Dr. Tannaz Poursaeidcompleted her pediatric dentistry specialty in 1996 at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She provides your children with individualized care and the most advanced technology to ensure the highest quality of care. She has hospital privileges at two local hospitals where she performs advanced pediatric dentistry procedures under general anesthesia. She is an active member of several professional societies including American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Maryland Pediatric Dental Society. She speaks English, French, and Farsi fluently.
It is important to remember that your dental insurance policy is an agreement between you and the insurance company. We are only a third party to this agreement. Our office will prepare and submit the necessary claim forms for these benefits. However, any portion not covered by your insurance company is due at the time of service.
Our practice also offers third party financing through CareCredit and Chase Health Advantage. These financial groups offer a monthly payment plan with no annual fees. You can charge 100% of the treatment costs with it and make flexible monthly payments over time. I have been taking my kids here for 7+ years, never once had a problem with them and I absolutely loved them up until recently. The way the ladies at the front spoke to me when I called to ask about services my children needed/asked to leave a message for the doctor and even worse the way the doctor spoke to me. I am still in disbelief the way they all handled the whole situation. The doctor got very nasty, very disrespectful, unprofessional, continuously spoke over top of me and refused to do dental work on my son because I told her I was unhappy with how she and her front desk staff had acted. I would never return to them again and most definitely wouldn't refer anyone to them either. I am so disappointed in this practice as a whole,

The only thing that bothered me was the Dentist mentioning I haven't been there in 18 months, like I'm a bad parent. The world was on lock down from Covid!!! That's the only time my child missed a 6 month check-up!

The Dr is ok and helped a little. The hygienist literally told me a pregnant mother , that I would kill my daughter for getting an infection to the brain for a cavity! Who says that?? The Dr ended up doing the cleaning which was kind of her. Needless to say now I go to another pediatric dentist and it has been the best decision I've made for my kids!

My 6 years old was seen at this place a few days ago and had the most traumatic experience with Dr. Tracy San Martin. He was hurt with a dental drill while she was performing either a cleaning or applying fluoride. His frenulum (skin between the gum and the upper lip) was cut with this tool and I can only imagine this can happen due to the lack of attention while performing This to my child. The correct thing to do if this was a true accident was to acknowledge it, apologize , and give him something for the pain or something to prevent any infection; but none of this was done. Then, my son expressed frustration for the way she pulled out his loose tooth with her hand which was very painful and he was in tears for this terrifying experience. He does not want to go back to any dentist now. A little more competence when using these tools and more compassion when dealing with kids should definitely be required as a dentist. Never again taking my son to this place.

I've been taking my kids here for years wouldn't go anywhere else. The doctors are great! My kids love the xbox and the movie they are alway playing. The staff are alway nice and attentive.

Dr. Poursaeid is extremely professional and she's amazing with kids! She works with a very nice and effective staff who always make you feel welcome with little to no wait time. If you have kids and are in search of a reliable, caring dentist for them, look no more! We've been a patient for many years and never regretted it even once. My 4 kids have been going to Kids Smile for over 8 years. Everytime has been a great experience. They thoroughly explain everything to me before doing it. From routine cleanings to x-rays, fillings, caps and extractions. It has been stress free for my kids. Also very helpful they send appointment reminders and confirmations through text and email.
