Once upon a time, around the year 1973, a young man named Dr. Gery Habansky decided to open a dental practice that focused exclusively on the needs of children and adolescents. He believed that children weren't just little adults, and that their dental needs required a focus on early instillation of prevention techniques and alleviating anxiety and pain. He spent three decades educating parents and doctors alike, and along the way, found other doctors who shared his beliefs and love of treating children and young adults. Through the years, we have grown from a single doctor practice to a multi-doctor practice. We have stayed true to our roots, and like our mentor, we have found our joy in treating pediatric patients in a small-town community setting. As parents ourselves, we know how hard it is to watch your child go through a stressful or difficult experience. That's exactly why we believe first and foremost in prevention and prefer not to do fillings! However, if your child does need a filling or dental work, we are committed to helping them through the experience with confidence, care, support, and dignity. We achieve this by surrounding ourselves with the area's best dental staff, who love what they do as much as we do. Every day, your children drive us to be better. But like the old lady in the shoe who didn't know what to do, we have run out of space too! Our Post Road, Fairfield location is still going strong after 44 years, but we recognized that there are many more children we can reach with additional locations. That's why we're thrilled to share that we have recently opened a second office on Westport Avenue in Norwalk, and a third on Elm Street in Monroe! Our Norwalk location allows children living south of Fairfield to visit us, and is proving to be a great convenience to Westport residents. The Norwalk location features pediatric dentistry, an orthodontic office, and an anesthesia suite for those patients who require sedation dentistry. Our Monroe location was opened over 30 years ago by Dr. Dave Knaus, who believes in educating patients and parents, and loves providing pediatric dental and orthodontic care to children and young adults. We can't wait to write our next chapter along with you! Now that you know a little about why we do what we do, come by and see how we do it! Call our office today to schedule your child's next dental visit.

Time management is very poor! Went in for 12 pm appointment doctor was not going to be available to start to fill my sons teeth until 1pm which is unacceptable so I walked out to make another appointment at the Fairfield location! Never going back to the Norwalk location! I also just canceled my daughter's future appointment at this location

Norwalk, Front desk people deserve 5 stars. Very nice, friendly and informative. Wisdom teeth were removed, my son took a long time to recover. Was never approached by staff about why was taking so long until I asked. I could not go to recovery and never saw a Dr or Nurse. Front desk person went to see why and was told he was still sleeping. When I inquired again after another half hour that I was getting nervous the manager went back to see what was going on. I understood that my son was still very groggy from anesthetiser and needed to be able to walk. When he was finally brought out, the nurse was very good about explaining what to do etc. said I had everything I needed in the bag. Got my son in the car who's mouth was bleeding. Went to get the gauze and there was none in the bag I had to leave him in the car and run back in to get it. Was told to put ice packs on the location as soon as I got home. In the bag was 1 small ice pack. He had teethe out from both sides! Hmm which side to choose. I of course went and bought what was needed and again had to leave him in the car!!! I guess my point is this. After having 2 older children get their wisdom teeth out at NON Pediatric oral surgeons offices, where they came out and their heads were wrapped with ice packs to alleviate excess swelling, being brought to the car in a wheelchair so they don't fall and the overall care they received and my experience at a Pediatric oral surgeons office ( which was recommended because my son has Down Syndrome and have always been impressed by the Fairfield office, this experience was sub par. Though I am sure the Oral Surgeon was very good, all the Dentists and Orthodontists that have treated my son have been. I would not be able to consciously recommend this office for Oral Surgery. I commonly do not do reviews as such, but felt compelled to do because I was asked.

Dr. Chandwani is very calm and explains things very well. I had seen him pre COVID and he fixed my "lockjaw" with changes to my mouth guard. But having problems with my TMJ again, possibly related to having COVID. Dr. Chandwani again adjusted my mouth guard and did some other things but too early to tell what's going to work. This process takes time.

I found Dr Chandwani to be attentive, responsive, intelligent and competent . My one suggestion would be to have the street number visible from the road. Even with the correct address, it took me an extra 15 minutes to find the office because I could not see his name or the street number while driving up and down Westport Ave.
