Once upon a time, around the year 1973, a young man named Dr. Gery Habansky decided to open a dental practice that focused exclusively on the needs of children and adolescents. He believed that children weren't just little adults, and that their dental needs required a focus on early instillation of prevention techniques and alleviating anxiety and pain. He spent three decades educating parents and doctors alike, and along the way, found other doctors who shared his beliefs and love of treating children and young adults. Through the years, we have grown from a single doctor practice to a multi-doctor practice. We have stayed true to our roots, and like our mentor, we have found our joy in treating pediatric patients in a small-town community setting. As parents ourselves, we know how hard it is to watch your child go through a stressful or difficult experience. That's exactly why we believe first and foremost in prevention and prefer not to do fillings! However, if your child does need a filling or dental work, we are committed to helping them through the experience with confidence, care, support, and dignity. We achieve this by surrounding ourselves with the area's best dental staff, who love what they do as much as we do. Every day, your children drive us to be better. But like the old lady in the shoe who didn't know what to do, we have run out of space too! Our Post Road, Fairfield location is still going strong after 44 years, but we recognized that there are many more children we can reach with additional locations. That's why we're thrilled to share that we have recently opened a second office on Westport Avenue in Norwalk, and a third on Elm Street in Monroe! Our Norwalk location allows children living south of Fairfield to visit us, and is proving to be a great convenience to Westport residents. The Norwalk location features pediatric dentistry, an orthodontic office, and an anesthesia suite for those patients who require sedation dentistry. Our Monroe location was opened over 30 years ago by Dr. Dave Knaus, who believes in educating patients and parents, and loves providing pediatric dental and orthodontic care to children and young adults. We can't wait to write our next chapter along with you! Now that you know a little about why we do what we do, come by and see how we do it! Call our office today to schedule your child's next dental visit.

The staff here are so friendly and do a wonderful job putting kids at ease during appointments! The hygienist introduced each tool to my two year old to make him feel more comfortable and proceeded at his pace. I appreciate how Kid's First makes regular cleanings something we look forward to.

I used to love this place but unfortunately costumer service lately has been going down the hill. I have called multiple times asking to speak to a manager and every time I am told someone will call me back and as of now I still have not heard back. They seem to busy and staff don't care.

Terrible, incompetent customer service and front desk staff who mistreat people and share HIPAA data out loud. There are so many better pediatric dentists around and even this group's Norwalk office is far better than the Fairfield location. It's happened every time we go there so shame on us for not learning our lesson sooner. Stay far away.

From the receptionist to Sam and Dr. Joy, they are amazing, staff was very courteous and friendly. I love how they acknowledged my sons preferences since he's on the spectrum. Talk about top tier dentistry.

I waited over an hour and a half to have my daughter's teeth cleaned. There were plenty of kids going in and out for the same thing but we had to wait for so long. The lady who checked us in didn't even bother to check what's taking so long then finally after 45 minutes and 8 other children later we were seen.

I have been bringing my son here for years! I love the staff, from checking in to checking out. The atmosphere is light and inviting. The staff is always try to spark up a conversation with my son- that shows me they care about a lot more than teeth! I love the the automatic cleaning appointments because I can sometimes be forgetful, and if the date and time does not work, they are really great about helping me to reschedule. Like any office, they run into some hiccups, but I can see that they really try to accommodate everyone. They understand that life happens and sometimes you may have to cancel an appointment last minute, and yet they will still try to accommodate you. All they ask, is you let them know. That is something that should be done and I think that is the least I can do- I don't like to waste people's time, they could have probably given my spot to another kid who needs it. There is nothing in life that is perfect, but at Kids First Dentistry- you can tell they really try and really care about there patients!

I had to wait in the chair for a long time and when the dentist was cleaning my teeth she kept poking my gums and gave me a cut on the top of my mouth.
