Dr. Isabel Mendoza was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Catholic University of Santa Maria in Peru. She later furthered her studies, receiving a Master of Science degree as well as specializing in pediatric dentistry at the Peruvian University of Cayetano Heredia. After completing her education in Peru, she achieved her goal to study in the United States where she completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Prior to establishing her career in Austin and Round Rock, Dr. Mendoza educated Peruvian students at the University of Cayetano Heredia. Her teaching experience as professor in the Undergraduate/Graduate Pediatric Dentistry Program enabled her to begin a private practice in Peru. Along with her private practice, her work experience includes working with the Medical Center of the National Police Department and Naval Pediatric Dentistry Department.
To stay on the forefront of dentistry, Dr. Mendoza maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwestern Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, University of Alabama School of Dentistry Alumni Association, and the Peruvian Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Now making Round Rock her home, Dr. Mendoza brings her indispensable pediatric dental experience in both clinical and research, as well as her bilingual mastery in English and Spanish. Her extensive training in pediatric dentistry allows Dr. Mendoza to take special interest in a nurturing, compassionate introduction of preventive dentistry to young children.
Stephanie is our newest team member as of February 2020. Stephanie is a native Texan who grew up in Round Rock and has over five years experience working in the dental field. She welcomes are patients with a smile and ensures that everyone has a unforgettable experience from the moment they walk through our doors. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, taking her boys to football and basketball games, traveling ,and her American bully Creed.
Leslye joined the Kids First family in June 2017. Leslye was raised in Rockdale, Texas and started her dental career as Registered Dental Assistant before transitioning to dental administration. As our treatment coordinator, she presents treatment plans to families including answering questions to ensure that our patients have a great visit with our dentist. In her free time Leslye enjoys spending time with family, travelling, watching Netflix, and her bulldog Koda.
Julie has been with Kids First Pediatric dentistry since 2013. She relocated to the Austin area from Arkansas to attend dental hygiene school at Wharton County Junior College. While in school, she was awarded the Colgate STAR Award for compassion in patient education and community service. She takes pleasure in educating children and parents in how to prevent tooth decay while making dental visits a fun experience so that families can be excited about return visits. In her free time she enjoys traveling, playing with her dog Mera, cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and catching up with friends and family back home.
