Dr. Buccino and Dr. Oliveira have extensive training and experience in all areas of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. They are committed to staying abreast of the latest techniques and scientific advances in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics by reviewing current dental journals and attending continuing education courses. Our office provide comprehensive services such as preventive dentistry, sealants, restorative dentistry, orthodontics, Invisalign, infant dental care, pediatric dental trauma, oral surgery, nitrous oxide analgesia (laughing gas), conscious sedation (a way of using medication to relax a child without the loss of consciousness), and the option of treatment under general anesthesia in the hospital.
Michael Buccino, D.D.S., M.S.D. has practiced pediatric dentistry in Massachusetts since 1988. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1978 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1982. Graduating among the top of his dental class, he also received the highest score in the nation in the pediatric dentistry/orthodontic section on Part II of the National Dental Board Examinations. Dr. Buccino is listed in the Guide to Americas Top Dentists every year. Over the years, Dr. Buccino was a Referee for Pediatric Dentistry, the official journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
In 1989, Dr. Buccino received a Diploma for the successful completion of a 425-day curriculum in comprehensive orthodontics at the Doyle Seminar series of advanced courses in progressive knowledge and techniques for earlier and better patient care. Dr. Buccino wrote his Master Thesis on informed consent and has also published articles in professional dental journals on multiple supernumerary teeth and Rett Syndrome. Since 2003, Dr. Buccino has taken five one year courses through the American Orthodontic Society. He studied with Dr. Leonard J. Carapezza, D.M.D. for two years taking the Beginning and the Advanced courses entitled Early Treatment of Malocclusion. The following year in 2006, Dr. Buccino studied with Dr. Larry White, D.D.S., M.S.D. and Dr. William E. Wyatt Sr., D.D.S., F.A.C.D., F.I.C.D. in a one year Advanced Orthodontics course. In 2009, Dr. Buccino completed Dr. Robert Geretys two year course in Comprehensive Orthodontic Education. Periodically, he gives dental presentations to dentists, pediatricians, hygienists and the general public.
Dr. Buccino is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Southeastern District Dental Society. He was Chairman, Vice-Chair, and Chair-Elect of the Southeastern District Dental Society, past Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Fall River Dental Society, and co-founder of the Middleboro-Lakeville dental study group. He is also on the medical staffs at Brockton Hospital located in Brockton, Massachusetts, St. Annes Hospital and the Same Day SurgiClinic located in Fall River, Massachusetts.
Dr. Buccino is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In order to achieve this distinguished designation, pediatric dentists must complete rigorous examinations and a clinical survey before a group of peers from across the country. This voluntary evaluation is attempted by only a small percentage of pediatric dentists. Upon successful completion of the examination, pediatric dentists are named Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Buccino is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
I am a Registered Dental Hygienist graduate from Bristol Community College. I joined Kids Dental Cares team in 2000 and love working with the children. Dr. Buccino is a very knowledgeable pediatric dentist. I have been able to grow in my field. As a hygienist, I am one of the first members of our team that will meet your child. When they come for their first cleaning my goal is to make it happy and fun. When Im not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. We like to travel and spending lots of time outside. I look forward to meeting you and your family.

Hi, my name is Judi and I am Dr. Buccinos Dental Assistant at Kids Dental Care. I have been working with at Kids Dental Care since 1997. He is a great pediatric dentist who truly cares about the health of your childs teeth and has a wonderful staff. My role as his dental assistant is to prepare or educate your child about our dental instruments before we use them. Using kid friendly names, together we listen to the different sounds or get to touch and feel them so to set aside the fears. I love the challenges each day brings, and I look forward to helping your child achieve happy and healthy smiles!

Hi Im Deb! I am the Financial Administrator and have been with Kids Dental Care since 2009. I really enjoy my job and the people I help on a daily basis. I have been in the dental field for over 25 years mostly working at the front desk; it has been an interesting and fulfilling career. In my spare time, I like to read, garden, enjoy the water, playing WII sports, watching my daughter play softball and just relaxing with my family.

This review is for the office staff only. Dr. Buccino and the dental hygienists were wonderful with my daughter and very gentle. The office staff, particularly the scheduler (I will refrain from providing her name), I would give zero stars to if I could. I would have stayed if it were only Dr. Buccino. However, we've been having slight issues with scheduling since the beginning which took a dramatic nose dive this year. Originally, we would schedule and then get a reminder for a half hour difference than we set- not a huge deal. This year was a mess, and most recently the scheduler attempted to gaslight me. My daughter had an appointment, and half an hour before the appointment, I receive a message saying it needed to be cancelled, would June ... work (mind you it was a rude message for cancelling last minute). I call back and say we can't do that, but could we do day later? Sure, fine. Day before we get the text message AND email reminder for 9 AM. We show up 10 minutes before the appointment and call per COVID guidelines. Apparently there is no appointment in the book, never was according to the scheduler. She says she was the one who spoke to me and appointment is a week later. I say, we received the reminders. She is INSISTENT there was never any appointment and I made a mistake and does not apologize but proceeds to TELL me to call back when I can reschedule. I go back to my car, call the number again and speak with a different woman, who confirms we DID have an appointment that day at that time, but someone cancelled it in the system. The scheduler gets on the phone and finally apologizes and admits she did it. It would be one thing if she called and told us ahead of time she didn't have the staff but to lie to me and then treat me like I was crazy was beyond the pale. We have since switched and have of course had no luck with them responding to our current dentist requesting xrays. My daughter has had several xrays and they just said if they had them they would send. I wish Dr. Buccino well, but I think he needs to reevaluate the professionalism of his current scheduler.

My son was traumatized by his experience there. When he was 5, he needed multiple cavities filled and was getting this work done in the office over multiple appointments. We had some appointments that went okay, and some staff that was really friendly, which is why I'm not giving them a 1. When one of the assistants was taking his X-rays, she got frustrated with him gagging and told him to "STOP DOING THAT" despite the fact that a) he's a kid and you can't just say "STOP" b) it is a REFLEX, not intentional. Our last time there, Dr. Buccino put a plastic guard in my son's mouth so he could work on one of his fillings. It looked like a latex material, like a cut balloon that went across his bottom palette. My son tried so hard to let the dentist work, but he was extremely nervous, and had tears streaming down his face because he was panicked about the plastic and felt like he couldn't breathe. Just watching it I was wondering how he could breathe fully, because at times they pushed another piece of plastic over his nose and I asked if they were sure he could fully breathe or asked them if they were aware it was over his nose. Dr. Buccino and the asst seemed frustrated and just told him he was "fine". After my son sat panicking but working through it while they drilled, Dr Buccino suddenly filled the tooth and said we'd have to "come back again because he's not cooperating". We left immediately and never came back. We found a dentist who is caring, patient, and actually listens to his patients' needs and never puts plastic over his nose and mouth. It took a lot to get my son comfortable going to the dentist again.

I've called and left messages 3x, the new patient coordinator STILL hasn't gotten back to me. I'll be looking elsewhere now. Edited to add: I called the middleboro office hoping they had a different team. I was told to leave a message with the "new patient coordinator" I asked if it was the same in Fall River and was told yes. I kindly told her this was my now 4th call.

My son has been a patient at the Kids Dental Care in Fall River for at least 4 years now. great staff who shows they really care about their patients. Dr. Kevin Oliveira has been great with keeping up with my son bracers he's one of the best.. Thank you all for your great work. A special thanks to doctor Oliveira for giving my son a great smile.

I had a bad feeling about this place from the beginning. They used to have a dentist there that was very good with kids and very nice. Now they just have the one dentist who doesn't seem so great with kids, doesn't explain things etc. my daughter had a couple cavities and it took months to actually get an appointment for fillings, even being on the waiting list!! Then it finally comes the day and first time they said my daughter was too nervous so they are just going to show her all the steps that will be done. (Yes we were billed for this) they did that and then had to wait more months for next appointment which was supposed to be at 2:00 and they tell me it wasn't 2:00 it was 10:00 (I know for a fact it was 2:00) so finally I found a new dentist. They sent 2 requests for xrays with no response, I call today saying I will go pick up and they say no you can't!!! Then hung up on me!!!
