Dr. Peter Yi was raised in New York City and received his Bachelor of Science in biology from the State University of New York at Albany. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University in Long Island, where he earned multiple awards and honors, including being the top dental student of his class in his freshman, sophomore and junior years. He was awarded the Leon Einsenbud Award for excellence in oral pathology and oral medicine, the Long Island Academy of Odontology Award for excellence in clinical and academic studies, the Nancy Wender Award of High Achievement for superior performance in the National Board Examination, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award, and the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence.
Dr. Yi was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society, awarded only to the top three students of his class. Dr. Yi continued his post-doctoral dental studies at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he received his training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Yi is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University. This helps ensure that Dr. Yi stays up-to-date with the latest advances in orthodontics and dentistry so that his patients can receive the highest standard of service that they deserve.
Dr. Yi is married with a son and daughter. Away from the office, he enjoys traveling, hiking, reading a good book, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan, closely following the Jets, Mets and Knicks. Dr. Yi is very excited to serve Gainesville and the surrounding communities. He is passionate about bringing amazing smiles to his patients and feels so blessed to be able to do what he loves!

Poor excuse for a dental practice. The dentist ZUAVEZA ABRAHAM IS A COWARD and LIAR. If you have private dental insurance where you actually have a career and a solid job. this is NOT THE place. They cater to MEDICAID patients only where everything is free for them off of working people's taxpayer dollars. Had an appt for my son for dental filling. Nitrous Oxide was to be used as I had stated when the appt. was made with no problem. Arrived on time. The office said I owed over $300.00 with insurance. The truth is they never ran the insurance. When I insisted then they discovered that most of the services were covered. By that time it was 30 mins later. Then they said that Dr. Abraham would not see my son b/c of the time. I told them this was their fault by not doing their jobs and verifying the insurance. Then they tried to say that he needed conscious sedation and that they have said that several times. THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE. My son has never seen Dr. Abraham before. When the appt was made it was a choice of nitrous oxide vs conscious sedation. NOT A REQUIREMENT. TERRIBLE PRACTICE. I will be reporting this facility and the dental provider for discrimination.

Took my son here for his first dental visit. He was very fussy and agitated because he doesn't like when people touch his face and they helped me hold him while they cleaned his teeth. They didn't get frustrated with him, all the staff were very respectful and welcoming. I will highly recommend anyone to take their children there. Wish I discovered this place before hand so that my son and I could've went to the same dental office. He was even more comfortable on his second visit because it took less people to hold him. A real welcoming place. I would highly recommend for adults and children.

They always do what the feel is best for your child, especially when it comes to treatment. They are not quick to put your kid to sleep unless they feel it's really needed. I took my son to another dental office and just because he was autistic they quickly wanted to put him asleep even tho his behavior was fine during the initial cleaning and X-ray. When I switched to this office (for other reasons as well) they acknowledged that his behavior didn't warrant putting him to sleep. Great office and staff!

This practice is infested with unprofessionals! I don't recommend it at all. I took my kids to Kids and Family Dental Manassas a week ago. They made me wait for 40 minutes despite checking in right on time. The nurse just got rid of my kids. She didn't even spend 3 minutes cleaning my kids teeth. They had balloons in the cleaning room that excite kids but they wouldn't give it to a kid (2 yo) asking for it constantly while they could put those balloons in a spot kids wouldn't see it and then give them those once they finish.
