun and upbeat and made our son feel excited about the dentist. Great job taking care of kiddo and parents!

We had a very great experience at kids Smile w/ Dr. Sierra! All of the staff very helpful and accommodating for my sons special needs, Jayla and Luis were super Awesome! They made sure my kid got a good cleaning and x-rays (I was worried we wouldn't be able to get them) but they made it happen. This was our best experience yet they deserve 5 stars! My sons teeth are white again :)

Due to all the suggestions about Dr. Sierra we went with them and I was massively disappointed. Our 4yr old had to be sedated as she had 4 cavities and she came out of the surgery with almost TEN interventions. Her molars are all metal capped, all front four teeth were worked on and they put fillings all over them to shape them which all fell off and now she has tiny rice size front teeth, one broke off and the cavitiy on the front one is still there. VERY frustrated and disappointed. She has been so insecure about herself since. This is not okay.

The best child dentist there is he is very gentle and firm what needs to be done is what he does my special needs son had to have all his baby teeth pulled and he has no arms or legs so he did them 3 at a time in his office because the hospital had no way to put him under and be able to monitor his blood pressure.
