Amazing dentists, orthodontists, and front desk staff. The dental and ortho staff are primarily UCSF dental graduates, which is a highly regarded program. After many hours of research, the Bay Area for the best pricing, Smile Dental, by far, had the best package available for braces needed for my two pre-teens (now teen) children. Their teeth look great, they haven't shifted back, and they enjoy going to the dentist. The entire process of wearing braces was new to our family, and with Smile Dental, it was surprisingly easy. They are located in a cute shopping center that has grocery, pharmacy, and cafes (including Starbucks).

I arrived at 2:20pm for a 2:30pm appointment with my 2 year old toddler. First visit. The staff was very friendly and they had been expecting us, addressing my son by name which was a lovely gesture. I was given some forms to fill out which was no mean feat with with restless toddler. They have a play area with tons of toys so that kept his somewhat busy for a while. At 3:00pm we were escorted to the examination room where the tech asked a few questions and then proceeded to tell me the doctor would be a little while. By that point we had used all of my son's patience so we had to go back outside for him to play instead of destroying the examination room while waiting. Another 30 mins went by and we were about to leave when we were called back. The dentist was amazing. So patient and kind. She was gentle with my son and made his first visit as trauma free as possible. The wait was unacceptable considering my son's appointment lasted all of 10mins. I feel like he should have been seen on time and then continued with whatever they were doing before. I'm hoping this was a one off incident as it's the holidays, so we'll be back.

Staff was great to handle an appointment confusion and able to fit us in early. The assistant did a great job warming up my 2 year old with toys and brushing. Dr Chen was amazing and friendly to my son and answered any question that I had. Would for sure recommend to anyone.
