Dr. Chu is a pediatric dentist who brings a fun and friendly approach to dentistry. Dr. Chu has earned a reputation for excellent patient care over the years. He strives to make sure that you and your child will have a positive dental experience at Kids Dental Studio. Dr. Chu understands the importance of a childs early dental experience and how it affects their future outlook toward dental care. He is dedicated to providing children of all ages with the high-quality dentistry they need and deserve.
Dr. Chu completed his undergraduate studies at New York University. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. During his final year of dental school, he was accepted to the Pediatric Honors Program. After dental school, Dr. Chu completed a one-year general practice residency program at Staten Island University Hospital before returning to New York University to receive his advanced training in pediatric dentistry. During his specialty training, Dr. Chu gained invaluable experience while rotating at Bellevue Hospital and the Rose F. Kennedy University Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Chu is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Queens County Dental Society.
Dr. Chan-Chu is an orthodontist who enjoys working with her patients to create a healthy and confident smile. She understands that orthodontic care can do more than just give your child a beautiful smile. It can improve long-term dental health and instill self-confidence in your child. She is trained to provide your child with the most effective treatment using the latest orthodontic technologies such as ceramic (tooth-colored) braces and Invisalign in addition to metal braces. She will be happy to discuss with you your concerns as well as all treatment options in easy-to-understand-terms.
Dr. Chan-Chu grew up in Toronto Ontario. She completed her undergraduate studies and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry where she graduated with honors. Following her interest in Orthodontics, Dr. Chan-Chu then left Toronto to receive her specialty training in Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. She served as a clinical instructor in Orthodontics for undergraduate dental students while she was in the program. Dr. Chan-Chu has practiced and is currently licensed to practice in the states of New York, New Jersey, as well as Toronto, Ontario. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Chan-Chu is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists

I took my daughter to see Dr. Chu almost 10 years ago when she had an absess in her tooth he also found other issues my other dentist didn't. He was so patient with her and her anxiety about all the procedures and she came out loving Dentists. He's the best.

As a first time parent, I must say that my experience at Kids Dental Studio has been nothing less than fantastic. Dr. Chu is phenomenal--he is patient, gentle and brilliant. I am fully confident bringing my child to him for preventive services and for emergencies. I highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic 1st time experience for my daughter who suffers from really bad anxiety. He was really quick and efficient while keeping a calm presence for my daughter. The front staff cant get any better, Arlene was a sweet heart everything looked clean and organized. The waiting room is perfect as well they have arcade games and also a interactive TV (XBOX KINECT). The bathroom was clean and everything was just pleasant. This place lives up to its 5 star rating. Keep up the great work.

I had the most enjoyable experience with Dr. Chu. The transition into braces for my daughter was very smooth. Dr. Chu always kept us informed every step of the way. She gave us her HONEST opinion of the outcome. I loved that about her. After 2 1/2 years of visits (which were enjoyable because Dr. Chu has is very funny) my daughter's smile is beautiful!!! Thank you Dr. Chu for everything.

I have only positive things to say about Kids Dental Studio. I have been going to this practice with my two sons for several years. Dr. Chu, Dr. Chan- Chu and their entire staff have been nothing but courteous and professional each time. The office is bright and fun, and the exam rooms are updated and kid friendly. Both doctors make a great team. They are friendly, have a gentle manner about them and have a natural and relaxing way with kids. They have a genuine concern for their patients and it shows in the level of care they provide. I trust their judgement and believe the care of their patients are of the utmost importance to them. Any questions or concerns I have ever had were answered in great detail and I was given ample time to decide before any big procedures were performed on my kids. If I had reservations, they were put to rest. My oldest son just had his braces removed a few months ago. His teeth look beautiful thanks to Dr. Chan- Chu. She did a wonderful job and restored his confidence to smile once more. Infact, my younger son will be fitted for braces soon and I can't wait to see the outcome! I would highly recommend Kids Dental Studio where you can feel confident in receiving only the best dental care for your family.

Dentist was by referral from friends. Dr. Chu is excellent with patients and family; patient and kind, asks the parents if they have any questions, makes sure the family's needs are met, explains everything thoroughly before proceeding, and offers suggestions rather than impose them. My children also love going to him, and it is their second visit. He makes the dental visit for children fun so they are not traumatized. Speaking of fun, the waiting room has arcades!

Highly recommend this kids dentist office. My kids started coming here maybe like 4-5 years ago and the staff are very friendly and doctors are great. We also have a child with braces and Dr. Chan offers guidance on my child's orthopedic growth. Office is clean and very kid friendly with arcades and other games for kids to play with.

This is the ONLY dentist I will send my children. Dr Chu and all of his assistants are AMAZING! When you're dealing with children there's a certain patience and warmth you need...and this place has it! 100% recommend to anyone!!!!
