With two convenient locations in Gainesville and Flowery Branch, our compassionate staff is specially trained in providing a wide range of dental services to infants, children, and teens, and children with special behavioral and healthcare needs.
Dr. Vaughn welcomes you to Kids Dentistry of North Georgia! For Dr. Ryan M. Vaughn, opening a pediatric dental practice is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. He believes in focusing on the whole health of a child and puts that belief into practice in his offices by taking a reasoned and holistic approach with his patients, focusing as much on prevention as treatment.
With an Applied Mathematics degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Vaughn went on to pursue his dental education at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) and performed his dental residency at MGC and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Vaughn is a board- certified pediatric dentist and is a member of many professional organizations including the Georgia Dental Association, where he serves as district president, the Hinman Dental Society, Pierre Fauchard, the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
He and his wife, Julie, live in Flowery Branch with their four children, Madeleine, Eli, Scarlett and Piper, and their two dogs Lily and Lola. Dr. Vaughn is an avid Georgia Tech fan attending football games whenever possible, an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and a collector of transformers.
Dr. Simon loves giving children a reason to smile by striving to provide a fun, safe, and relaxed experience at the dental office! Her goal is to be a positive influence in childrens lives by forming lifelong relationships with her patients and their families built on trust, kindness, and compassion.
Born in Winder, Ga., and raised in Buford, Dr. Simon attended the University of Georgia, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Biological Science. She went on to graduate from the Medical College of Georgias College of Dental Medicine in 2012, where her scholastic excellence and ethical character earned her induction into the dental honor society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After practicing general dentistry in Macon for two years, she quickly discovered her true passion for treating children of all ages and completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Bon Secours St. Marys Hospital of Richmond, Virginia, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Simons professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
She and her husband Ben are thrilled to have settled their family back in Georgia. Dr. Simon enjoys playing with her dog Beauregard, traveling, hiking, camping, cooking, and of course, UGA football (Go Dawgs!). She is looking forward to welcoming you to our office family.

Dr. Vaughn is the best! I'm so thankful we were referred to him! My son had some dental work that needed to be done immediately. Dr. Vaughn got us in right away & took care of the issue. He made us feel so comfortable, which really helped this anxious momma! We won't be going anywhere else!

I had a co worker refer them, because we both have special needs children and she uses them for all her children. I called to try to get an appointment and was told they take Medicaid just not my Medicaid. I was told I could choose to pay out of pocket which was well over $200. I'm not on Medicaid for the fun of it. The person on the phone was rude and honestly find it pathetic how they take some forms of Medicaid, but out right refuses others. Thanks for nothing! The absolute kicker was the fact that a week or two before I had called a left them a message with my info and number requesting information yet not one person in that office made any effort to return the call. Clearly this business needs some training in customer service!

We've been visiting kids dentistry in Gainesville for the better part of 6 years! My four sons two are autistic Mr. Vaughn is such a kind soul very family oriented! The girls are awesome too very sweet I have videos of them singing to my children! I would recommend them to anybody!

My son is a special needs adult and needs to be put to sleep for any dental care. They are the only dentist that work out of the hospital in our area. Dr Vaughn was absolutely amazing and was wonderful with my son.

I love this dentist for my children, my daughter was having a toothache and even with being a new patient they did their best to fit her into the schedule, I'm sooo impressed on how they cater to the children, from the front desk, hygienist to Dr. Simon taking her time to explain the plan of treatment allowing me time to ask questions. Being new to Gainesville it was hard to find a dentist that took the time to care for our children. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience.

This place is the Best!! I have 2 kids. I take them every 6 months now ! They are great with the kids and are very kind and understanding with the kids . Definitely recommend going here.

Thank you Dr. Vaughn and to the team for being so kind and patient with my 2 year old. He didn't like his visit while cleaning his teeth, but he loves his new rubber duck and toothbrush and toothpaste he got for being a champ! Would definitely recommend the Gainesville location!

My son turns 3 this month and I knew we were due for his 1st visit. I'm sure I should have done it sooner but wanted to make sure he was mentally prepared! He's been asking to go for weeks now so I made the appointment and HE DID AMAZING! They were all so welcoming, sweet and patient with my high energy child! I am so very happy I found this place and highly recommend them!

We started coming to Dr. Vaughn 7 years ago after another dentist treated us very poorly and nearly caused my child to go into cardiac arrest by *almost * giving her anesthesia that had egg in it when she is deathly allergic to eggs. He and his staff are phenomenal, even with my son who has a horrible gag reflex. I cannot recommend them enough!! The kindest, most knowledgeable dentist around and you can tell that he was made for this profession.
